QUESTION:

What's the craziest thing you've ever predicted?

I came across this question earlier as I was scouring the daily news. It related to an article about a young athlete- turns out she'd written her 'dreams' down in a journal and... years later, the journal unearthed by her mother showed most of the daughter's dreams had come true.

Including 'predicting' Olympic Gold.

I am not of the 'blueprint' mindset; planning my future has not proven so easy- my brother on the other hand- his life was mapped out before he reached his first decade. And his blueprint has in fact 'delivered' everything dreamt-about/imagined and then some!

At the moment (and rather curiously) I am revisiting the 'power of thought'. Of intent.

What have I predicted?

Too many things to mention here. But, I have to wonder: Are these predictions or fact-based assumptions?

I predicted 'pet insurance'... decades before it came to be. I predicted 'Google Maps' and apps for this and that... looooooong before apps were 'a thing'. Or Google!

These were all fact-based assumptions, however; else logically following advances in particular fields and projecting ahead. They weren't predictions- say the way Nostradamus predicted... or the Indian guru who visited my video store back in my early 20's and whose 'predictions' came to pass.

But there's sure to be 'original thought' out there. That's the real question: Are predictions a gift of foresight or merely a decision reached off of accumulated knowledge?  

If you were to write 100 'things to do before I die' and hide this paper and revisit it decades later- how much of what you'd written will have come to pass? Is intent - the basis behind the power of thought - enough to cause a chain reaction in the mind... and in the universe?

Oh yeah... I also predicted we'd end up with a single 'sex' one day. The blurring/blending of the male/female till there was a third 'fuzzy' entity created out of the two. (Or as it turns out, several dozen new entities and counting!) That's my craziest one. And I was wayyyyyy off! I didn't know the word 'spectrum' back then nor its implications/applications alas!
