For a Friend

Sharing a kiss with your soulmate is something special. It acts as a connection between your souls and links you together. If two people who are soulmates kiss even without being aware that they are soulmates, there will clearly be a 'spark' of some sorts.

Not only will you feel something resembling electricity almost, it will be pleasurable and maybe even slightly addictive. The first time is always a strange experience, and it is advised that you do it alone as the feelings and urges that follow may be unpredictable and it is always best to make sure that you aren't irritated afterwards.

A lot of people don't realise how much their soulmate keeps them up until they're separated for whatever reason, so make sure that you kiss and appreciate your soulmate frequently!

"I need you to kiss me." The red head came out with, his eyes nothing but focused and responsive. Bakugou had to take a second to realise just what Kirishima had actually asked of him, then replied in the way he thought was honestly expected of him.

"Hah‽ Do know what the fuck you're saying‽" Bakugou visibly tried to jump away from the hold on his shoulders. It was hard to tell if this was serious or not, and being that close in proximity to Kirishima was really not proving anything.

"I'm sorry, I know it's a lot to ask and I'll explain later, but you've gotta trust me right now, dude." Kirishima took a step back and looked Bakugou in the eyes, his face now determined and his eyes, although somewhat sad, aflame.

Bakugou was baffled and continued to just stammer back and forth. He would never have seen this coming and he didn't know how exactly he was expected to respond. Or even how he wanted to respond, to be honest.

"I-it doesn't have to be right now, and I promise I'll explain later. Sorry for being super weird!" He stepped away further, reiterating that he would at some point explain what randomly brought this on.

Instant regret flooded it's way through Kirishima. He let his mouth run again and now he was in an inescapable situation which he was convinced could never end well.

What could Bakugou do or say? Even if he was given an explanation later, that wouldn't stop his mind from running now. This was so random and seemed like it came completely out of no where.

That cheeky bastard.

"Anyway, is there anything you wanna do today?" The red head changed the subject, his usual expression taking over the concerning one.

Bakugou found it hard trying to keep up with him. He kept his face as neutral as possible, trying his absolute hardest to not give off any sort of reaction.

Although Kirishima was slightly relieved, he also couldn't help but admit that he was incredibly confused. He was looking for a reaction, any sort of facial expression, but all there was was shock in the blonde's voice. It was impossible to tell how he felt, what he was thinking or even if he literally didn't care and was completely blank on the scenario. Either way, at least it wasn't the worst case.

A few days passed and literally nothing had changed. There had been more than a few occasions where Bakugou had thought what if I actually did it? And nearly moved in for it, but he decided against it because in those situations it would've been easy for Kirishima to see it coming. If he was going to do this, he wanted to catch the red head completely off guard.

A chance had popped up to let him kiss the person he was in love with knowing that there wouldn't be any terrible consequences, like Kirishima being mad at him. So holy shit, was he going to take it.

He assessed the current situation. The whole class was sat in the dining room as normal, eating their lunch, as normal. Kirishima was doing the same, talking to the rest while casually eating. If anything, he wouldn't expect it around people, right? He'd think Bakugou was too proud to ever do that around anyone else, as it would bring trouble to him.

Ha, yeah right. The blonde saw this as a challenge in some ways. If he was going to do it, he was going to damn well commit to it.

The bell rang and everyone groaned as they stood up, continuing their conversations. Kirishima wasn't talking at the time, just watching his friends converse at the other end of the table.

I'll do it now, then leave the other way to go to the toilet, then I'll be a few minutes late to class so everything will be in swing and I won't have to talk to anyone. If they want an explanation then Kirishima can fucking pipe up. I'm still owed one, anyway.

He purposefully cut off his thought process. He couldn't think too hard about it, or he would actually start to somewhat second guess his decision to go through with it in the first place.

Bakugou turned his head towards Kirishima, just watching how he looked from a closer perspective. He wasn't that much closer than he usually would be, but it was still a noticeable difference to him. Bakugou wasn't listening at all to what anyone was saying, all of his attention was focused on Kirishima and Kirishima only.

Slowly, he moved closer, his lips ever so slightly parted. He could tell that Kaminari, Sero and Ashido had noticed and were staring at him, but quite frankly, he didn't care one bit in the moment.

Kirishima noticed how Sero had stopped talking and how everyone's gazes were clearly on Bakugou beside him, so he instinctively turned his head to look at the blonde. Before he could even see what was happening or react at all, he felt a sudden soft pressure on his lips and a hand come up to the back of his neck.

As soon as Kirishima realised exactly what was happening, he closed his eyes and leaned into it. Kissing back with as much passion as he was kissed with, a sudden feeling shot it's way up his spine, forcing him to abruptly pull away. Bakugou did the same, almost as if the exact same thing had happened to him...

