[May's POV]

"I'm sorry miss, but you aren't allowed in here." The guard in front of us said as he blocked our way. We at Ash's house, I mean the place his house originally was but instead there now stands a building, like seriously one day ago there was a raging battle going on and the whole place was demolished, and the next day you go there to find a hulk building with tons of security.

"But I need to see my daughter, she was here before this place was demolished…" Serena's mom said in a desperate tone, but the guard was stubborn. It was me, Dawn, Iris, Serena's mom and Misty, we came here to meet Serena and see if she was alright but now I think we are not gonna meet her.

When I saw the news on the TV, I couldn't sleep that night, I was so terrified for Serena. I tried to call her but her phone was switched, or perhaps destroyed in the fight. I don't know what happened to her, how she is, how is Leaf and Ash, Nothing. It like she just disappeared from the world. Even her mom doesn't know if she's fine or not, she came to our house that day and was so worried for her, she cried her eyes out but we couldn't help her in any way.

We deciplac that we'd go meet her when everything calms down but now that we are here we come to know the place where she had been living is now replaced by a large building that is packed with guards and security. No outsiders allowed in.

"I'm sorry I can't let you in, I've been ordered strictly. You need to get permission from the boss or the president of the organization." He said, my head snapped up. "You mean Ash Ketchum?" I asked, the man nodded, "I have his number." I replied, "Alright, if he says to allow me you can go in." He said, I quickly pulled out my phone searched his name. I pressed the call button and held the phone to my ear. The ring went on for a long time before it got disconnected. I tried a few more times but still no answer.

"He's not picking it up." We looked at the guard who shook his head, telling us that we should go. Suddenly I caught sight of a big Pokemon behind the gates. It coming right towards us. When it got closer I noticed it looked like a Charizard but it want actually one. It was more like a robot.

The Pokemon came up to the gate and growled, the guards turned back and saw it. The Pokemon gestured to the man telling something which I couldn't clearly get, tehn the man turned back to us. "Alright you can go in." He said, and this made us cheer up. He opened the gate and we slowly got in. The Pokemon was still there and it gave a signal to is to follow him. We did so because we didn't know where to go. I hope he isn't taking us to eat us alive.

He took us to the building, a few people looked at us but didn't say anything, maybe because of this Pokemon, which I still don't know what it is. We walked for a long time before we reached what looked like a waiting room. He told us to sit down and as we sat he went out.

"He was kind of scary." Dawn pointed out. "Yeah, seriously did you see it's size it was towering over us." Misty chimed in, "but for some reason he looked familiar.." Iris said, "how do you know it was a he?" Misty asked, "I'm a dragon expert, I can distinguish when I see a male." She said boastfully. "Yeah that time when you actually thought that Charizard was a dragon." Dawn said and we had a laugh. Iris pouted, but I noticed Serena's mom wasn't smiling. I placed my hand over hers which was on her lap. She looked up, "it's going to be okay." I said in a soft tone. She nodded but didn't say anything. I know she was worried for her daughter, we all were.

I turned back and noticed they were still arguing. I sighed and just looked around the room. It wasn't much great. Again, the fact that it came here out of nowhere in a day. So can't expect it to have much accessibility. Suddenly the Pokemon returned, I looked at him and noticed there was someone behind here. I stood up, seeing me, Serena's mom looked at the door too. When the Pokemon moved aside we saw it was Serena along with Leaf. Her mom quickly got up and ran to her Serena too came crashing to her in hug we walked to them and stood back as they both had a moment of reunion. The Pokemon stood beside.

"I'm missed you so much Mom!" Serena sobbed out. "I'm missed you too dear!" Her mom cried, they both stayed in the hug for a few moments then parted. "Are you okay? You're not hurt right?" Her mom asked in worry. Serena shook her head with a smile, "No, I'm perfectly fine." She replied. After that she saw us and we all came in one big hug. After finishing up our reunion, we all backed up.

"Umm, Serena?" Dawn called, Serna looked at her questioningly. Dawn pointed out her finger towards the Pokemon. "Whose that?" She whispered. "Oh that. He's Ash's Charizard. He kinda like synced." She replied, all of our head snapped towards Charizard who was looking deep in thought. "What!?" We all shouted, excluding her mom. This caught Charizard's attention. But he didn't give any kind of expression.

"Surprising right. He's kind of scary. And much more stronger, right Charizard?" She asked looking at him, Charizard seeing that he was the topic of conversation nodded at Serena's statement. We on the other hand stood there looking hesitantly at the dragon, oh sorry Charizard is not a dragon… "also I think he has a dragon typing now. I'm not positive yet but ..." Serena looked at Charizard, "hey Charizard a you're a dragon now right?" He nodded slowly. Alright I take my words back. He is a dragon.

"CCHAAARGHH" Charizard roared softly, "what happened Charizard?" Serena asked, Charizard gestured her to go. "Oh, umm mom? I need to go back.” she said to her, I could see her mother’s expression turn sad when she spoke.

“Why so soon? We just came here?” Dawn asked, “Yeah, It’s not like you have to attend a meeting or something.” Iris added, “Yes, it’s true I don’t have to do any work here, But then again… I have something that people can only wish to have and in case of Team Rocket, they want it for their evil works, so have to be under extra supervision and I’m not allowed to meet outsiders. I was permitted today because it was my mom.I’m sorry, I too don’t want to leave you all, but I need to go.” she said, she looked at Charizard. 

