Selena kept removing the snow off her goggles she's using to protect her eyes from the harsh cold wind blowing onto her bare skin. It wasn't smart to go straight into this blizzard in shorts and short sleeves, but she was desperate to find her Ninetales. Her keystone was reacting brightly to Ninetales megastone. She has to be close...

She felt Hau and Gladion's aura. She turned over to see a hotel near by and noticed the two standing there with big jackets. Hau looked at her confused, feeling her excitement and desperation of finding her partner, and gasped when noticing she didn't have a coat

"Selena! Are you crazy!?" He ran to give her his jacket "its cold out here! Why are you wearing something so light!? You did know there was a blizzard here, right!?" She looked down, nodding and hugged herself tightly

"I don't care... I have to find her" Gladion walked up to her and put a beanie on her head, confusing her. He stared at her pale yet rosy cheeks. she breath out frost breath and returned the coat back to Hau after Froslass handed her her only light hoodie that she had since she was 16, though was pretty tight around the chest area

"Who are you talking about, Selena?" Hau asked

"My Ninetales. She could be suffering in this cold" Gladion crossed his arms

"A alolan Ninetales suffering in the cold? How is that likely to happen?" She looked at him confused, shivering from the cold "what? Don't tell me you don't know!"

"Know what?" He rolled his eyes

"Alolan Ninetales are ice type Pokémon who make their living in Mount Lanakila"

"You must be mistaken... My Ninetales isn't from here. She's a fire type" he shook his head

"How long have you lost her? Months you said, right?" He remembered the stories she told him? "You're not from here, and neither is your Ninetales. This region takes in people from around the world and they leave behind their Pokémon. They leave behind their Vulpix or Ninetales and they transform their coats to get use to the ice in the mountain. I believe your Ninetales had changed forms if it's able to survive for that long. How do you even know it's up here anyways?" She looked through the blizzard

"I feel her" she held her heart. Hau rubbed his arms

"What I don't understand is how the ice from Mount Lanakila traveled all through route 13 when it's not for another few miles away from where we are" Selena gasped

"The blizzard has been around for months... hasn't it..? And my Ninetales have been gone for that long as well..."

"What are you getting at?" Gladion asked

"My Ninetales is causing this storm!" She floated off her feet and flew off. Gladion threw his arm towards her and disabled her ability to fly. He caught her before she landed on the ground

"Don't be a idiot! You don't know Alola! You'll get lost in that blizzard and no one is going to be able to find you!" Selena shook her head

"No! You're wrong! Ninetales will find me! And I will find her! I have Froslass to support me! So let me go!" She pushed him away, but he wasn't haven't it

"Why do you think your Ninetales would be powerful enough to cause a storm like this!?" She stared out in the storm

"B-because... because I know she's the only one in the entire world who can mega evolve!" She screamed "she's special and super strong! She carried on battles by herself even when surrounded! She took on legendaries and defeated them! She's one of a kind! And I want her back!" She pushed him away and flew through the wind again, but it was too strong that it kept pushing her back "she's my first Pokémon and she was the one that gave me the ability of bonding! She showed me true happiness... my first experience in happiness was from her" Gladion stared at her potential, but refused to let her go. She cried her heart out, feeling the want to see and hold her friend again. She just miss her so much... she wasn't around to comfort Selena when Shadow and the triad died. She had to see her again

"Selena..." Hau frowned at the pain and faced Gladion "say, let her go, will yah?" Gladion looked at her like he was crazy

"You're kidding, right?" He held his hips

"I don't know why you care so much, but if you do, think about how Selena is feeling. She went through a lot and misses her friend. That's her partner, how would you feel if you lost your Null?" Gladion stared at him before looking at Selena's pouting face "you're such a mysterious person, what do you have with Selena?" Selena questioned that comment and stared at Gladion looking down. She peaked up over his shoulders to notice eyes looking at her through his hood

"I don't know..." he said "but all I know is that she needs to be protected"

"Protected?" Hau questioned

"To be the Lele created by two legendaries, you were set to become someone special. To have bonding powers, I believe you would be the one to protect this Pokémon called Cosmog"

"Cosmog?" Selena asked "what's Cosmog got to do with anything?" He let her go so she can face him

"You know about Cosmog, good. Make sure to keep it safe. Team Skull is looking for it. It's not the reason why I want you protected, but for the sake of Alola... I want you and Cosmog to stay safe. I mean, it's not a strong Pokémon, but it has the potential to summon Pokémon so terrifyingly strong that you don't even know. You and Cosmog have that ability to bring misfortune to this region. You and your emotions... your power. I feel it in me that I have to protect you" the strange core in his hood, it's head popped out to look at her. They stared at each other in the eyes. Is that a core Yvonne was gathering to make a legendary Pokémon? That must be the last one she was talking about "It's perhaps another power I don't have the strength to disable. Selena, you're a pretty special chick" he turned his back "so don't cause trouble all because you're emotional. One little mistake and things can go wrong" she believed it... like her aura bomb that could had killed her if it wasn't for Lucario saving her. It could had killed her friends and much more

