Chapter 18 (Pt. 4)

When we were left alone with just the locals partying at the house, I pulled Ares with me to explore the beach.

“This place is so beautiful, Ares.” I commented on the beautiful location. It was indeed, a very beautiful place, especially, at night.

“Thanks for inviting me.” A boyish smile tipped at the corner of his mouth.

I have only being alone with Ares for a handful of times. Most of the time, we were surrounded by people or someone interrupts our moments together.

I felt a little nervous around him, and after our little makeout session on the counter, I could probably imagine what was going on in his head.

“I know this whole thing’s a little crazy,” he whispered. He then paused for a second and smiled.

“A little crazy?”

“Well, more than a little, but I just wanted you to know that I am very happy to have you on my side.” He chuckled, a bit. “I kind of freaked out about playing truth or dare tonight.”

I bit my lip as I held steady eye contact with him. “Why?” I spoke in a soft tone.

“From the way questions were being thrown and dares were given, I may have not acted rational if you would have been the one to give Jordan a lap dance.” His face hardened as his gaze became more intent. “Or was asked to describe the feeling of being fingered by someone.”

The sharpness of his voice hit directly between my legs. I wanted to say something, but his blazing green eyes dared me not to.

“You know, the first time we met, or should I say when he fell into the pool,” he continued with his intense gaze. “I couldn't stop thinking about you the entire night. I had memorised every detail of your eyes, your mouth.” He brushed my lips with his thumb. “Your beautiful face, the way your drenched hair clung to the back of your neck.” He caressed my head, and captured my neck in his hold. “You had your legs wrapped around my waist. I won't lie, it was bold of you to do it. It was the first time I had felt your perfect ass in my hands.” His hand then slowly slipped to cup my ass, not before feeling every curve of my body.

I gasped when he squeezed my ass. It was still a very new and tingly sensation to my body. Something, I don't experience on a daily basis and the way hands worked up by body told me, he knew exactly what to do to me.

I felt a twinge of jealousy in me, when I imagined him repeating the same actions on another girl. I pushed him away from me, and he let me go.

I had tuned out the loud reggaeton music blaring through the speakers and the people around me dancing, laughing, making out in the house and on the beach.

“Let's go someplace quiet. It's too loud here,” I said and with that I walked away from the party to the serene ocean side.

I hadn't turned around to check if Ares was following me, I had assumed he would, and he did.

“Do you want me to kick everyone out?”

“No.”

I didn't want him to stop the party. That's a lie. I did want him to stop the music and kick everyone in the house so that we could be alone, but I had this feeling that his friends didn't like me and if they found out, he stopped a party for me then…… they would like me even less.

“Are you sure?” His tone was serious, and I wondered whether he'll actually go through with it.

“Yep.” Never mind. I didn't want to find out.

We walked in silence for awhile, until we slipped away from the noise of the music.

“Ohhh.” I stretched my muscles. “I feel so relentlessly tired.”

Ares looked oddly at me. “What the hell are you doing?”

“What?” I pouted. “A girl can stretch her body?”

Still, with that odd expression on his face, he said,”Oh, they can, but in a sexy way, not like a freak.”

“Hey.” I slapped his arm. “That's mean.”

“Whatevs.” He combed through his perfect hair. I did not speak to him for the most portion of our strolling. He made a few efforts, but I was too mad to reply.

“Ouch.” I winced, when I felt a tiny sting on my feet. “Stupid, seashells. I can't even see them in the dark.” I grabbed on Ares' arm for support.

He bent down on one knee, while I rested all my weight on his shoulders. “Ow,” I cried out in pain. “It hurts.”

“Hold still.” He scolded. “It's nothing, just a sharp edge.”

“Remove it, then,” I ordered. “Or are you waiting for bloody Christmas.”

“Who told you walk on a fucking beach barefooted?”

“Oh, sorry. It was my mistake. A butterfly was supposed to whisper something like this would happen in my ear and then, maybe I would've wore slippers.”

“Haha.” He carefully removed the sharp piece from my foot. “Next time, don't step on things.”

