Why was Jimin looking at him like that?
Since he had put the suit on and showed the older male, the way he looked at him had a slight difference to it. It was slightly darker, clouded by something every time Jimin looked at him. He was sneaking glances when he thought Jungkook wasn't looking too, making the younger male squirm under his gaze.
Jimin had bought Jungkook's suit as well as one for himself with a white dress shirt instead. Jungkook couldn't help but notice how much more mature Jimin looked when his casual clothes were swapped for more high end ones. It made him seem so much more distinguished, and maybe that was the reason Jungkook found himself shrinking slightly under Jimin's gaze now.
The older male was right, dressing the part definitely made a difference.
"Are you ready for the important part?" It seemed like it had been forever since he and Jimin had last spoken words, mostly just sneaking glances at each other since he had tried the suit on. Jimin seemed to have composed himself now though, leaning against the side of Yoongi's car.
Yoongi had disappeared for a moment, hopping out of the driver's seat the grab a drink from a nearby store while he waited for Jungkook and Jimin.
"I think so." Jungkook answered honestly, fidgeting with the cuffs of his suit jacket. "I know how to lie, it's just a bit nerve wracking, you know?"
Jimin nodded, crossing his arms over his chest and meeting Jungkook's gaze.
"It's still scary for me too." He admitted, watching as Jungkook's eyes widened at his words. "No matter how many times you do it, the fear will never go away - it just gets hidden by confidence." His silver hair whipped in the wind as a gust of wind blew past, and he paused to let Jungkook take in his words. "I'll do most of the talking, you just have to follow my leads and become familiar with the cameras. It'll be alright."
It was interesting, how Jimin's words could make him feel more relaxed. Jungkook wanted to just account it to the older male having more experience than him, but he knew it was more than that. He felt comforted. Jimin used to look at him with emotionless eyes, dragging through each of their encounters like it was a chore. But now, why was his gaze so warm? His eyes told Jungkook that he understood, and that he would be there.
Jungkook could couldn't help but wonder when he became someone to Jimin.
He watched as the older male undid the silver watch that he often wore on his wrist, before reaching out to hand it to Jungkook. "Take it. I'll look nice with your outfit."
Jungkook was shocked, hesitant as he reached out to take the piece of jewelry out of Jimin's hand.
"To keep?" He asked, admiring the intricacies of the watch and observing how it glinted in the sparse sunlight.
"If you like it." Jimin smiled softly, watching Jungkook adjust the watch to fit his wrist before observing how it looked on him. Jungkook really did look stunning when he was all dressed up like this, Jimin hoped he knew that.
"Thank you." Jungkook smiled bashfully, adjusting his suit jacket once more. The clouds in the sky shifted, making room for the sunlight to illuminate the younger boy - golden rays casting harsh shadows against the high points of his face. His jewelry sparkled, and his eyes looked like pools of honey in the sun.
Jimin merely nodded, and looked away before breathing out a deep breath. He didn't know what switch had flipped in his brain that day, but he just wanted to admire Jungkook for hours. It had been so long since he had looked at somebody this way, and it was hitting him like a truck.
Jimin wished he could point to one specific thing that did it, and he would probably say it was the suit, but the truth was that it was everything. He felt like he hadn't seen Jungkook properly before this, struggling to come to terms with the fact that maybe he found the male standing in front of him attractive.
It would be a lie to say he wasn't.
It was his perfectly tousled chestnut brown hair, his lip piercing breaking through the softness of his facial features, wide brown eyes that pulled Jimin in every time he took the bait. It was how the fitted black material of his suit accentuated his sculpted frame and slim waist. It was even his soft voice, his confidence, and his determination.
Everything about him Jimin realized that he really liked, and it was all crashing down on him at once.

"I'm looking for an anniversary gift for my boyfriend here."
Jimin was all welcoming gazes and sweet words the moment he and Jungkook had stepped through the doors of the jewelry store - turning his charm up to one hundred percent to win over the saleswoman that had greeted them both.
Jungkook knew that Jimin was going to make up a story that vouched for their innocence, but for some reason he never imagined that the older male would have picked an excuse such as this one. He felt his whole face flush red at Jimin's words, heart thudding in his chest as Jimin grabbed onto his jacket sleeve lightly to accentuate their supposed relationship. The area on his arm that Jimin was touching buzzed, his body shocked by the contact.
