I want to first apologize for not updating in so long! I've gotten most of a school work out of the way... summer is almost here!! So I should be able to update at least once a week (probably not more because I'm working on the Sequel To You're Mine... but you didn't hear it from me)...
Mabel's POV
"Dinners ready!" I yelled to Dipper.
"Coming," he replied.
I watched him pull up his socks and try to hide his bruises. He had been acting very weird lately, and by lately I mean all week. Though over the last few hours he always seems on edge.
"BOO!" I screamed, as he came around the corner.
"AH! Mabel don't do that!" He yelled, causing me to laugh.
I didn't think he would get that scared, but the look on his face told me otherwise. He looked terrified.
Had I made him that scared?
"Come on ya knuckle heads!" Grunkle Stan called from the table.
I ran to sit down beside Dipper. He stared at his food blankly, no expression looming over his face. Not to mention he was nervously banging his foot under the table.
"You okay?" I whispered in his ear.
He looked at me slowly before giving a very un-reassuring nod. Sighing I let it go. If there was something Dipper needed to talk about I trusted him to tell me.
Dipper's POV
"You okay?" Mabel whispered in my ear.
Turning towards her, I gave a quick nod. She seemed unconvinced by my sudden movement. It's not like I could tell her Bill is back. I couldn't ever tell her. No matter how close we are, I can't tell her.
"Well dig in!" Grunkle Ford laughed.
Mabel grabbed some spaghetti while I sat and stared at my plate.
"Dipper aren't you hungry?" Someone asked.
I quickly blinked, getting rid of the film over my eyes, and clearing my head. Nodding, I took the large fork and shoveled spaghetti onto my plate.
Though the food looked appetizing I wasn't the least bit hungry. I tried taking a bite of the spaghetti, but even the taste seemed meaningless.
What is wrong with me? Just take a deep breath. In. Out. In. Out. Think of something that will calm you. Something calm..? Hmm. Oh! The song.
My mind seemed to bring up that song a lot. I still hadn't figured out where it came from, but for some reason it reassured me that I wasn't as lonely as I felt.
Closing my eyes, I began humming the tune quietly hoping to calm myself.
"We'll meet again," I whispered, "don't know where don't know-"
I heard a large click and I opened my eyes to see Grunkle Ford's gun pressed to my temple. I shrunk back shocked by the sudden action.
"Where did you hear that song?!" Grunkle Ford growled through clenched teeth.
"I-I don't know," I choked out, "ho-honest!"
"Ford what are you doing?" Stan yelled and stood from the table.
Mabel sat beside me with a shocked look on her face. Her head turned between Grunkle Ford and I.
"Don't hurt him!" Mabel shrieked.
"That's not Dipper, Mabel! That's Bill!"
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit!
"W-what do you mean? It's me Grunkle Ford! Dipper!"
If Bill found out that they knew, he'd kill me! I have to convince him that Bill isn't back!
"How do you know?" Stan asked tugging on his brothers arm.
"That's the song Bill sang during weirdmaggedon! I remember it plane as day."
I tried to move from the aim of the gun, but he held it to my forehead.
"I heard it on the radio," I lied, "just yesterday it was on the radio."
"Nice try Bill! If it is you Dipper, prove it."
How the hell was I supposed to prove that?
"I could see if it's on the radio again?"
Ford grabbed the small radio from the counter and brought it to the table. Turning it on to the nearest station, he turned up the volume.
After a few songs, to my utter surprise, the song came on.
What the hell?
Ford pulled his gun from my temple, and engulfed me in a hug. Reluctantly, I wrapped my arms around him as well.
"I'm so sorry Dipper! I just wanted to be sure it wasn't Bill. If he was still alive I don't know what would happen."
"It's okay," I said after a while.
Though I'm hurt he thought I was Bill, I couldn't blame him. After all Bill had already possessed my body. What could he be capable of if he possessed my body and still had his powers?
"W-would it be okay if I finished dinner early? I'm not really hungry."
"Sure," Grunkle Ford answered as I stood from the table, "oh and Dipper. I'm really sorry. Forgive me?"
I nodded and ran upstairs to the attic as fast as my legs could carry me. Jumped onto my bed I plopped my face into the pillow.
"Pine Tree I didn't realize how bad you were at keeping secrets."
I rolled over and stood quickly. My eyes locked with the familiar dream demon except this time he took a different form. He was human, though he was floating a few inches from the ground, and a large set of chains hung in his hands.
"B-Bill!" I choked out.
"When will you learn?" He asked, circling me, as he twirled the chain in his hands.
"They don't know! I promise!" I gulped.
Bill eyed me closely before releasing a heavy and unneeded sigh.
"Your great uncle came awfully close to finding out though! I had to pull a few strings to find that song."
"Wait that was You?"
"You didn't think I'd let Ford kill my play thing now did you?" Bill grinned.
"P-Play thing?" I stuttered, falling back onto my bed.
Bill swung the chain around me tightly, and pulled me into his chest. Every time I squirmed the chains tightened around my rib cage, squeezing the air from my lungs.
"What do you say we get started?" Bill chuckled into my ear.
Oh no.
Mabel's PO
"Thanks for your help Mabel," Stan said, as I brought the last dish to the sink.
"I think you'd better check on your brother," he whispered quiet enough that Grunkle Ford wouldn't hear.
I nodded and ran upstairs to find Dipper.
"Dipper?" I called before I reached the door.
I swore I could hear two voices talking. But who could Dipper have over? Pacifica? Pfft no...
"Dipper?" I called again, this time opening the door.
The room was empty. Dipper was nowhere to be seen and the only thing in his place was his pine tree cap.