“Yeah, I don't have a habit of walking with a flashlight at night.”

“Why need a flashlight?” He stood from the ground. I still supported myself on his shoulders. “Aren't your bright-ass-hair enough to give out some light?”

“Well.” I wanted to have a comeback for it, but didn't. “You’re so tall, how's the weather up there?” I mustered up the only tall joke I knew, and even I thought it was laughable.

“Trash talk isn't your thing.” He helped me walk to the tree and I managed to hop a little. Seeing how much I was struggling, the bastard just smirked arrogantly and did nothing more to help me more.

“My thing is to kick your ass, but I'm kind of helpless at the moment.” I settled down, resting my back at the tree.

“Yeah, you do that later.” He sat down besides me. “Or maybe kiss it.”

I gasped, not believing my ears. “What?!”

He chuckled. “I was just kidding.” He later added in a whisper. “Or not.”

I narrowed my eyes at him, a little hint of smile at the corner of my lips.

We just sat there in peace. Watching the vast ocean and the beautiful black sky. There were a few stars twinkling in the night sky, a particular one blinking the brightest. I smiled knowingly at the brightest star.

“What are you smiling about?” Ares asked in a soft tone. “Are you being weird again?”

“Nope.” I swung my eyes to meet his and smiled sweetly at him.

His eyes softened. Our foreheads dipped together, our nose slightly brushing. “You have the softest lips I've ever kissed.” His hand raked my to my neck. “I can't get enough of them.” He sealed his lips with mine, taking me in for a gentle kiss.

“Seriously, what were you smiling about?”

I laughed. “Curious much?” He made an adorable face when I didn't answer his question. I had to give up. “You see that star?”

“Which? There are plenty.”

“The one shines the brightest.” He nodded. “That's my mom.”

“Your mom?” He asked, confused.

I nodded. “It’s my mom.”

“What do you me-.” He stopped in mid-sentence, understanding the meaning behind my words. “Luna, sweets, I'm so sorry.”

“Don’t be.” I struggled hard to keep a smile on my face. “She's happy wherever she is.”

“Why the star?”

“Hmm?”

He moved away from the tree and sat crossed legs. “Why do you see her in a star and why not in the clouds or the water or a rainbow.”

“Because…” I didn't know how to properly explain this to him. “My mother and I always stargazed together. My father died when I was two and it really tore my mother apart, but for me she held onto her sanity and remained strong.” I tucked my hair behind my ears. “She once told me, she had met my father in a planetarium, watching and learning about the stars. She felt him closest at night when she looked up at sky and saw a star shining brighter than the rest.” I paused. “She thought it was a way of my father telling her that he's there with us and it's the same way I feel, when look up at the sky and see a particular star just, you know, sparkling, and it's a way of my mother telling me that she's here,” I continued.

“What was her name?” Ares asked. “Your mother.”

“Lake,” I whispered.

He did something crazy, really crazy. “Mrs. Lake West,” he stood up and shouted in the dead of night, looking at the sky. “Hi, I'm Ares Torrance.” He waved.

“Ares-” I stood on my shaky legs and followed behind him. “Are you cra-,” I said incredulously, but he was too loud.

“Yeah, that's me. I wanted to ask for your permission to date your daughter. You see, she's crazy about me and can't get enough of me, so just to ease up your daughter’ hormones, I want your permission to date her. I might kiss, snap at her, boss her and do some unholy things to her, but one thing I won't do is make her cry or hurt her, okay so two things.”

I couldn’t believe this crazy boy. And, he called me a freak. Unbelievable.

“So, do we have your permission?” He pretended as if someone was replying to his antics and nodded his head. “Alright, I'll let her know.”

He turned around to face me. “Before I tell you hers, what's your answer?”

I blushed, not able to comprehend this boy. “Whatever hers is.”

“So, no?” He feigned hurt. “Just kidding it's a yes.”

I laughed at him and he matched my laughter. He outright made himself a bigger freak. “Who's a freak now?” I limped towards him.

“Still you, sweetie.” I giggled and he took me in his arms to kiss me fiercely.

