Battle tent
Neil is training his new Pokemon Combusken in the battle tent against  female cool trainer Coara and her linoone. "Linoone quick attack!" Coara ordered "linoooon!" Her linoone then ran at tremendous speeds at Combusken. "Combusken endure the hit" Neil commanded and Combusken folded her arms and blocked attack. "Now counter with fire punch!" Neil shouted " Buskeeeen! " Combusken claws were lit on fire as she hit linoone on the hip forcing it to the ground. Linoone struggled back to on it's feet "linoone are you okay?" Coara asked as linoone was breathing heavily. A blue aura surrounded Combusken signaling her increase in speed. "Speed boost huh. Now is the time! Use double kick!" Neil shouted and Combusken launched herself at linoone kicking it in the face with both her feet. "That speed, linoone!" Coara cried, but linoone had been knocked out instantly. The referee then announced "linoone is unable to battle. The winner is Neil and Combusken!" "Oh right! good job Combusken!" Neil said as he high fives his Pokemon "combuuus!" Combusken shouted happily she seems to have grown used to her new trainer in such a short time. Neil and Coara shook hands and Neil collected his prize money of p3000 (p=Pokemon currency)
"Congrats Neil! That battle was fabulous" Amala praised Neil as she came down from the audience booth. "Thanks Amala..." Neil said with faint blush on his face but that quickly vanished as Amala sent out Aggron a steel dinosaur like creature. Neil pulled out his Pokedex
Aggron the iron armor Pokemon a rock and steel type, the length of their horns tell their age and they are proud to see battle scars on their armor
"Come on Neil let's battle I want to try mega evolution on you! "Amala happily exclaimed. "Hold on professor, i want to attempt the gym challenge full of confidence and I think taking on a mega would bulldoze that confidence"Neil said with beads of sweat on his face. " Boo no fun" Amala said sadly. "Well if you won't take young Amala, how about this old fellow? "Professor Ivan said referring to himself, he then sent out a small blue serpent Pokemon.
Dratini the dragon Pokemon a dragon type. Dratini sheds it's skin frequently because as it's gets stronger it's body must adapt by shedding.
Neil could see an easy win from this but knowing Ivan he probably had a trick up his sleeve. "I would love to but I have to check out the game corner. I heard that they have some rare TMs(techincal machines) there so see you two in the lab later" Neil replied as he rushed out of the battle tent.
Game corner
This was a huge flat building with no stairs but was very roomy. It was filled with slot machines. People of all ages where there trying their luck. Someone in particular stood out as the man was winning like crazy, Everytime he pulled the lever coins would pour out like water,this was without a doubt Mr Klaus the gym leader of Fescue City, Neil wouldn't forget the face of such a man. Neil passed by hoping Klaus did not see him,
The game corner receptionist then gave Neil a coin case and 50 coins. Neil proceeded to go to the slot machine furthermost from Klaus.
Neil couldn't rely on luck like most people so he relied on his genius, he invented a new device for helping him get coins, the 'Electromagnetic Stabilizer'(E.M.S) this small button sized device hooks on to slot machine and makes it slot match perfectly. With this Neil was able to gather enough coins to buy TM psychic, flamethrower, blizzard and double team he also bought a mudkip doll for Amala since it matched her hair color.

"Ahhhhh thank you Neil it's adorable" Amala said snuggling the mudkip doll for a 22 year old her personality begged to differ. "No problem professor it's my pleasure" Neil blushed as he said it, he then used the TMs to teach Combusken flamethrower and double team, Espurr psychic and blizzard to Snare, he was finally confident enough to challenge the gym. "It's time Neil, Amala let's head out" Ivan said as all three of them walked out of the lab.
Spirulina gym
This was another wide area with a battlefield in the middle Amala and Ivan stood away from the field as Neil stood on the left side of it. The referee of the rockgym came out of a door and behind him was a man with black hair in a bowl cut. He wore a yellow jacket on top of his all black clothing "my name is Joel the strong and tough man like a rock, I am the gym leader of spirulina city! The man introduced himself to Neil. "Nice to meet you am a scientist,the names Neil" Neil answered nonchalantly making the Joel lose his spunk. "Well since this is your first gym battle I'll use only 2 Pokemon i expect the same from you Neil!" Joel shouted pumping himself up while holding a pokeball in each hand. "Bring it on" Neil send with his eyes full of determination.
