The Traitor in Our Midst

Link's P.O.V.

"Where's Zant?" I asked with urgency. I needed to stop (Y/N) and get the princess back.

"Wait, Link, you're not ready yet." Midna pleaded with me, her eyes filled with concern.

"I don't care!" I yelled rather aggressively, ""Where's Zant? I need the portal!"

Midna looked to the ground. "Unfortunately, Link, he's not here right now. He said he needed to go somewhere to find information to help you control your shadow."

Darn. Where is Zant? I needed him right now. I knew I wasn't ready, but what if something terrible happens. With Zelda not here in Hyrule, there's no telling how long this kingdom will stand on its own.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I heard a knock on the door to the war room as I was sitting in my chair looking at the rope that had absorbed all of Zelda's power. I was quite pleased.

"Come in," I said as I saw Vaati come in.

"(Y/N), I was able to contact my source from the other side and he is here with me right now. Would you like to meet him?"

My demon eyes looked up and met Vaati's. I smiled, "Yes. Please let him in."

I stood to walk closer to the door. I watched as a man with a long cloak, blue skin, and bright yellow eyes walked in. A Twili.

The man's eyes glowed, "Lady (Y/N), pleased to make your acquaintance." The man bowed.

"The pleasure is all mine, Zant."

"You've heard of me?" he asked.

"Of course," I said as I started to walk around the room. "Ganzon told me about a person by the name of Zant that chose to not return to Achlys Valley. So what brings you here now?"

I had to admit, I was very suspicious of this man. I heard that he was controlled by Ganondorf awhile back. And when Zant was free of that control, he decided not to return. But then again, the darkness will always linger in your soul, even when you have convinced yourself that you are free.

"Well, Lady (Y/N), when Link, the Hero of Time, came to me, he said he needed my help to help him get into this valley."

"So what did you do?" I asked.

"I was hesitant at first. I asked him a few questions and he mentioned your name. You have become quite famous (Y/N). Knowing that you were very powerful, I decided to help. They think I have changed, Lady (Y/N), they think I've become free of darkness, but here I am, back in this lovely valley. I've been waiting for the chance to follow a great leader such as yourself. If you'll just let me prove myself worthy--"

I held up my hand abruptly to cut him off, "No need. You have already proven yourself. Just continue to 'help' Midna and Link and keep me updated. Also, I want you to start taking over the world of Twili again."

"Thank you for accepting me. I will do as you say."

"Good. You may take your leave now. We can't have them wondering."

Zant bowed again as he left the room.

"Vaati." I spoke.

"Yes, (Y/N)?"

"I'd like to see our new prisoner. Where is she?" I was about to turn the knob when Vaati spoke.

"(Y/N), Ganzon is currently visiting her right now so I suggest you wait."

"Is he now?" I asked a bit surprised, "I guess I'll wait then."

Vaati's P.O.V.

"I will take my leave now," I said as I exited the room. As soon as I was a good distance away, I exhaled a deep, long breath.

"That was close," I spoke softly. Skull Kid walked passed me. "Vaati," he greeted, "Did (Y/N) ask about Zelda?"

I sighed, "Yeah, she did. But I told her that Ganzon was visiting her right now."

Skull Kid sweat dropped, "Phew. Ganzon was about ready to kill us earlier."

I shook my head and nodded. Apparently Ganzon didn't like where we put Zelda so he was ready to kill us within seconds. Rather irrational just for putting someone in a place he didn't want her in.

Flashback

Skull Kid and I had placed Zelda in a cell next to a family of four and another cell with a body that looked like to be fast asleep.

We exited the dungeon and was greeted by Ganzon.

"Skull Kid. Vaati. I heard that you have captured Zelda. Where is she? I would like to see her," he said with authority.

"Oh," Skull Kid said, "She's in the cell inbetween that one family of three and the one with the sleeping girl in it. Zelda is still unconscious ,  but--"

Ganzon's features became extremely tense, and if he were a dragon, I'm pretty sure he would've been breathing fire.

"You put her there?" he roared, "Idiots! Move her right now!"

Skull Kid and I were scared out of our wits and confused at the same time. "But, Sir, that was the only free cell."

He continued to rage, "You were lucky this time, but next time you better watch out. I'm placing her in the highest tower. Do not tell (Y/N) that she was relocated. If she asks, Zelda was always there. No questions asked."

"But, Sir," I interrupted which I regretted as he almost choked me to death.

"No questions asked," he hissed as he released his grip and walked off.

I coughed while trying to catch my breath.

"What's his problem?" Skull Kid said as he came to my side.

End of Flashback

Ganzon's P.O.V.

Those two imbeciles almost gave away my cover. Putting Zelda next to the family of four and the sleeping person. Tch. That family of four was (Y/N)'s family and that sleeping person was (S/N)'s empty shell. Now I can't have (Y/N) seeing that now, can I?

My plans would be ruined and she'd turn against me. I needed to use her first before 'helping' her find her sister.

This is too easy. Both of the sisters were too gullible. It's sad really.

I bit of a piece of my apple and looked out the window. I saw (Y/N), Skull Kid, and Vaati training by the front.

As long as (Y/N) never enters that dungeon, she'll never know the truth. Her family's been right under her nose the entire time but she was too dumb to realize.

I started to laugh. It's too bad she doesn't realize that her sister was right under get fingertips the entire time as well. How pathetic.
