All Or Nothing

After ten minutes, Bakugou was practically bashing his head on the desk repeatedly, the slight urge just increasing the longer he was forced to wait. He kept glancing at Kirishima, actively looking for changes in his points. He'd never seen points drop in real time before, so this was sure to be interesting if he caught it.

Eijirou Kirishima.

"Yo."

What is it you shall be-

"Katsuki Bakugou."

What was that?

Kirishima took a deep breath before speaking up, making sure that he announced this beautiful name loud and clear, that he did the person with it some sort of justice.

"Katsuki Bakugou!"

Okay?

"I want to make a guess."

A guess? I'm assuming you know what that means?

"Yes, I do. It's all or nothing. If it's somehow not him... Then I don't want it to be anyone at all."

So, a guess for 'Katsuki Bakugou'.

"Correct."

Ask the full question, then.

"Is my soulmate Katsuki Bakugou?"

Well Eijirou, I hope this is the last time we'll be meeting. Good luck.

"Thanks, mysterious voice dude."

And just like that, he was rather violently shaken awake by a shaken looking Bakugou.

"Dude, what the fuck‽" The blonde questioned, some strange kind of horror on his face. He stepped away from the red head and continued to stare above his head.

"Zero... How the fuck did you spend all of your damn points?" His voice quivered. He didn't know why he cared so much. Well, he did, but he was never going to admit to that on the spot.

"You'll see." Kirishima sat up, surprisingly energetic considering he was abruptly awoken. He was excited. Hopefully he'd find out the answer sooner rather than later.

"Whatever. I'm gonna shower." The blonde then stated, turning around to head to the bathroom so he could do so. After realising he may have overreacted, he tried to tone it down.

As soon as the bathroom door was shut, Bakugou rested his back against it and stared straight forward in complete confusion. Was there a thing that took all of your points in exchange for something? Think Katsuki, think! He tried to rack his brain, remember what it was. For once, he actually regretted never paying attention in classes or whenever people mentioned soulmates.

Whatever. I'll find out at some point. He tried to feign the state of not caring to himself, but it was to no avail. For years he'd been great at blocking off his thought process and just getting on with his life, but now, for the first notable time in 18 years, he just couldn't distract himself.

As he turned the shower on and stepped in, he actually let his thoughts run. It might've been annoying, but it would probably pull his mind out of the anger pit it was bound to be in at least a little bit.

There's something going on with him, and I need to get to the bottom of it. What, so I thought for a minute that he maybe liked me because of the kiss thing. But of course, that fuck wit won't be able to see how this looks from my perspective so he's just doing what he wants. No, that's not Kirishima. Honestly, I don't know what the hell he's thinking.

And if he did like me, then why the fuck would he continue trying to find his soulmate? Hell, he somehow spent every damn one of his points.

But at the end of it, it all came down to one thing. I need to know the reason behind why he kissed me, why he needed me to kiss him, why he was so desperate. After all, he felt it too, right? There's no way he'd do it again after the first time if that feeling wasn't mutual.

He turned the water off and stepped out, satisfied with the conclusion he had come to. He never normally thought too far ahead of anything really, as he believed that part of being a consistent person was decided on what you could do in the moment. However, this time he was determined to barge out of the bathroom and demand answers.

He was aggressively rubbing his hair with the towel, encouraging it to dry quicker when he noticed it. A piece of paper that layed beside the sink and under the mirror, that looked all too familiar.

That must be his answer then.

I shouldn't look.

I shouldn't look.

Fuck it, I'm looking.

Although there was definitely some back and forth conflict going on in his mind, in the end he just couldn't handle the curiosity. What was on that paper was going to give him some sort of context no matter what was on it.

No time was wasted then, since he abruptly picked up the paper and unfolded it as soon as he had a grip.

Yes.

Katsuki scoffed at the sight, getting visibly pissed off. So he asked some sort of question. But this just didn't make sense unless-

Holy shit.

I know what he asked.

At the brief and sudden realisation of what the red head knew, the blonde dropped the paper without a second thought. He grabbed his phone and quickly started typing something into the internet search bar.

As he pressed the enter key, the few milliseconds he had to wait for the page to load felt like a damn lifetime. Although he knew basically what had happened, he needed to jog his memory to be completely certain.

One premise of soulmate searching is guesses. At any time you can make a guess as to the full name of your soulmate. However, every time, it will cost every single one of your points. You ask whether your soulmate is the person you think it is, and your response will make it to you upon waking up. If the person you guessed is correct, then congratulations! Your search is over, all that's left to do now is confront them.

After that, you can kiss that zero above your head goodbye and enjoy truly one of the best parts of life; having someone to just spend it with.