The saleswoman smiled softly and nodded. Her gaze flitted between Jungkook's blushing face and Jimin's hand, before gesturing for the two of them to come closer to the glass case in front of them.
"What were you looking for exactly?" She asked, and it was a good question because there were so many options. Rings in gold and silver with various sized gems on them, diamond studded tennis chains and earrings to match. Jungkook tried his best not to look shocked at the selection in front of him, but he had never felt more out of place than he did then, and so it was becoming increasingly hard not to.
Jimin's hand on his arm though, brought him back down to earth. It reminded him that he wasn't there alone, he had someone to back him up.
"What were you thinking, Jungkook?" Jimin asked, lookin to the younger male before crouching down to take a better look at the jewelry within the case. He waited until he noticed the saleswoman's gaze switch to Jungkook, before he turned his attention to the lock in front of him instead.
The case had a classic display case lock, which Jimin was relieved to see as he already had designated picks specifically for locks like this at home. The fact that it locked on the customer's side was also extremely convenient, as it allowed him to study the lock without having to do anything too suspicious.
The case was divided into sections, with a locked door keeping each one secure. Every single case in the store seemed to follow this same method. It was a lot of locks to pick, but a lot of simple locks to pick, and so Jimin didn't find himself worried in the slightest. He brought his gaze back up to Jungkook, who was observing some of the necklaces they had up for display.
Jungkook slowly reached out, pointing to a silver necklace with a pendant.
"That one is really nice." He spoke, looking up to meet the saleswoman's gaze. Eye contact was key to seeming confident, Jimin had told him. "Sterling silver?" She nodded, taking her store keys out of her pocket and walking around the case to meet Jimin and Jungkook on the side they stood on.
"It's a sterling silver rope chain and pendant, with a half carat star cut diamond embedded in it." She spoke, reaching into the case to grab the necklace that Jungkook was asking for. Jungkook took this small chance to take a quick look around the store's ceiling for cameras.
It was a fairly small shop, and so spotting the cameras was actually easy. There was one camera in each corner of the room, indicating that their range was probably quite small. Jungkook also picked up on a camera situated right above the doorway of a hallway to the left of them.
What could be so important down that hall, that it needed to be filmed at all times? The surveillance room and store safe, probably.
Feeling satisfied with the information that he had gathered, he looked back to the saleswoman again just in time for her to turn around and hold the necklace out in front of him. It really was a pretty piece of jewelry - a thin silver rope chain with a snake shaped pendant hanging from it. The diamond that the woman had mentioned was in the centre, the snake pendant curling around it.
"Would you like to try it on?" The saleswoman asked, looking to meet Jungkook's eyes. Jimin immediately nodded and nudged Jungkook's side softly.
"Try it. I'm sure you'll love it." Jimin spoke, reaching around to rest his arm around Jungkook's waist. He couldn't help but notice how slim the younger male was, having to restrain his fingers from wanting to grip him just a little bit tighter. It was an act, a facade they were putting on to retain innocence, but it seemed that now he was dancing on a fine line between what was real and what wasn't.
Jungkook squirmed under his touch subtly, skin tingling on all of the places that Jimin's hand was touching. They were just tiny little brushes of contact, barely there hands just hardly resting on his waist. So then why did it feel like so much? Jimin was hardly even doing anything, just holding up his end of the act so that the saleswoman wouldn't get suspicious
It seemed though, that Jimin doing barely anything, was enough to have Jungkook turning pink.
The saleswoman unclasped the necklace, and Jimin stepped to the side to allow he to secure it around Jungkook's neck. The younger boy was both relieved and disappointed when Jimin's touch left him.
The silver necklace matched the watch Jimin had given him, and it stood out beautifully against the dark material of his suit. The best part, was that none of this even looked out of place for Jungkook to be wearing. The suit seemed as if it was made for him, and the jewelry added to it just made him look all the more distinguished.
Jimin felt his breath stop short, mouth dry as Jungkook looked up from the necklace to meet his gaze
And for the second time that day, Jungkook had left him speechless.