"Battle start!" The referee announced
"Geodude roll out!" Joel sent out a rock creatures with arms. "Snare go!" Neil sent out his signature snover. "Snare be wary of his arms and use razor leaf!" Neil commanded "snoooo!"snover launched a barrage of sharp leaves at Geodude. "Dodge it" Joel coolly ordered and Geodude wse it's arms to lift it's body of the ground dodging the leaves. "Now mega punch!" Joel ordered Geodude. "Geooooo!" Geodude's fist glowed white as it charged towards snare. "Snare counter with with ice punch!" Neil countered. "Snoooover!" Snare light blue fist collided with geodude's white one and forced both Pokemon back a bit. "Don't let up use icy..." Neil said but was cut off by Joel "haha I knew it that small wind won't save you Geodude use rock throw!" Geodude lunch a barrage of rocks at Snare but. "Heh you fell for it Snare blizzard!" Neil commanded and a huge gust of cold air shot from the Snover's mouth. The blizzard froze the rocks and even froze Geodude. "What a powerful attack from such a small Pokemon" Ivan said as he watched the match." That's Neil for ya. I know he'll accomplish great things" Amalas said praising Neil.
The referee examined Geodude and gave his verdict. "Geodude is unable to battle, Neil wins this round". Joel returns Geodude and sends out his last Pokemon "Barbaracle! End this!" This Joel shouted as he sent out a huge rock humanoid Pokemon with seven eyes. "The hell is that?" Neil looked surprised as he checked the Pokedex Barbaracle the collective Pokemon a rock and water type, it is said that this Pokemon is actually 7 rock Pokemon combined meaning it has 7 brains.
"That's scary Snare razor leaf now" Neil ordered. Joel calmly said "Rock polish" all of a sudden Barbaracle vanished and appeared behind snare "what?" Neil said surprised. "Smackdown!" Joel ordered and Barbaracle slammed it's rock fist on Snare's head. Snare nearly lost it's composure. "Ice punch!" Neil shouted and Snare wildly waved it's arms in the air and hit Barbaracle causing some damage. "Finish it with smackdown" Joel ordered. "Racleeee!" Barbaracle slammed Snare again but this time the snover fainted. "Snover is unable to battle, leader Joel wins the round" the referee announced. Neil returns snover to his ball. "You did good, now what's my next strategy" Neil said calmly. From the side lines Amala was watching seriously (what will you do Neil?).
"Combusken show them your fire!" Neil shouted amazing Joel, Amala and Ivan with his choice of Pokemon.
"You do know your at a type disadvantage right" Joel said. " So what's your point?"Neil retorted arrogantly. "Gahahah your seriously nuts man but whatever, easy win for me Barbaracle razor shell!" Barbaracle with it's speed increased from rock polish raced towards Combusken with a blade made of water on it's hand slashed. Amala and Ivan watched in horror as Neil was dealt with a critical super effective move. All of a sudden the slashed Combusken faded "what the hell?" Joel said dumbfounded. To his surprise 50 Combusken's had surrounded Barbaracle. "Double team such a nice diversion" Neil said smiling. "Now double kick!" All the Combusken's started glowing blue thanks to speed boost and lunched towards Barbaracle. Barbaracle tried to hit Combusken but all it hit were her illusions until, 'slammmm' right in it's the face Barbaracle was kicked hard sending it back. "Damn it. rock polish then razor shell!" Joel command " don't let it hit you, use fire punch" Neil countered. "Barrrbaaaa!....... Buskeeeen!" Barbaracle and Combusken collided with a blue and red shine emitting from their fists.
"Give up I have the type advantage here! Your not fit to be a trainer" Joel told Neil. " That may be true but from what I've learned in my time as a trainer is that believing in one's self and Pokemon is needed". As Neil said this Combusken started to overpower Barbaracle with fire punch.  "Impossible!" Joel cried as Barbaracle was punched straight in the face knocking it out. "And I've been believing in myself since day one" Neil said as he raised his hand in victory. "Barbaracle is unable to battle the winner of the match is Challenger Neil!!!" The referee called out. Combusken yelled out in joy and Amala and Ivan clapped hard. "Haha I guess this guy is worthy of the basalt badge after all". Joel walked up to Neil to give him his first gym badge
That was nice my best battle scene so far. With this victory Neil will continue to grow stronger till he uncovers the truth. See you guys next time.