Charizard then led her back to from where he brought her. I wonder if they are keeping her in a dungeon or a cell, like one of those test subjects, but I highly doubt that since its Ash’s company. After some time Charizard came back and led us to the exit, we thanked him for letting us meet and then went home.

We were currently staying at Mrs. Yvonne’s house, just so she doesn’t feel alone and also help her with her household. When we reached home me and Iris went to the kitchen to prepare lunch while Misty cleaned up the house. Dawn and Mrs. Yvonne were in the living room, “I was really surprised when Serena said that the Pokemon was Charizard.” Iris said as we were half way through our preparation. “Mhmm… I couldn’t believe it either. But now that I think of it, it wasn’t that weird, because after all it still had its basic orange color and the body structure. the only thing that changed was his appearance and size.” Misty said, she perched on the center island. “And not to forget its typing, A dragon to be precise. seriously?” Iris added. I just listened to their conversation as I stirred the soup.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. “I’ll get it…” Dawn called out as we heard some shuffling from the living room, followed by footsteps. A few moments later the door opened. “Yes?” “Good afternoon, my name is Alain Sycamore and I’m from Pokenation. I believe this is Yvonne's residence?” “yeah, it is.. But wait did you say pokenation?” “Uh huh, I was sent by Ash Ketchum, I think you might be familiar with that name..” “Of course, Please come in!”

Me, Iris and Misty looked at each other for any answers, but shrugged when we didn’t know anything. “Hello Mrs. Yvonne, I am Alain, a member of Pokenation. I have some information concerning your daughter serena.” he spoke, his voice had such depth that it seemed something was very very serious. Well of course, Serena had a powerful gem in her body and world's largest evil organization is after her life, what he said sounded like there was something else we didn't know.

"What kind of information?" Her mother asked sounding concerned. "Well, as you already know she has a Jewel of eternity, the Life, in her body. We had actually extracted a large amount of it from her so that she may not cause harm to anybody, because the power of Jewel is uncontrollable. We couldn't take all of it because if we did it would result in loss of her life.s o we had to leave a small amount of Jewel in her. However that small quantity was enough to cause the destruction that happened a few days ago at the outskirts of lumiose city, where now resides the pokenation headquarters. The kalos government had charged a huge amount of fine on the destruction holders. But you don't have to worry about that. Mr. Ketchum has cleared all the dues. But the new challenge is, the Kalos Protection Association has ordered to eliminate every amount of that Jewel from her as well as from Leaf Ketchum, the other person who caused the destruction." He told, I just stood there taking in everything he said. 

It was just a small part of the Jewel that caused the destruction, that was too strong for a significant amount. And that the government had ordered to take all the power from Serena. But he just said it couldn't be done because it would kill Serena. "But you said we can't extract all of it. It can kill her?!" Iris asked in worry and confusion. Alain turned his head to her, "Yes,I did. But there is one way. And because the government has ordered us we can't deny it. The scientists at pokenation had found a way to do this. We did two experimental tests on Pokemons to see if we can extract their power and not kill them. The result on one Pokemon turned out negative, however on the other Pokemon the experiment was positive but there was a drawback. The Pokemons is now in comatose condition, thought the scientists say it will be back to normal in a few days. Seeing this, the government asked us to conduct the real test as soon as possible. That's why…" he said, as he opened his bag and brought out a file. He opened it and kept it on the table in front of us. "... Here are some confirmation letters. And a notice regarding this situation. The government had told to take in custody of those who are not going to be purified in this test. They will be kept under close observation and security. Meaning that they will be sent to prison. I know you don't want that. So we have to run the test but also it's a bit risky so we need your confirmation on this. You may take your time to think. Please consider it wisely, it may cause your daughter's life and future. The decision is yours. My work is done here. When you made your decision you may send these papers to the head office. I shall go now. I have some other works too." With that he's good up and walked up to the door. He turned back at us and gave a small nod before opening the door and walking away. 

We started at the papers for a long time before Mrs. Yvonne picked them up and scanned them. "This is so scary and confusing." Dawn cried. It was hard for me to take in either. There were only two choices. Either we let Serena survive a life taking experiment and put her in a coma, or maybe even kill her or send her to prison for a lifetime. "What are you gonna do Mrs. Yvonne?" Misty asked softly. We all eyes at Serena's mom as she stared at those papers. "I don't know, either choice I make is going to be a bad one. I don't know what to do!" She whispered, her voice was like, taken away from her. She placed the papers on the table and covered her face in her hands. Taking deep breaths which turned into short unsteady ones signifying she was crying. Dawn placed her hand on her shoulder and gave her a rub, trying to calm her. We could only watch her in this dilemma of her daughter's life.

It's been one day since Alain visited us. Mrs Yvonne had still haven't signed the papers. She doesn't even look at those. I wonder if she has forgotten. We were sat at the diner table having our breakfast. 

"I have decided." Mrs Yvonne said solemnly. All of our heads shot towards her. "What?" Misty asked in a whisper. "Serena will go under operation. I know it will harm her but, I cannot see my daughter living a miserable life in prison. I would rather attend her funeral than have her ruin her life in a torture." She said with a straight face. We all hummed in silence. 

After breakfast she took the papers and did the necessary signatures, and handed out the papers to us. Me and Misty decided to go and deliver the file. Now we could only hope that the operation goes on well.

I'm so sorry, I forgot I had this chapter written, I was still thinking that the last chapter is still in progress. I just came to check when was the last update and saw this freaking chapter hidden here.
