Chapter Three: First Fight

The newly appointed rangers landing in Los Angeles on the hard way and appearing in the chaos. Each ranger groaned, landing on top of the other, not the way they thought of traveling. The rangers untangled themselves and got to their feet. Strange creatures were attacking innocent civilians and explosions happened in or around the center of the town. Creatures with large black wings and feathers with misshapen facial features.

"Next time they do, they should give us a warning!" Sam exclaimed. The winged creatures pulled out bronze swords and did not attack like they were observing them.

"What the hell are those things?" Sean asked in shock and disgust at the monsters.

"I don't know, but whatever they are, we have to stop them and save these people!" Mark yelled. The winged creatures attacked first, flying toward the rangers. They immediately separated, trying to spread the monsters around so not all of them were piling up on them. Three winged creatures ran at Mark, who avoided any sort of attack that the monsters would throw at him. Using a roundhouse kick, Mark knocked a winged creature against a wall and two more came barreling toward him. He grabbed one and tossed it against the monster's friend.

Sean had fought no one in his life, let alone monsters that weren't even from his world, already sweating. He avoided any attack that could send him to the ground. Sean bounced back up with ease. The monsters attacked him again and sent him stumbling back. Recovering quickly, he grabbed a soldier and tossed it against his friends. One tried to attack him from behind. In defense, he grabbed the soldier by the arm and twisted it and punched it in the face.

Despite Sean and Mark having an easier time, at least they knew what to do. Sam had little luck. No matter where he went, the monsters overwhelmed him. He fought off four of the winged creatures, knocking them down. Of course, they shoved him against the cars, but the joke was on them, in which case Sam used the car to his advantage and used the car door to shield himself. Sam blocked the monsters, attacked and knocked even more down.

Tara and Katrina were nervous. The enemy was coming at them in full force. For one person, it was a lot to take in, but for two, it gave them the upper hand to double team their enemy. Tara and Katrina locked arms and used their own bodies to defeat the foot soldiers. The more that they fought, the more soldiers kept coming. Katrina was getting overwhelmed, and she didn't know what more to do. The more they threw the enemies on the ground, the more they kept coming. One by one they tossed the rangers to the ground, exhausted.

"They keep coming!" Katrina yelled. "We can't defeat them!" Out of breath, Katrina watched as the enemies started surrounding them.

"We can do this!" Mark responded. A loud yell interrupted their battle when a man with demonic yellow eyes and an old staff appeared before them.

"Who dares challenge Lucifer!" exclaimed the hideous creature. The rangers stood side by side, their rings held up.

"Ready guys?!" Mark yelled.

"Ready!" everyone yelled together. "Lightning Strike, Ranger up!" they turned their rings and held out their fists toward the sky. Multiple colors of lightning struck the rings and their bodies. Suits with lightning bolt and different colors surrounded each of them. Reaching up, they grabbed their helmets and placed them on their heads, posing once they completed the sequence. The yellow-eyed demon covered his eyes and lowered his hand.

"What?!" Azazel yelled. "Power Rangers?!"

"Lightning Strike, Red Ranger!" Mark yelled.

"Lightning Strike, Green Ranger!" Sean exclaimed.

"Lightning Strike, Black Ranger!" Sam screamed.

"Lightning Strike, Silver Ranger!" Katrina joined.

"Lightning Strike, Pink ranger!" Tara completed.

"Power Rangers, Lightning Strikes!" the team exclaimed. Lightning appeared around them. Azazel rolled his eyes at their silly poses.

"Big deal," he said. "Dark angels! Attack!" on command, the dark angels attacked the rangers; now with renewed strength, the rangers launched a defensive attack, knocking each of the enemies down with lightning-fast reflexes. Each ranger got surrounded by the enemy, but now that they were much stronger, they summoned their weapons.

"Thunder Mace!" Mark exclaimed and summoned his weapon, which appeared in front of him. He grabbed it and fought the dark angels. "You never give up, do you?!" Mark asked as he started fighting against the enemies, striking lightning into the dark angels causing them to get electrocuted and explode.

It amazed Sean at what Mark could do with his weapon. Using his own powers, he summoned his own weapon, which appeared in front of him. "Blitz Daggers!" the daggers shaped as lightning bolts appeared in his hands as he fought the dark angels. "How do you like me now?!" he yelled at the same time the dark angels attacked Sean. He'd strike them down and crossed his daggers together to destroy the dark angels.

"You think you can take me on? You have one thing coming!" Sam yelled. "Lightning Sword!" Sam grabbed his sword mid-air and hacked at the dark angels, destroying them one by one.

"Hey Tara," Kat said. "Let's double team them!" Tara agreed and summoned her spear. Pink flames erupted from the tip as she struck the enemy in the stomach and lifted it up into the air. She tossed it toward her friend, where Katrina summoned her silver bow. Working together, the rangers destroyed the rest of the soldiers, forcing Azazel to disappear and reappear on the scaffolding. The Rangers turned their attention to him, readying themselves for an attack.

"This isn't over rangers!" Azazel exclaimed. "Lucifer will return!" Azazel vanished into black smoke, most likely heading back to the underworld.

"And we'll be ready!" Mark said.
