40 Moon's Storm Clouds
POV Elsa
"They are beating the barrier," Merida said while standing at the balcony. She was aiming her arrow to the distance as she said that it would give her a better view point.
"We need to get the bullets out," Hiro explained as he began cutting through Jack's shirt.
Jack's gritted his teeth together, grasping onto Hiro's wrist. "Don't fucking do that," he said angrily.
"He is trying to help you," I whispered with my voice shivering. Jack's face was so pale, his eyes had dark pink marks around them as he was bleeding to death slowly by his wounds.
"Only Sandy can get that sand out, the sand would just infect you if you try," he gasped and started to push himself to sit after letting Hiro go.
"Sorry to interrupt but I think that the barrier won't hold for long," Merida raised her voice.
"We should fight," Jack said as getting up. The blood that was gushing out from his mouth was making his breathing to sound bubbly.
"You need to rest," I raised my voice.
"I need to fight, for you," he smiled faintly and I see him freezing his wounds to calm down the bleeding.
"Don't be crazy, you are hurt," I noticed myself laughing but not because it was fun, it was simply just too stupid idea from him.
"When the sand is out my body can start healing," he whispered and touched my shoulder. The arm which was hurt in him was hanging against his side.
"Then we just beat every enemy and get Sandy to help you, right?" I smiled as I touched his face. He nodded his head and when he was about to lose his balance I let his body take support from me.
Slowly he leaned forward and I felt his breathing against my skin. "You are the one holding my heart... and my life is yours, no one else can take them than you," he whispered.
"Get your ass to work with the defense system Hamada," Jack growled to startled Hiro who nodded his head and rushed to grab his laptop.
"Keep yourself alive Captain Frost," I told him when I touched his chest. The feeling of his heart beating underneath my fingers felt good and made me smile.
"Same goes to you lady, go and show that you can handle yourself woman," he grinned as he took a step back.
His dog, Staff slowly paced after him and when its head went underneath Jack's hand I saw him scratching the behind of the dogs ear.
"I see him going downstairs where Astrid is," Hiro mumbled from behind his laptop. He had eyes everywhere around my kingdom so we would know what's going on.
"Good, are you ready Merida?" I asked from her as I joined with her in the balcony.
"As ready as ever," Merida chuckled and tensed up the string on her bow. We would keep things safe by giving support from up.
A loud sound of cracking split the air and made me look up. One of the beatings that the barrier was given by the dark masses of the enemy had managed to damage it. The sound of reminded me of how an ice mountain splits in two with explosion somewhere in the Antarctica when the weather gets too hot for them to hold together.
Now the crack was up high, directly above the castle and continuing down to other side. The barrier was now fatally weak and then we knew how weak when the masses of black sand hit against it again.
"Good luck Elsa," Anna whispered through the microphone. She was also downstairs. I would protect her, Astrid and Jack while they fought their battle down at the castle yard. This is our final battle place, that we need to hold until the rest of the Captains arrive to help us.
"You too Anna. Me and Merida are watching over you," I whispered.
"They are coming," Merida whistled as she crouched down on the railing of the balcony. Her fingers were reaching at her explosive arrows that Hiccup had created for her.
"Sending bots around the barrier," Hiro mumbled and I saw how his robots rush through the city.
One of them could breathe fire, one created amazing combinations of chemistry weapons for its use, one could use laser cutters and one was extremely fast. He always said that he got the idea of making them from his friends.
"Nice Hiro!" Merida cheered on the exact moment when the barrier started crumbling down.
Tons of ice started dropping down, I glance down at Anna, Astrid and Jack who are out in the open. I lift my hand up and I see how Jack does the same. His ice powers began to crush the blocks of ice into smaller ones while I'm trying my best to thaw them. Soon there's glittering ice dust floating all around the kingdom. It would be magical and breathtaking sight to look at unless the very presence of the enemy wouldn't be so pressuring.
"They are coming all around!" Hiro shouted. His robots were keeping most of the masses away but some managed to get through. The sands were like a wave that was washing over the streets and straight towards the castle.
Merida aimed her bow and then she shot an arrow. It hit on the first demon like sand creature that managed to get through palace gates.
"Stop dreaming Elsa and come to help," Merida snapped as she shot an arrow after arrow which exploded when they hit on their target. They turned into golden sand as her arrows had the special substance that Captain Sandman had created. But our ammo was running short on each hit.
I kept on freezing the black sand as it came out. Then either Anna or Astrid could take them out. However I was worried about Jack, his strength wasn't as great as it usually was. He kept on freezing the enemy that came too close at him while he was shooting with his rifle. He kept on one knee on the ground while doing it, sometimes turning his body to check his back. I could see that he was tired.
"I think that we can win this!" Anna cheered and waved her hand to me and Merida.
"Shit," Hiro whispered and run to me with his laptop.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
"YEAH! We forgot to keep our eyes up!" He panicked and kept on tapping his finger at the laptop screen.
