Song: "Cassiopeia Theme" (Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet) - Gamefreak
After everyone had their fill, except for Kira and Sada, Penny went over to the couch and lounged in it a little, as she took her rotom phone out from her hoodie's pocket and pulls up an app before pointing it at Sada first then at Kira next, which had helped her identify her computers a lot, back at home.
Noticing this, Sara walked over and sat down next to her, once Penny was finished with what she's doing.
"Check it out." She says before showing her, Nemona and Scarlet the data she gathered on her phone.
In it, it showed a picture comparison of what both Sada and Kira look like right now, to what they look in their robotic appearance.
Bald with no skin: Machinery, sparks, wires, etc...Things of that sort.
Seeing the robotic appearance of both Sada and her own mother, made Sara feel like she was looking through an x-ray machine that's meant for AIs instead.
Pointing at a cloud of information that appeared between both comparisons, Penny whispers, "AI Sada's being controlled by a computer called Infrared."
"Infrared?" Nemona asked, intrigued, as she leaned in a bit close to study the diagram shown on the rotom phone's screen.
Even Sara was studying the diagram too, feeling very curious and intrigued as well, after hearing this new information.
"According to this, Infrared's power becomes weakened whenever she has human contact. But, she hasn't had any of that, before we arrived here, until now." Penny explains.
"Huh...Honestly, this looks a little spooky but I think it's also just really weird too, seeing mom and Sada in their robotic appearances. Freaky as heck on top of that." Sara commented, in her opinion, after her friends were finished speaking about Infrared for a moment.
"Not an everyday thing for me to see such things like this before."
"Well, now you have." Penny simply replies as she looks over at her.
"But, strangely, I can't seem to get any data from AI Kirara on what computer she's being controlled by...I was lucky at all I've managed to get data on her, most likely on her robotic appearance, but that was really it."
"Wait...What? That's unusual." Sara went as she stared at Penny in both shock and disbelief. "Especially for someone who's a skilled hacker like you."
"Yeah, thanks. That aside, from where I can't seem to get ahold of any data on your mother except this, Sara...I think there might be a signal interference going on. Either that, or somebody clearly doesn't want us to get ahold of any information on her.
I dunno if they're doing this out of ill intention, or if they're doing this just to protect her and the data itself." Penny mentions.
Before Sara could say anything, her rotom phone started to vibrate, catching everyone's attention and making her aware that a text message was just recently sent to her.
"Sara, is that your phone vibrating?" Arven asked.
"Yeah, it is...But, who could be sending me a text message at a time like this? Especially when we just arrived here, but 87 years ago in Paldea instead." Sara went while taking her phone out, before looking over at it.
"None of us should be able to receive anything on our phones, because rotom phones and the Internet weren't even invented in this timeline of Paldea yet, from what I could guess."
In response, he shrugged a little, not knowing who sent her a text.
But, he had to agree though. It's very strange to get a text on your phone, when you've traveled to the past before rotom phones ever even existed.
After typing in the PIN to unlock her phone and tapped on the messaging app to see who was messaging her, Sara suddenly froze and just stared at the following message that showed up on her screen:
'I know the answer to that...'
After reading the text, Sara looked at the messenger's information, seeing they're not from one of the contacts that's on her contact list.
"Someone just texted me. And it's from an unknown number...Penny, are you pulling the Cassiopeia stunt on me too or something?" She went before looking over at her.
"No...I don't think so." Penny answers as she shook her head.
Staring back at her phone, Sara typed in and then sent her reply next.
'Who are you?'
Then for a moment she waited before her phone vibrated again and a new message popped up.
'My name is Elfilin...I hacked yours and your friends' rotom phones so I could communicate, most likely with you right now, and to AIs Sada and Kira as well. I hope you'll forgive me for the intrusion for doing that so suddenly and won't mind.' The following text reads next in response to both Sara's question and explanation.
'You and your friends will meet me in person eventually...For now, let me chat with you on your phone through video call...'
On cue as Sara was finished reading the text, her phone started to ring, catching everyone else's attention except for her.
Ro-to-to-to-to... ♪
Without hesitating, she answered the call, seeing it was from the same hacker who was texting her just a few seconds ago.
"This is Sara I'm speaking to. Correct?" The hacker asks, their voice being heard, only no one could unfortunately identify them to know if they're a male or a female.
Most likely because they're using the voice changer.
"Yes." She answered.
"Okay, just making sure all is working well..." They responded, sounding relieved.