So he knows. He asked if someone specific is his soulmate, and it is. How in the fuck could he possibly figure out anything from what he got? Stupid Kirishima and his stupid fucking luck, I swear to god.

But if it was this easy, then does that mean that it's someone he knows? Someone I know? I fucking hope not.

Whatever, this doesn't change anything... Despite everything. I still need to ask about the kiss, about the situation as a fucking whole.

Just maybe-

No.

Nonono.

I fucking promised myself that I wouldn't do this. It seems too easy, too obvious, the option that seems likely but in the end it won't be true and my expectations will be crushed. Keep them low, Katsuki. It's not you. No matter what, it's not you...

This is the one thing in my life I can't be certain I'll win. It's random chance.

So now he was in some sort of plan b. He'd ask about the kiss, and then give him the piece of paper after he'd been given an explanation. His reactions and explanation would somehow add up to something. If his soulmate and the reason he kissed Bakugou aligned in any way, then it would become apparent here. Kirishima wasn't exactly smart enough to cover stuff up in a way that a lying witness would do in court.

Bakugou tucked the piece of paper into his sweatpants pocket and left the bathroom, still rubbing the small towel on his hair.

"Oi," he spoke as he entered the bedroom once again, noticing how Kirishima was sat cross legged on his bed while staring down at his phone. He never sat like that. "Didn't you say you were gonna fucking explain?" He took a seat on his own bed, eyes not leaving the red head for even a split second.

Kirishima immediately looked up from his phone, his eyes wide as a streak of red shot across his face. It was like he didn't expect that for some reason. Although he knew the feelings Bakugou was having surrounding the kiss, he completely forgot that an explanation would be in order.

"Well..." He checked the time on his phone. It wouldn't be too long before he knew, before he could be completely honest about everything.

After thinking about it, he thought that maybe he felt that way about the kiss because he wanted to feel that way. He was in love with Bakugou after all, so maybe facing the reality that he wasn't his soulmate was too much subconciously for Kirishima to handle.

Bakugou would get pissed at me for having a negative mindset involving myself.

He needed this answer to be sure.

"Yeah, b-but here's the thing... I kinda need like, another hour or so before I can." He scratched the back of his head, expecting exactly what came next.

Bakugou was piecing things together in his head, taking what information Kirishima gave him and comparing it to what he knew. But still, he needed to act how he was expected to act. So he grabbed the pencil case that was on the little table next to his bed and threw it at the red head.

"Hah‽ You said that you'd explain two fuckin' weeks ago. Now I'm left on the damn edge because you need more time?" He was really bad at hiding that it had to do with the soulmate thing.

Bakugou was still stubborn about it being him, but he was still willing to push it, push Kirishima. Maybe it was slightly manipulative, but it was nothing that Kirishima hadn't done when tricking the blonde into tutoring him before.

"Tch, whatever. Your head is probably too in the clouds thinking about your damn soulmate anyway." He layed back on his bed, staring at the ceiling with a hidden smirk on his face. He could feel the irritation that would've caused Kirishima to have.

"Hey, that's not how it is at all!" The red head grit his teeth as his eyebrows furrowed at that response.

"Oh yeah? Well you fucking kissed me and then seconds later you were making guesses about who your shitting soulmate is," This was accidentally too real. Trying to act how he was expected to, he accidently got into it and now he was actually pissed off.

He sat up on his bed again and shot a scowl towards Kirishima, who genuinely looked really hurt. However, he couldn't really blame Bakugou for thinking that way. Maybe he got ahead of himself when kissing him for the second time, but... He just couldn't help it.

"I-" Kirishima tried to interject, but Bakugou wasn't taking any of it.

"And by the way, congratu-fucking-lations." He took the paper out of his pocket and tried his best to throw it but, because it was paper, it just elegantly floated to the ground beside his bed.

"You looked at it‽"

"Well excuuuse me for thinking that maybe I'd be able to piece something together. You would've too if you were in my situation! Don't look at me as if I'm some fucking immoral loser."

"And it said yes‽" His eyes widened and a smile threatened it's way onto his face.

"What the fuck do you think? I hope you're fucking happy together." No, this isn't what he wanted to say. He wanted to sound genuinely happy for his best friend, pat his back and support him as this was clearly important to him. But god, his temper was just being tested.

"Whether we're happy together or not completely depends on you!" Kirishima blurted out. He didn't regret it though and stuck by what he was saying. He was idiotically grinning, his aura rivalling Bakugou's completely.

"What the fuck does it have to do with me?" His voice had lowered now. He knew. He knew it.