I narrow my eyes. There's a large black mass floating above us when Hiro rotated the screen couple times. I look at him with worry and suddenly our dogs began growling. Marshmallow stood up at the door where he had been laying until now. Hiro's dog, Baymax, went next to my dog. Merida's dog, Angus, went to his master and began staring at the sky.
"No," I whispered as I ran back at the balcony. The dogs were barging while staring at the dark corridor at the castle.
"THE SKY!" I screamed and then I got the attention of Astrid, Anna and Jack. Merida turned her arrow to point at the sky.
Pitch Black was riding on a large bat like sand figure with deep red eyes. He began laughing when he waved his hand and millions of smaller black sand bats started to fly down at us. My eyes met with Jacks when I glance down, his expression was like begging for me to be safe.
Jack whistled loudly and Staff with Astrid's dog rushed next to him.
"Elsa! Do something!" Merida shouted when the squeaking bats approached us.
I barely saw how Jack got Astrid and Anna next to him before creating a small sphere around them from ice. I did the same just moment before an army of bats smashed against the ice barrier I created on the balcony. Now it was really dark. The claws of the bats were scratching against the ice as they swarmed all around.
Merida and I backed up back inside the castle and we closed the doors.
"There's too many of them," Merida gasped while staring at the pack.
Then we heard the similar squeaking coming from inside the castle. The dogs were going crazy.
"Crap they got in!" Hiro yelled as he ran to shut the door leading to corridor.
One bat got in and it began circling around the bedroom. It tried to attack us, to bite us with its sharp black teeth. I kept on trying to hit on it but it was fast and small enough to dodge my powers.
"Got it!" I shouted when it nearly landed on Hiro who tried to run from it.
The bat fell on the floor and shattered into tiny ice crystals after being hit with my frost.
"Phew, thanks," Hiro said and tried to catch his breath.
"No problem," I sighed in relief. We could hear the wings of the bats flapping behind the door right now.
"Are you safe?" Annas voice reached us through the radio.
"Yes! And you?" I asked.
"We are good but... he is really getting weak," Anna whispered. "The larger black sand monsters are beating our ice shield and he has to redo it constantly. If it breaks the bats get in and... well... he can't keep it up for long," Anna gulped.
"Can you see where Hiccup, Shawn and other Captain's are? They should be with us soon... right?" Merida insisted from Hiro.
"Well.. I don't know," Hiro whispered.
"And we could use your help Eugene!" Merida growled at him.
Eugene had been in shock this entire time, on his knees at the ground and staring at Rapunzel or the robot that she turned out to be.
"Did you help Punzie? I guess not," Eugene whispered blankly and made Merida groan.
"Geez you're useless!" Merida screamed.
"We all need to calm down," I spoke but I got an angry glare from Merida.
POV Colonel Moon
She is washing dishes at North's kitchen. I could see some similarities, the way on how she is almost wiping the plates so harshly that they would have a hole in them. This is how she reacted whenever Shawn had fallen down from a tree or when Emma had her first camping trip or when Jack joined the military. Worry was clearly showing out from her, from my Sarah.
"Sweetheart," I called out to her and she turned around quickly. Her eyes were swollen from crying and the plate slipped out from her grasp. It fell on the floor and shattered.
"James... Are our boys okay?" She whispered as her lower lip was shaking.
"I'm sure they are," I smiled as I went over to embrace her.
"I can't take this... W-what if something happens?" She sobbed.
"Anything could happen but our boys are strong," I mumbled against her hair. She smelled like fresh baked cookies and I saw the tray with chocolate chip cookies on kitchen counter. She bakes when she's nervous.
"Something has happened. One is hurt, I'm sure," she cried and squeezed my chest.
"I heard that Jack was hurt," I mumbled and she squeaked like her chest would burst out from the worry in any moment. She had always had the ability hunch if something was wrong with her children.
"But I'm sure that he will do great... he is great like you and he has someone who he wants to protect. He won't quit easily," I said reassuringly when I lifted her chin up.
Her eyes were watering when she nodded her head.
"And now you are leaving me behind too?" She exhaled like she had been holding that thought inside her for a while. I nodded my response before kissing her soft lips.
"There's something I need to do. This is something that I can't endanger the younger ones with," I smiled faintly as I stroked her cheek gently.
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, "You'll be back?"
"I'm doing my best to come back," I spoke softly. However I couldn't swear that to her because what I'm about to do is going to be risky and dangerous. It would be wrong to send someone else there than myself and it is a one man job.
"I guess that's enough," she smiled and patted my chest. "You'll be in trouble mister unless you won't be back," she chuckled and made me laugh.
"Bye," I said when I pressed my forehead against hers.
"See you," she said.
I left her at the kitchen and I heard how she continued washing the dishes again. The dishes were clicking against the sink. She never said anything else than 'See you' when I left her because she thinks that saying something like that makes sure that I will be back and she can see me again. She has done that since the first time we started dating. And I'm happy that she does so.
Mushu had told me where to go. Just hours ago most of the enemy forces had left Pride Rock but some remained as if something was being guarded in that abandoned building. There might be a solution on how to undo the problems with their device that is stealing the light.