It was amazing. For the split second Kirishima understood what was going on, his cheeks were alight and nothing felt more right than to hold Bakugou and be held by him. But that shock, that jolt, it honestly surprised them both. If they knew that something so intense would come from something rather little, Kirishima might not have asked and Bakugou definitely wouldn't have done it where he did.

They both stared at eachother wide eyed, almost as confused as the other. A few other students from the class had noticed and were definitely staring, but smiling too to show that they at least supported it. Kaminari, Sero and Ashido couldn't look any more confused. It felt as though they had all just seen that as a dream, a vision. But it was real. This was real.

"I-I'm going to the bathroom." Bakugou suddenly turned around and started heading in the opposite direction like his plan, ignoring the stares of his fellow classmates.

"That was... So manly..." Kirishima spoke to himself, still watching the door that Bakugou walked out of.

"Looks like someone felt sparks!" Uraraka called from across the hall, turning Kirishima's attention towards the rest of the people watching him.

His cheeks turned crimson as he tried to laugh it off, but he couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Even Midoriya threw his thumb up with a grin.

"Kissing sure is great and all, but do you know what they say about when you and your soulmate have se-" Kaminari started, a smug smirk on his face before it was wiped off by Ashido, who punched him in the stomach to get him to shut up. Sero immediately tried to support him, but he was chuckling at the same time.

"As much as I would love to talk about this and discover what the fuck just happened and why, it is still time for class." Ashido sadly announced, reminding everyone of the time.

They started walking out of the hall and to class quickly as to not be late, but Kirishima was still dazed at the back of everyone. He couldn't help but feel strangely frustrated.

"You okay, bud?" Sero asked as his familiar grin was staring at Kirishima.

"Me? I'm okay."

"Are ya? I remember my first kiss with the SM and after it for like a few hours I had this urge to just... Keep doing it. It's weird. Happens to most people, though." He continued on.

"I've heard something like that before. I just didn't think it'd feel like an itch that I need to scratch, like... Damn, I really just want him here. And he won't even know what's going on."

Bakugou walked in a few minutes later and took his usual seat behind Kirishima without interrupting the class. Of course some eyes still lingered on him to see if he had any sort of reaction on from earlier, but nothing. Kirishima tried his damn hardest to not turn around even once, but it took up every last ounce of his willpower.

The red head found his mind slipping almost instantly, a weird aura radiating from behind him. A weird yet intriguing aura. The next few hours were going to move painfully slow and he knew it. At first it was bouncing his foot, then it was tapping his pen on his lips, then it was focusing on the teacher's voice too much that every single sound became distorted.

Bakugou had snapped a few pencils, and now he was on his second pen, biting down on his tongue to refrain from getting too frustrated and yelling.

Their frustration was clear for everyone to see. Even if they didn't know the situation at all, it was visually clear that there was something definitely mutual with the two that was pissing them off in some way. They were counting down the hours before they'd be able to escape school.

"Bakugou, Kirishima, you're excused for the day." The teacher abruptly stated, interrupting his own lesson.

"Hm?" Kirishima didn't quite catch on immediately, but it seemed as though Bakugou had began walking out of the classroom without a second of delay, so Kirishima struggled to follow along.

"Leaving yourselves like that will just make you not able to learn even while being in class. You can catch up on the work, just go and do what you need to do."

Kirishima was honestly just glad that Bakugou didn't want the teacher to expand more on what he meant.

Noticing that the blonde was a few steps ahead and already out of the classroom, Kirishima struggled slightly to catch up with him. But when he did, he didn't quite know what to expect.

"Why the fuck were we dismissed?" He asked, the frustration in his voice showing clearly. Whether that was from being forced to leave class or because of earlier was unclear.

"I don't know-"

"Liar."

The red head was immediately called out as Bakugou's head snapped towards him, his eyes determined and absolute. Kirishima swallowed hard, trying to think of something he could say to ease the conversation in the direction of him being able to explain.

"S-so what was the clue you got?" He asked. It was a pretty lame attempt, but it was an attempt nonetheless.

"Eye colour." Bakugou replied, tearing his own eyes away from Kirishima's subconciously as he said it. He couldn't associate his soulmate clues with the red head, it was a promise he'd made to himself long ago.

My eyes are red. This just continues to add up. There's absolutely no way that this isn't me at this point. Even just the kiss, it confirms everything. But he doesn't even know it, and to be quite frank I'm not sure if he wants to know.

"Hey... What if your soulmate was looking for you and found you? What would you do then?" Kirishima asked. He hoped he wasn't being too obvious, but it was rather hard for him to tell. Even if he was, the response now was vital to his thought process.