"I got it..." he pet her head sideways and looked at her

"Go now, and find Ninetales" she nodded and looked at Hau smiling at her. She returned the smile and flew off to the harsh wind with Froslass. Hau looked at Gladion curiously

"So what? Like... do you like Selena or what?" Gladion glared, annoyed, and covered his eye

"Shut it... it's not like that! She's powerful, but she's also dangerous. If there's a chance where I can prevent her from getting into trouble, it may prevent disaster from happening"

"Speaking of that... how can Cosmog bring something like that? What do you know?"

"Just protect it! Will yah!?" He groaned. Hau smiled

"Yeah, I can feel your concern, but I also feel what you feel towards Selena!" Gladion flinched "I'm a Lele, and I have the ability to sense other people's emotions. I know how you feel about her" he turned away, red and embarrassed, but mostly pissed off

"Have you noticed something about her..?"

"What do you mean?"

"Her power... why is it that she was chosen to hold a power that can cause that much damage when she's broken herself?" Hau rested his arm behind his head, looking at the direction of where Selena ran off

"She might be broken, but she's strong. Her eyes may have gave off a feeling to make me attracted to her looks, though she is stunning to look at, she's amazing in her own ways. She's wise and knows how to think. She's elegant, believe it or not! She's like a princess with those who look up to her and everyone running after her. She has a power to use her voice to attract others even when they're far away, but I think it's only to the ones who've seen her eyes"

"Like a siren?" Hau nodded "strange... she's more than a princess, she was crowned queen before. Is... that what she was meant to be?" The two looked into the blizzard

"Zy..." Gladion looked over at Zyna frowning and forced it back in the hood before walking away without Hau knowing he left. Selena... 

"Team Skull found out about Cosmog... let's hope they don't try to come after Selena" Zyna nodded

Selena kept getting blown to the ground as the powerful wind kept throwing her around. She had to keep going... she can feel Ninetales so near. She decided to stay on her feet so she wouldn't loose her progress by being blown back to where she started. It felt like progress wasn't even made. Her feet lost its walkway and suddenly made her stumble into a iced oasis

"What is this..? Why is Ninetales making this blizzard?" It's hard to believe that Ninetales had changed her form to be better suited to this environment, and there's no telling why she's causing the blizzard, but the biggest question is that why did Selena's aura sphere bomb send Ninetale's Pokéball all the way to this region and to this mountain? How big of a explosion could her powers be if Lucario didn't combine its own aura to ease the explosion and save her?

Thinking that aside, she focused her power into her hands and created a shield out of her own aura to keep the wind out. She then had access to fly around as freely as she want, but the wind was still strong enough to keep her from going too fast

"Ninetales! It's me! Selena! Don't you remember!?" The keystone was glowing much brighter than before

"Straight ahead" a unknown voice spoke "is where lies Mount Lanakila... the highest point in Alola" there wasn't much to see through the icy wind "there you will find your partner, but there also lies your future"

"Future?" The voice didn't come back after that. She put her hands together, determined, and raised her arms high to expand the shield surrounding her. The wind was gone around the strange town with few broken buildings that looked like it had been that way for a long time. Tapu Village is what Hapu mentioned before, right?

The area was covered in pink like someone was looking through the world with pink lenses. A few people walked from their shelters to question this change, while Selena stared up ahead and stared at a white colored Pokémon with curly beautiful nine tails behind her. She smiled, shedding tears

"Ninetales..." the white Pokémon flinched and turned around, showing of its few transformation. Ninetales... she turned into a ice type. Ninetales stared at her with thick balls of tears coming out her eyes "my baby girl..."

"Niii!" Ninetales cried and ran into her open arms. Selena released her aura, feeling that the blizzard had died down. It really was Ninetales that made it. She must've not had control over her new power...