The breeze was chilling outside North's secret hideout place. I look around me, the warm light which comes out from the windows just reminds me of Sarah. The cold doesn't bother me though.
I call to wind and soon I feel it lifting me up. Before my boys were born I thought of this as a curse, something that runs in the family. However Jack almost sacrificed himself in order to protect his brother before they were even born. Unlike me who ended up being the reason for his own twin brother to die before birth.
Now I need to do this, to fix things and make sure that my family is done with the suffering. Losing a daughter was already too much but if I lose either of my sons, that would be crushing my heart as well.
The sky is dark because Pitch's device has taken the light away. Even stars have disappeared and there's no light of moon. Darkness is overwhelming and a depressing sight. But there's no demanding the fact of how the dark covers my path as I fly across the air and then land right in front of the building at Pride Rock.
I feel amused by the small sources of candle lights which come through the windows of the otherwise gloomy place.
When I went in the first shadow like creature attacked from my right. I quickly froze it and it fell as a block of ice on the floor. Mushu said that the high tower was something that he suspected to have something secured in it.
As I go through the building, room by room and freezing the pathetic enemies made of sand there's nothing.
There was this weird humming sound when I was walking the steps up to an attic which reminded me of a tower. Mushu was right, there's something strange in here.
Slowly I narrowed the single door which was in the end of the staircase. It creaked open and the smell of dust filled my nose. Some light was glowing from the inside. I kept myself ready as I went in, first I glance to my left and then to my right.
"Agh!" I gasped when I froze a figure. It was standing right next to me and grinning creepily.
When my eyes adjusted I could see that it reminded me of soldier Corona, Rapunzel. But even though it reminded of her it was different, this one had no hair. It was like shining metal, a base for something horrid.
There were more of them hanging from the ceiling like puppets. Some were looking more ready than others. "So you were never real," I mumbled as I kept going forward in the room, towards the source of the glowing light.
There was a large tube ahead. It was from floor to ceiling, around it were wires that were coming out from pc units and attaching at the tube. My eyes were nailed on the naked girl that was floating in some sort of glowing green liquid inside the tube.
"Rapunzel?" I gulped as I went over to the tube.
It was like she was sleeping.
The tube was humming, there were small hoses going into Corona's skin, transferring blood and probably meant to keep her alive.
"How did they dare," I whispered angrily before I slammed my hand against the glass. It made the tube shatter and I caught Corona as she was about to drop. The green fluid was sticky and gushing on the floor when I pulled the hoses off from Rapunzel.
She began coughing for my relief, at least she was still alive.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through this," I mumbled close to her ear.
I didn't find the device that was stealing the light but I found one soldier. For now this shall be enough, she needs to be taken to shelter.
"Are you trying to steal my experiment?" Someone said behind me and I turn around while holding Corona.
"She's not your experiment," I snapped at the tall wide shouldered man who was chubby. He had rat like features on his face. "Who are you!" I roared.
"Ratigan. And I need her to finish my experiment," he grinned as he pointed to my left. Behind the wires that hang from the ceiling was another tube.
I wave my hand while other hand holds Corona tightly and the wires move aside. M eyes widen from shock.
There was another her but something was wrong. Thin, transparent layer of skin was covering the creatures muscles. I could see its veins. But the thing that made me gasp from disqust was the fact on how the skin wasn't covering the face muscles at all. I stared at the flesh.
"What the hell are you doing in here!" I shouted.
"Let's say... copies of humans. Just imagine, we could bring your daughter back," he laughed and seemed victorious. Like I would let him go by saying that.
"Well what do you say? Let me continue my work so we have the perfect puppet army of copies and robots or die yourself?" He grinned and reached to his pocket.
"You are crazy!" I yelled and he frowned. Quickly he pulled out a gun but I was faster.
I froze his hand which was holding the gun. He screamed and tried to beat the ice off but instead his frozen arm snapped and dropped to the ground. I felt so angry that I froze his body entirely and when I passed him I kicked his unworthy body into pieces of ice that began melting on the floor.
When we got out I called out to Shawn who confirmed that Captain's were freed but they are outnumbered. I told them to hold on.
This is time for me to join their battle as soon as I have taken Corona to safety at North's hideout. Sarah will take care of her.
I called out to the wind and my body rose up. Before leaving I let my anger transform into icy storm at the sky. Pitch Black can't do human tests anymore with the help of his troops. This is the end of that era.
A freezing lightning struck into the building and destroyed it. I watch the crumbling house. Their experiments are now gladly gone.
Now there's only one thing left to do before not giving a crap of my status to be the quiet brains in every operation and to finally join the battle. First I need to get her treated and with thought in my head I flew back to North's place before heading off to Arendelle with the forces of stormy winds.
A/N:

Anyway I hope you guys can wait for one month for an update. I'm taking some time off from Wattpad because my baby will be here soon. I need some rest and then time to be with her. Then I think that I can give you a new update once a week (writing in between house chores and taking care of her).
My other works will be now on hold until Private and the Captain is finished which will be in less than 5 chapters away. After that I'm doing Silenced Memory.