The red head hadn't even realised that they had reached the dorm building, and that Bakugou held the door open for him at that. It seemed to be a few seconds before he received a reply, but that was to be expected. It was one of those thoughts that Bakugou had briefly thought about but he didn't like coming to conclusions on it.

"Depends on who it is. If it's anyone from our damn class or whatever then nothing would change. I don't give a shit. If it's someone I don't know then I'm not gonna go out of my way to get to know 'em." He spat, making his point abundantly clear.

Who the fuck even has red eyes in our class besides me and him? Ha, fuck if I know. But it's not him. It's not.

"Yeah, that makes sense." He sighed in relief. Bakugou had no reason to lie or anything.

But surely, things couldn't be the same. Something was bound to be subconciously different. Maybe it was only because Kirishima knew he'd never be able to look at Bakugou the same after the blonde knew the truth, but he was certain that what Bakugou was saying, was something he'd made up on the spot.

If he knew it's me, he wouldn't be the same. He'd avoid me, for sure. He's heard how I've talked about my soulmate for all this time that it would just creep him out for it to be him.

"Why the fuck won't you tell me why we were sent back here? I know you know." The blonde didn't think he'd care that much, but he was already damn irritated by the fact that he could barely keep his eyes away from Kirishima's lips as he spoke.

Kirishima didn't say anything, he just swallowed the lump in his throat and took a breath afterwards, taking his time in unlocking the door to his and Bakugou's shared room as the blonde impatiently tapped his foot.

"Seriously, do you want to know?" His tone changed completely as he turned the doorknob, but not yet opening the door.

He knew better than even Bakugou that he wasn't going to get away from this without an excuse or explanation. He needed to explain why what happened earlier happened, no matter the consequences. He owed that to the blonde, at least. It was surprising that he hadn't already brought up the kiss situation.

"Obviously."

"Don't blame me for what happens next."

The red head opened the door and let Bakugou walk in behind him. After they were in the room, which was still dark due to no light being on and the curtains being closed, Kirishima closed the door and before Bakugou got too far away, he gripped the blonde's shoulders and held him against the now closed door firmly.

The blonde didn't exactly resist, but he didn't fall back into the door either. He just stood there, honestly somewhat intimidated by Kirishima's sudden change in attitude. But not only was it concerning, it was also... Well, it made Bakugou feel especially hot, to say the least.

The red head's facial expression was serious, his eyebrows slightly furrowed as he looked the few centimetres down into Bakugou's eyes, seeing the lack of contest in them. He heard him swallow and was sure he was biting his tongue, holding back from something.

He's feeling it too.

"Since earlier, have you been... Distracted by something?" His voice lower and huskier than usual, he didn't even notice how he naturally swayed slightly closer to Bakugou.

"I don't get distracted, hair for brains." Bakugou replied, turning his head away from Kirishima, hoping to calm himself internally, keep his ground.

However, a soft hand on his face brought it back to the position it was in before. Of course, that hand was Kirishima's.

"You felt it too, right?"

"Hah?" He played dumb. Of course he know what Kirishima was talking about, it was impossible to forget.

"Are you fucking with me, or am I going to have to jog your memory?" He was slowly but surely losing control over his actions. Oh, how much he just wanted to feel that again.

"What the fuck are you-" Bakugou tried to question again in a slight panic, barely noticing just how close Kirishima actually was.

The red head moved in, but purposefully lingered just out of Bakugou's reach to see his reaction. He was ready for it. In the mere half second he noticed what was happening, the blonde had tilted his head, closed his eyes and slightly parted his lips in anticipation of Kirishima's touch.

Kirishima only enjoyed the sight for a second before moving in the rest of the way and capturing Bakugou's lips in his own for the second time that day.

It was slow, long, sweet and soft, but it was all that they needed. As they were prepared for the general feeling, it wasn't much of a shock this time. Instead it was practically a dopamine rush to the brain, every second they spent this close to each other the tingles all over their bodies just amplified.

Eventually they pulled away, Kirishima stepping away too to give the blonde room to breathe. Before either one said anything, Kirishima headed towards his bed and quickly muttered.

"I'm having a nap." He stated, climbing into bed quickly and almost desperately.

"Y-you can't just say that and do that and then just go to fucking sleep!" Bakugou yelled, trying to get a hold of his composure, mostly just annoyed that Kirishima had stopped.

"Wake me when you notice a change."

Great. So this fucker is still thinking about his soulmate throughout all that. I still didn't get a fucking explanation, but I'm not exactly disappointed in what I did get. He'll tell me when the time is right. I hope.

"Whatever. I hope you fucking die in your sleep." The blonde snapped as he sat down at his desk, banging his head on it once as to not release an actual scream.