Then they switched the call to a video call, revealing nothing but a dark room full of computers in the background and a solid black human silhouette with neon purple eyes.
Seeing those eyes made Sara shudder a little, feeling very unsettled by the sight of them.
Most likely because she really hates the color purple. And purple has always been a bad luck color for her since she was little and into today, which it still is to her.
And because of that, that results in the very main reason why she really hates it and likes the color orange more.
"Before you say anything else, I've been meaning to tell you this before you called me, but, Elfilin is a rather odd name...Nevermind that though for now. What's your motive?" Sara commented before asking, as she shoved her fear and worries aside for now.
"That...is something I'm not ready to tell you yet. I will soon, however. Aside from this, I have some data for you on AI Kira." They answered.
"Data? What kind of data?" Arven asked.
"I assume they're talking about the data that I couldn't access earlier before. Which is trying to identify what computer is controlling Sara's mother." Penny answers.
"Yes, that is correct. I hacked the computer's system to get the information for you, knowing you were gonna be in a bit of a pickle when denied access.
The computer controlling AI Kira has an extremely high security system in there, that'll detect anyone who tries to hack into the system before any of you could even say your own name.
Hacking into it is like trying to hack into a computer at a military base. It won't be very easy." Elfilin explains.
"So how were you able to hack the computer's system without being detected and denied access?" Sara asked.
"I won't go into details about it, but let's just say...I've been hacking technology for a long time." They answered.
"Pushing this away for now, could you point your rotom phone at Sara's phone, Penny, so I can send you the data?"
Not sure what to think or say, but knowing she'll need the information, Penny hesitates before she reluctantly points her phone at Sara's.
As she did, Elfilin transferred the data to Penny's phone for her, which then popped up on the screen next, revealing all the data Penny needed to know.
"Hold on. Kira's being controlled by a computer called...ID-SK27?" Penny started, before feeling puzzled next, clearly having no idea what the computer's name meant.
First, the hacker identifies themself with a name no one's ever even heard of, for once in their lives before...And now, the computer itself that's controlling Kira, has a very strange name too.
"What's ID-SK27?" Sara asked Elfilin as she looked at her phone, wanting an answer from them, after she stood up to stretch the tiredness out of her for a moment.
"I can't say much about that, but I'll tell you this though...You and your friends will figure it out soon enough if you think about it for a while." They answered.
"Enough with the stupid riddles and quit trying to be mysterious! Just tell us already!" She snapped, clearly getting annoyed with the hacker a little.
"I'm not trying to be mysterious or some kind of a riddler as you state that you think I am and doing. Like I said, Sara...I can't. I just literally can't, no matter what.
Giving away too much information, about this, will cut my communication off. And it'll be a huge, but a long struggle for me to reach out to get back into contacting and connecting with you again." A slightly frustrated sigh was heard from Elfilin.
"I'm sorry. I truly am...But, that's how the computer's system works. And it's not my order either, since I didn't create the computer."
"Urgh...You've got a point." Sara sighs wearily a little in defeat.
"As I said before, just now, you'll all understand what ID-SK27 is, if you think long and hard about it. The more you do that, the quicker you'll figure it out before you even know it." Elfilin continues.
"I'll be signing out for now, but, I'll be checking in and leaving you any updates if I find and uncover anything else that'll probably help...Good luck."
Then they signed off before anyone could say anything.
After that, Sara started to curse in spanish under her breath.
"All of that stuff they're saying makes zero sense!" She sighs angrily before she slams her foot up against a wall nearby her. "That's like speaking absolute and complete utter nonsense in my head..."
"Yeah, no kidding...But, at least I have some idea about them." Penny nods.
"And what would that be?"
"Elfilin's most likely on our side and is not the mastermind behind Infrared or ID-SK27. Even though we don't trust and are still suspicious of them, it at least confirms some of the things in our minds that would make them our ally."
"Oh, of course...But the question still hangs in the air on what ID-SK27 is."
"Yeah...And what does it actually do too."
Just as they were finishing up with the conversation, Kira walked over, feeling a little curious, without her and Sada.
"Heya! What are you guys talking about?" She asked, while she wondered what's going on in the teen world like any other parent would, normally.
"Nothing! Just the usual stuff...Our likes and dislikes about school and things of that sort." Sara answered as she smiled and sweat dropped a little.
"Ohh, okay then..." Kira went before nodding in understanding.
In return, Sara nodded too until her mother looked out the window, seeing it was getting dark outside.
"Before I forget, I came over here to tell you that it'll be getting close to bedtime soon." Her mother resumes as she looks back at Sara and her friends.
