"Well, that's great!" Jaemin's dad grins with his fangs showing.

Jeno couldn't help but bite his lower lip nervously, what did Jaemin's dad even mean? Is he happy for them or happy Jaemin brought a human for dinner?

But then again, his worried thoughts disappeared when he felt a squeeze on his hand, making him remember what he had been telling himself about Jaemin's parents.

He won't treat them differently, they're not scary, he should firstly know them fully.

"Are you not mad?" Jaemin breaks Jeno's daydream, raising a brow at his dad.

Jaemin's parents couldn't help but chuckle, "son, I know I've been tough on you sometimes, but we're not mad at all." His father said.

Mina nods along with a smile on her face, "yeah, we understand. Besides, he's your soulmate and you love him, we can't change that."

Hearing a certain part of her statement, Jaemin's ears slowly turn red as he scratches his nape with his free hand. "Who told you?" He asks.

"Hendery was excited about something when he came over to deliver a few things from his family, I sort of guessed it." Mina shrugs with a giggle.

Dracula turns to Jeno with a friendly look, "if you're worried about us eating you, don't worry, we have great self-control. And we don't want to hurt our son's beloved."

Jeno purses his lips and nods shyly, still a little hesitant around them. "We're also practicing on getting used to animal blood more, so if we will ever meet your human friends, they're safe too." Dracula adds.

"Welcome to the family, Jeno!" Mina exclaims happily and stands up with open arms, beckoning the human boy for a hug.

Jeno glances at Jaemin beside him who was a little embarrassed but nonetheless gave him a nod, signaling for a 'go'.

Once given permission, the human boy stands up as well and slowly approaches Mina for a hug.

When Mina hugs him, she was gentle and comfortable. No, she wasn't as warm as the usual human hugs Jeno gets, but it's still okay.

When they pulled away, Dracula walks over and gently places his hand on Jeno's shoulder, lightly squeezing it as he says, "you're great, kid. Welcome to the family."

"Ahh! I can't wait for the wedding!" Mina suddenly squeals as she claps her hands in excitement.

Jaemin face palms and pulls Jeno back to his side, "okay mom and dad, that's enough, how about let's have dinner now?" He suggests, obviously changing the topic.

Knowing him too well, his parents laughed in amusement before linking arms with each other as they walked out of the library first.

Walking behind them, Jaemin sighs and turns his head to see his human boyfriend's blushing face. "I'm sorry about them, pup." He apologizes.

The younger boy raises a brow despite his flushed face, "don't apologize, Jaeminie hyung. It's all good, I'm guessing they like to tease you a lot?" He reassures.

Chuckling, Jaemin shakes his head with a small shrug of his shoulders, "often, but now they're being extra than usual since I have you now."

Giggling, Jeno gave him a quick kiss on his jawline, "that's alright, atleast you're not getting teased alone now." He quips.

While they were teasing and talking to each other, they failed to notice Jaemin's parents glancing over their shoulders to look at them as they entered the dining room.

Both of them had a proud smile on their faces as Mina giggles when Jeno silently whines in habit once Jaemin whispers to him.

From the small smirk on their son's face, Dracula and Mina shake their heads, finding it silly even though what their son whispered to Jeno could be a little... Private.

Sure they could try to read Jaemin's thoughts, but they've stopped doing that when the boy turned eight years old and he complained about it, wanting to have privacy.

Luckily they understood and respected that, so they've never really used that power unless their son was lying for a bad reason.

They hear Jeno gasp in awe, looking around the big dining room with big windows around, a view of the vampire kingdom from a high level.

Jeno was still a tad bit nervous around Jaemin's parents, not only because they're vampires and their natures are different, but they're royalty.

If he was being honest, he low-key expected to be served with blood or whatever vampires usually eat– Jaemin barely even eats his bag of chips, just waiting for Jeno's approval to drink his blood.

But he was a little taken aback when he was served with actual human food and apple juice. He even accidentally asked out loud if these are actually real or not.

Fortunately, the vampire married couple found him cute for asking that and reassured him that those are indeed edible human food.

No blood or fresh corpse from their victims mixed within. Jeno kinda imagined a human heart on the table too just like in the movies, which made his vampire boyfriend laugh.

Sooner or later, he then relaxes when he feels more comfortable with the vampire married couple's presence.

"Now, Jeno," Dracula starts off when they're all having dessert– which is some yummy sorbet. When the said boy looks up with a hum, Dracula couldn't help but ask.

"I've heard Jaemin calls you a cute nickname," ah, here we go again.

As if on cue, Jaemin pauses as Mina giggles and continues, "what's the meaning behind it? I mean, no offense we know you're a human and it's quite cute. However, I'm intrigued."

Sighing, the vampire prince clears his throat while looking away, too embarrassed with this topic even though it's something simple.

Hell, even Jeno's biting back a smile.

"I call him that because he looks and acts like one." Jaemin mumbles.

"Like what? You have to be specific, son." Dracula grins, sending a small joking wink at Jeno.

The human boy bites on his small spoon, watching everything happen. "You guys said you heard me say it." The vampire prince mutters.

Mina then frowns, "we aren't too sure if we heard it correctly. We need some confirmation, honey." She persuades.

Her son shuts his eyes and contemplates, soon deciding to just get this over with and answer them.

"I call him 'pup', mom and dad." He pauses just in time to hear the quiet "ooh's" from not only his parents, but the servants and the guards in the room too. Obviously joining in on the teasing.

"Because he's adorable like a little puppy despite not being a werewolf– in fact, he's better than any werewolf. And he looks like that puppy emoji in those phones because of his soulmate mark." He rambles.

Hearing them snicker, he turns back to face them and ready to glare but instead was given a long kiss on his cheek.

In an instant and completely not realizing it himself, he softens to look at the human boy beside him who's mouth was a little messy from the dessert he had.

Jeno was blushing madly yet still smiles at him, "thank you hyung," he shyly mumbles as Jaemin's parents watch in awe when their son kisses his human boyfriend on the forehead.

"My dear soulmate, how much sweeter can you be? Eek~"

"Pup, I have so much more to say... But I'll spare you're cute red face for now."