He'd known for a long damn time that he was Kirishima's soulmate, but he never let himself explore the idea, no matter what. He didn't trust his gut or his heart, and although he could admit to being in love with Kirishima, taking it any further to something that was based solely on chance was something he just couldn't do. If he let himself do it even a little, he'd get disappointed in the end.

Kirishima stood up from his own bed and strolled over to Bakugou's before kneeling down on one knee in front of him, so it was hard for the blonde to avoid his gaze.

"When we kiss, do you feel sparks?" He asked softly, looking slightly up, that same expression on his face that never failed to settle Bakugou down, even if it was just a little.

Bakugou's heart was racing almost as much as his mind.

What the fuck.

"Being this close, does your heart race?"

What the fuck.

Bakugou was speechless. All he could do was fall into the depth of Kirishima's eyes. What he was saying had almost faded away completely as the only thing he could focus on was the mental and physical beauty of the angel in front of him.

"Does it make you wanna, I don't know-" The almost sly chuckle that wanted to escape was underlying in his words as he moved ever so slightly closer every second.

"Kiss you? Yes it fucking does." Bakugou's breaths became more shallow as this overwhelming urge nearly took over him.

Kirishima gently placed a hand on Bakugou's face and softly rubbed his thumb back and forth. It was an attempt of reassurance, but all it did was clog the blonde's brain more.

What the fuck does this mean?

"The name I asked, was Katsuki Bakugou." His eyes smiled, heart jumping for joy but also in anticipation.

"W-what the fuck‽ How could you be so sure as to ask that‽"

"Even if I wasn't sure, I wouldn't want it to be anyone else! I don't care about losing the damn points. If my soulmate wasn't you, then... I wouldn't have wanted one at all!" Bakugou's eyes just got wider as he took in Kirishima's words. His eyes flicked back and forth between every prominent feature of his face. "At first I thought that finding my soulmate would distract me from my feelings for you or that they'd go away, but they of course didn't. I needed to kiss you because when soulmates kiss, it causes that electric thing we both felt. I got six letters and Sero noticed that they fit your name, so then I put my other clues into that and it just added up. And then after the kiss, I wasn't sure if I felt it because I wanted to or because it actually happened, and I obviously couldn't just ask you. So I made the guess, and here we are now."

"You've been spending too much time with Deku with all that damn rambling." He chuckled. It may have been a ramble but he still picked it all up.

"I wasn't sure how different things would be if it turned out to be true, so I was nervous, bu-"

"Shut your damn mouth. I didn't give a shit for finding my soulmate because I wanted it to be you and the mere chance would get my hopes up. That would just hurt me in the end so I didn't bother taking the risk."

"Thank fuck."

"Hah?"

"I'm just... So happy it's you!" His eyes began tearing at the edges, appreciating the soft skin under his hand.

Bakugou wasn't good with words, with articulating his feelings. Anger was the easiest thing to him and was all he'd trained himself to know as to not show weakness.

Kirishima had remained only a short distance away since he began rambling, which Bakugou became all too aware of as he could feel the soft breath on his lips. The urges he felt from earlier made a comeback, and now he wanted nothing more than to place his lips on Kirishima's again. To place his lips on his soulmate's again.

So with a smirk, he balled his hands into Kirishima's shirt and pulled him up that bit further, roughly connecting their lips as he routinely closed his eyes.

Kirishima hummed in pleasant surprise. He slowly rose from his position kneeled on the floor and gently pushed Bakugou back so that his back was resting on the bed. Their lips disconnected briefly as Kirishima climbed onto the bed so he was leaning over Bakugou, but it didn't last long as the blonde wrapped his arms around Kirishima's neck and pulled him  in again.

They kissed with passion, teeth clashing whenever they smiled too much for their lips to properly be connected. It was a bit of a mess- Bakugou had a hand balled in Kirishima's hair, tugging slightly so that he had at least a little bit of control despite being underneath.

Kirishima had moved one hand to hold himself up and had taken one of Bakugou's hands and interlocked their fingers, holding it down to the bed.

The sparks, the pleasure, the warmth of each others bodies, it was all so welcoming yet almost too much to handle all at once.

Eventually they needed to pull away for air. They were both panting messes, smiling as widely as they could as they looked at the other in the same state.

"Looks like we both don't have any points anymore." Kirishima spoke, referencing the fact that Bakugou's points had disappeared altogether.

"You got that right."

"Hey Bakugou,"

"Hm?"

"I love you, by the way."

"Tch. Likewise, shitty hair."

That's the end of this story! Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! I'm probably gonna go through and edit this, correct all the stuff I might've missed the first time around. I'll probably be posting a new story within the next few days, so stay tuned for that if you like!