"You've all had a rough time coming here, I know for sure and can tell you that...So, let me and Sada handle the sleeping arrangements for you."
Then she starts leading them to the bedrooms.
"The girls will be sleeping in the bedroom that's in front of me, Arven will be in the bedroom by my right, and by my left is the room where me and Sada will be in." Kira explains once they arrive.
"Why are we put in individual rooms? Couldn't we all just sleep together in one?" Arven asked, which made Sara facepalm as soon as she heard that.
"Or at least let me sleep in the other room, so, I know mom's okay or something like that?"
"Dude...Have you not ever heard of the word 'privacy' during school? Clearly that's what mom's dropping the big hint to us about, that shouldn't even be a hard miss for you." Sara went as she gave Arven a funny look, like he just grew an extra head.
"Do you seriously want to be in a room full of girls, who'll eventually want to take a shower and change their clothes? Or a room with two adults, that are also girls as well, which is extremely weird to sleep with like you're still a five year old?"
"Uh..." Arven began before he closed his mouth.
But, she had a point though.
The last thing Arven needed, just right after arriving into the past with them not too long ago, is being called a pervert by either one of the girls in the group.
"My thoughts exactly..." Sara went before entering the middle room to set her stuff down and coming back out.
Just after Sara was finished, Kira sweat dropped a little, while she mentally agreed with her on that.
It would definitely be very weird for a young teen like Arven, to be sleeping in a room with two grown women.
Or just in a room of four girls.
But, she still insists on Arven sleeping in a room by himself and with Mabosstiff too, so she knows Arven isn't pulling any shenanigans that boys his age would usually do...
After the sleeping arrangements were settled, everyone wished each other good night before going to bed.
Well, except Arven.
He wasn't really in the mood to say good night. Instead, he went into the room he was arranged with and took Mabosstiff out of his ball, allowing him to sleep at the foot of the bed when he did.
Once he pulled the blankets over himself as his head hit the pillow, Arven was out like a light.

Just as Sara was about to enter the room she and the other girls were sleeping in, Kira reached over and gently grabbed her by the shoulder.
"Hm? What's up, mom?" Sara asked as she turned to look at her.
"Before you go in, there's something Sada and I want to tell you...Privately. Are you okay with this?" Kira mentions before asking.
"Uh, yeah. Sure...I guess." Sara answers before shrugging her shoulders.
Then her mother nodded in response before she looks up at Scarlet, Nemona and Penny.
"If you three don't mind, I'm gonna borrow my daughter for a moment to discuss with her about something. Mother and daughter talk wise, y'know?" Kira says as she smiles a little at them.
"Okay." Scarlet nods while Nemona and Penny just gave Kira the thumbs up to show they understood.
"Thank you." Kira says before she leaves, closing the bedroom door behind her, as she gently takes and holds Sara's hand in hers.
"Follow me. We'll have this little discussion in our room."
Without asking why, Sara just follows after her, until she and Kira arrive.
"I'm back." Kira says next after she knocked and entered, seeing Sada sitting down and lounging in the bed.
"Hey! Come on over and have a seat!" Sada waves as she sat up.
Not sure where to sit, Sara just sat down on the bed and looked over at her as Kira sat down too.
"Okay, so, uh...What is it you two wanted to discuss with me about?" Sara asked.
Then both AIs exchanged looks at each other for a moment, silently asking if it was really okay, before they looked back at Sara.
Sighing, Kira's face changed to a serious expression, before she gently held Sara's hand again.
"Sara...As I've already said, there's something the both of us wanted to discuss with you about." Kira began as she looked at her daughter in the eyes.
"This is about you though..."
"And what would that be?"
"Your birth. How you came into this world..." She answered.
"What do you mean? I was born like how everyone else was...Right? The whole 'babies come from the Pelipper' thing adults tell us when we're kids?" Sara asked, still feeling confused by what's going on.
"Uh...No." Both Sada and Kira replied in sync.
"No??? What do you mean?!" Sara went in shock and disbelief.
"Sara, your birth was the opposite. It was abnormal...Do you ever wonder why everyone keeps asking you questions you don't know the answer to?" Kira asked, clearly wanting Sara to think for a moment.
"Yeah?" Sara nods.
"Well...You're not just my daughter. You're a clone of my original self too." Kira sighs.
"HUH?!?! WHAT?!" Sara could only utter out, as she grew even more shocked.
Seeing this, both Sada and Kira expected that kind of reaction out of her.