We hit the house back after spending our time together, not doing anything except talking.

Just talking. Pure listening and talking.

We talked about a whole new bunch of things; listing our favourites, gossiping about school, exchanging childhood stories, and we even made plans to watch Endgame together. It was so unreal to share my heart out to Ares. It didn't make me feel vulnerable, no, it did not. It made me feel close to him; like I really knew him better.

I still had a tiny bit of ache in my foot, but I still managed to walk to the house, thanks to Ares who managed most of weight on him.

“How long have you known your friends?” I asked him. “They seem very…..” I searched for words, but failed, unable to describe his friends.

“Up for anything,” he offered and I nodded, chuckling.

“Yeah, somewhat.”

“Mmm, but I wouldn't call them my friends. No, they're just some people who are always on the list when there's a party anywhere and I like their company, not much though,” he chuckled, taking an extra few seconds to stare into my eyes. Drawing in a deep breath, he tossed his hand through my hair. “I know you don't like them, and if it makes you feel uncomfortable, I will not make you hang around them.”

“No, no, no,” I said, too quickly. “I don't have any problem with them, they're just far too wild for my taste.”

We halted, and pulled be closer resting his hand on my lower back. “They're not wild, baby. They're far from being wild.”

“Yes, you're right. They are just some teens in their rebelling stage.”

“Little do they know, the wildest among anyone is still in her shell.”

I arched an eyebrow at him. “Oh, really?”

“Yep, she just needs to find her way out of her tiny shell and once she does, they'll be no stopping her.”

I laughed, dropping my head back. “You’re so crazy.”

“Am I?” Our faces were so close to each other, it was just matter of seconds when one of us would lean further in and lock our lips, but just in time drunken holler broke our moment.

I distanced myself from him and saw few of the guys who were supposedly, Ares’s friends were trashed out on the sand.

“Hey!” One of them exclaimed. “It's barbie ballerina and her lover.” I immediately recognized voice. It was one of the vile boys who gave unspeakable dares to girls.

“God, her tits looks edible.” I flushed at his comment and sheltered my body behind Ares, away from his view. “Ares, you lucky bastard. I want to tap her pussy next.”

Like lightning speed, Ares charged towards him and knocked his face down, kicking him in the stomach.

“Asshole,” he groaned. “You’re fighting me for her?”

Ares pulled him up from his collar and got into his face. “Talk about her again and you'll find your ass thrown in the ocean.” The guy coughed once the other guys managed to pull Ares away from doing some serious damage.

I stood there still, baffled by what happened in front of my eyes. Ares took one glanced at me and his features softened. “Go back to the villa and straight up to your room, we'll talk tomorrow.” He pressed a kiss on the tip of my nose and walked away from me back to the guys.

As I walked past them, I couldn't miss the loathing and possible retaliation written on the face of the guy who got his ass beaten down by my boyfriend.

Once back inside the house, I quickly climbed the stairs and headed for my room. In the opposite wing of the villa, some incoherent voices buzzed through the hallway, and curiosity got the best of me, I followed the voices and stopped in front of the door where the voices became louder.

“Please leave.” It was an accented voice and immediately knew it belonged to the one of female who worked here.

“Sir,” the girl yelped. “My hair.” I tensed when it became clearer to me on what was going on behind the door.

Shit! I had to stop from things getting nastier for the girl. She was getting raped.

I flung the door open, to find a very disturbing view in front of my eyes. The girl was Julio’ older daughter, the one who carried Ash back inside the villa. And, on top- No, the person who was pushing into her ass and tightly fisted her hair in his palm was Axel Fucking Trent.

Both of them noticed me standing on the threshold of the room, but said nothing, continued with doing their… work.

“Please, don't tell my father,” she said, suppressing her moan.

Axel’s victorious smirk plastered on his face, his muscular body covering the girl’ entire body. He didn’t even bothered to remove his jeans, it was just hanging right below his ass giving me a perfect view of his round ass.

“Don’t stand there like a pervert,” he said, in-between thrusts. “Close the door and get out.”