"I miss you... I'm so sorry... it's my fault you ended up here. I'm sorry" Ninetales whined, wrapping her long tails around her master "you're the only one who doesn't know, and you were the one I wanted comfort from. They... Shadow, Shade, and Dark... they're gone"

"Ni?" Ninetales flinched

"But I'm being strong... this place is one where I couldn't have imagined to help me this much. I lost my mind when that Ghetsis..." she shook her head "it's all fine now... I'm going to find a way to put them to peace. Right now, I'm just really happy to have you in my arms again" Ninetales dropped her tails and relaxed, knowing her master needed a kind of comfort she could only do

The area was covered in snow, which seemed pretty weird for Alola being such a sunny place "you lost control over your new powers, huh?" Selena giggled. Ninetales sweat dropped, embarrassed "don't worry, at least I'm not the only one without control" Ninetales cheered and rubbed herself around Selena's legs

"Selena?" Hau ran up to her with a big grin "boy! That blizzard calmed down fast huh? As soon as it did, I came running as fast as I could to find you! Looks like we're here in Tapu village! Though it's not much of a village, it was called that only because Tapu Bulu protected the mountain!" She looked up ahead to stare at the path to the mountain, where Ninetales was facing before

Hau stared at the amazing glow on Selena's face, feeling a ball of happiness reaching its max. He smiled and began to speak, but felt a chill creeping his spine when feeling anger coming from down below. His eyes gazed on a large Ninetales bigger than any one he had ever heard of. It looked powerful and ready to attack

"Say... is that the Ninetales you were looking for?" Selena smiled and pet Ninetales, calming her down

"Yeah! We're finally together again! I couldn't be happier" Hau nodded

"That's great! I feel the joy in your heart! It's a great feeling, isn't it?" She nodded happily

"Sure is!" Ninetales looked up at her and looked at Froslass floating there. Froslass smiled softly, making Ninetales smile and rub on her master all happily

"This Ninetales is really tall... is it because it's so strong?" She smirked

"Better believe it!" She held up her keystone "my Ninetales is the only one out there who can mega evolve. It was actually Mew that gave me her mega stone when I went to faraway island!"

"Wow!" He looked at the mountain "I think this is the place where Kukui was talking about. Now that the blizzard is gone, construction workers can come back and start working!"

"A Pokémon league... don't you think it's a little too much?"

"Nah! The professor told me a lot about Pokémon leagues! Say, if you were champion twice, that makes you extra super strong!" She blushed

"I guess... enough about that" she hugged Ninetales again "I just want to go somewhere and relax. It's been a long time since I've been with my partner, I'm sure she's starving. Right?" Ninetales nodded rapidly "don't worry, I'll give you everything to eat once we get somewhere"

"Nine!" Hau nodded, pleased

"I love this feeling. It's strong. The bond you have towards each other. It's unlike anything I've ever felt" he chuckled "you continue to amaze me, don't you?" Ninetales noticed the color of his eye and sees how close he is to her master. If they're friends, looks like there's going to be some fun in messing with him! She levitated him off the ground and flipped him upside down

"H-hey! Selena! What are you doing!?" Selena giggled

"Oh, that's not me. I'm a master prankster, so it's only natural that my partner and even all my Pokémon picked up on that hobby" he whined as Ninetales rocked him around like a baby. Seeing how he was behaving, it fit perfectly

Everyone in Poké Pelago was super excited to see Ninetales again. Selena decided to spend her few days home to settle herself with Ninetales before deciding to travel with her again. She was trained to control her powers, and learned a lot about what happened during the months the two of them were separated. She hated how she couldn't be by Selena's side, but seeing how much stronger she is since that day, Ninetales is sworn to be next to her from now of and never leave her side. As a Pokémon, this wasn't a problem since she loved her master so much

It was time to go back on the journey. Selena was getting her bag ready while her sister was trying to give her a bouquet of Glacideas for the safe trip. Ninetales glanced over at Zoroark in human form leaning on the wall, minding his own business while Zorua hugged his leg like something was bothering her

"Is something wrong?" Ninetales asked them. Zorua looked at Zoroark, who shook his head

"Don't worry about it" he covered his eyes "it's too much... to think about" Zorua nodded and covered her face on his shirt. Ninetales stared at them before turning to Selena walking to the exit, where she waved her family goodbye and return her Pokémon besides Ninetales and teleported to route 15 to the aether house that was up ahead. Aether foundation... this might be a good place to get some answers about Toby

Walking in, she was greeted by Hau and a few kids

"Hey Selena! Glad you can make it!" Ninetales turned to the side at some hanging pictures and gasped. Selena looked at where she was staring and gasped herself, seeing a old picture of a girl she recognized

"What the..?" She ignored Hau and rushed to the picture, where there hanged another picture of her old mansion, but much more larger and new "isn't this..?"

"I see you have taken a notice at my family's old photo!" Acerola spoke from the front door

"Your family's photo?" She nodded with pride, walking to the picture frame with a girl that resembled Acerola's face

"Yeah! Remember when I said my family was royalty! Well you're looking at the old princess of Unova! The first Lele of existence, Melody!"

Melody finally got a origin! Watch and wait to see the real juicy stuff! I've been waiting to write about this!