"I mean...How?!" She asked them next.
"15 years ago, your mother was researching something she recently learned. Her curiosity grew to the point where she started experimenting...
By combining two separate but different DNAs and using a machine she had built with the help of the original Professor Sada and ours...
As a result, the experiment turned out to be very successful 9 months later, and what was born from that experiment...was you." Sada explained for Kira.
"Me??" Sara went.
"Yes. You were born from the combined genetics, with the help of that machine, that successfully created you.
After that was done, your mother took you in and raised you for a while until you were 5 years old and when the accident happened that took the original professor's lives."
Once she was finished, Sara didn't know what to say.
This new information she's hearing right now was definitely a very huge shock for her.
"So...I'm a clone, as you said, right? But, whose combined genes was I born out of??" She asked.
"Mine and Sada's...Surely, you can see the resemblance of the both of us in your genetical makeup, every time you look at yourself in the mirror?" Kira answered.
"Even your own name should've given you another hint about you being our daughter. The 'Sa' part coming from 'Sada' and the 'ra' part also coming from my name."
"Okay, mom has a point." Sara thought to herself, as she thought about it. "However, I'm wondering how in the world did she manage to pull all of it off, just by using the genetics of the same gender...That's just not possible at all."
"Well, to be honest...Yeah, I kinda can now." She answers as she looks up at both AIs next, pushing her thoughts away for now.
"My classmates at school kept asking me if I'm another child of Sada or something because I looked so much like and am also probably a twin of her. But, I wasn't so sure. All I know is that I'm your daughter. Not Sada's too."
"Ahaha....I was wondering when that question was gonna pop up someday when you hit your teens. And it was about time too." Kira chuckles before ruffling Sara's hair lightly.
"Hey!" She went before pouting at her mother. "You and Sada are the ones to talk...Dropping this really unexpected bombshell on me out of nowhere like this."
"Well, how else were we gonna tell you? Truth's gotta come out at some point." Sada replies.
"Yeah, that's true..." Sara sighs in defeat.
"Even though you're a human clone with combined genes of both of our original selves, you're still a human no matter what. So, don't let anyone push you around or treat you badly, just because you're a clone of us." Kira says next.
"Live your life the way you want it, as you currently are right now and as long as you don't get yourself in severe trouble or killed, m'kay?"
"Okay. Thank you, mom." Sara chuckles as she smiles.
Then she looks over at Sada.
"I guess I'll have to call you 'mom' too, huh? Or 'Sada-mama' to avoid any confusion?" She asks next.
Hearing this made both AIs laugh before they gushed in adore, finding it cute.
"Seems like it. But, you can still call me by my name if you want to." Sada chuckles.
"But, if you're gonna call me 'Sada-mama' though...I would at least recommend you to call me that when Arven's not around us. It would be too weird for him and would be very hard for us to explain everything all over again, but to him instead."
"Yeah, you're not wrong at all. It's already weird enough for me to learn just recently that I came into existence after mom combined her genes with the original Sada's..." Sara chuckles.
Then something came across her mind.
"Wait...If I have half of Sada-mama's genes in me, does that make me Arven's biological step sister or something?" She asks next.
"I don't really know to be honest...I'll check later. For now, we need rest, and that's all we both wanted to discuss with you about for today." Kira answers before she gives Sara a kiss on the forehead, which makes her aware that even the AI version of her mother knows what love is too.
"You can go on ahead and head back to the bedroom you and the other girls are sharing. If there's anything else we forgot or need to tell you, we'll let you know, m'kay?"
"Okay...Thanks again, mom and Sada-mama." Sara smiles before hugging both AIs.
"You're welcome, sweetie...Have a good night." Kira chuckles as she and Sada hug her back before parting.
"You too." She replies as she gets up and out of the bed, while she heads over to the door.
Then Sara looks over and smiles at them, before she leaves the room, closing the door behind her as she does.
Once she did, Kira sighs before she looks over and smiles at Sada.
"At least she took it very well..." She says.
"I was a bit nervous for a moment there..." Sada nods.
"Yeah, I was too." Kira nods.
Then both of them laid themselves down on the bed, as they pulled the blanket over their bodies.
"Wait, how do I go to sleep again?" Sada asked before Kira could doze off.
"Simple. Just close your eyes and go into sleep mode." She answers as she smiles sleepily at Sada.
"I see...Thanks." Sada smiled back.
"You're welcome." Kira replies before she and Sada fell asleep together, as they huddle in close to each other.
