I was told by the blonde that she disliked your face and that she believed your other friend should be put in her place. 

I stood there and nodded, 

until I could escape. 

but when I came to talk to you, you looked at me estranged.  

Dear confidant,  what reason have I to lie?

Dear Gabba (friend), why would I lead you wrong? 

Why must you ignore my warnings? 

For what reason must other people confirm?
