I hiss out softly as Sissy gently clips the gauze in place, packing up the medical equipment and getting up to put the box away after she patched me up. "Thank you so much Sissy." She smiles at me, chuckling softly.

"Wow, you look like an adorable mummy." she giggles softly and I look at myself in the mirror. She was right, my whole body was almost wrapped up from the shoulders down. The patches on my body disintegrated like it did before with the fight with Vanya back in New York, small holes reappearing as whatever Vanya gave me to keep me alive for Dallas went back to her.

"I'd say that's a step up than looking like a Frankenstein." I chuckle, looking down at Harlan next to me as he slept.

"I know that we barely know each other, but I want to thank you for protecting my baby." Sissy sits down next to me on the bed, brushing away her son's hair gently.

"Always Sissy. I will always protect the people my family loves." Vanya soon walks in and I get up to give them time to talk.

"How are you feeling?" Vanya looks over me carefully, frowning but I smile at her to ease her that I feel better after waking up from my small nap.

"I'm feeling fine." She hesitantly nods as I gently move her to sit down with Sissy and I leave the room. The air around us was quiet and almost tranquil. Doomsday was finally gone and now everyone was sitting in silence, trying to process everything. There was a calm but sad and lonesome feeling around us, regret but also relief. Forgiveness yet also yearning. Nostalgia and longing. Death yet the luck of being alive after another long battle.

I walked out of the bedroom to see Klaus sitting on the floor as he stared at Dave's dog tags, a sad smile on his face as he kissed the precious metals.

I walked into the kitchen to see Luther try and call his boss, someone he respected and enjoyed working for after he managed to give him a sense of purpose.

I see Allison sitting at the dining table behind Luther, staring at a Polaroid photograph of her and her husband on their wedding day.

I walked outside to see Vanya laying her head on Diego's shoulder as she heartbreakingly watches Sissy's car drive off away.

Everyone was in a depressed mood and I sighed out, looking up at the night sky as Five stood next to me. "This is really it huh?" he whispers, his hands shoved in his pockets

"Yeah. It almost feels surreal. Like none of this ever happened. Like it's a dream." We stand in silence for a few heartbeats and I turn to look at him. He was looking at me with a heartbroken look, knowing what I was about to say. "I have to go home Five-"

"-no please don't-"

"-you know I don't belong here. Or in your 2019 like how you're not meant to be here in 1963." he clenches his jaw and turns away. "You need to try and open a portal for me Five." He sighs in defeat, walking off away from me down the steps with a briefcase in hand as his siblings quickly follow him.

"Everyone ready?" Five says softly as we all stand in a circle.

"Let's do it, yeah." Luther nods.

"Wait!" Klaus suddenly yells out and quickly goes to grab the cowboy hat that was sitting on the porch before coming back. Five looks at me briefly and holds his arm up to have my hold him before he clicks open the briefcase. I heave out a long breath, closing my eyes and readying myself for the unknown. I hear the familiar sound of electricity crackling, wind whipping around us and a bright light blinding me behind my eyelids.

"Shit!" I stumble back when my hip collided against the table back at the Hargreeves mansion, having finally teleported back successfully. Everyone else was groaning in pain and discomfort of time travelling, some of them even dry hagging but I was fine.

I'm surprised I'm not doing it.

Hey, that means I'm used to it! Great!

I pick up the newspaper that was sitting in front of me on the table, grinning at the date. "Ladies and gentlemen, we've done it. It's April 2nd, 2019!"

"The day after the apocalypse." Five grins at me softly, holding my hand and kissing the back of it making me flush.

"You officially stopped the apocalypse." I breathe out from the lightweight feeling.

"Did we... actually succeed at something?" Klaus gasps out and I nod. "That's incredible!"

"I'm in the mood to drink. Who's in?" I ask and everyone agrees happily and I run into the large living room to see Reggie standing there. "Hey Mr Hargreeves, it's nice to see you again." He raises a brow at me but sends a smile my way as his kids walk into the living room.

"I knew you'd show up eventually."

"Dad." Diego gasps.

"You're alive." Luther mutters out in shock.

"Why shouldn't I be?"

"Cause you offed yourself to bring your kids together to stop the first apocalypse." Everyone shushes me and I raise my hands up. "Ok, I'll shut up!"

"I'm just happy that we're home and... together again." Klaus says.

Reggie smiles at me. "I made a promise and I always keep my promises." I salute him and everyone all hugs in joy.

Reggie is not that bad of a guy.

He's pretty cool.

I walk over to Reggie and I hug him, catching him off guard. "Thank you for not abandoning them." he softly pats my head.

"Of course dear." I lean back and I look at everyone drinking and celebrating.

"I guess it's time to say goodbye then." I look up at Reggie as he cleans his monocle, putting it back on. I watched everyone converse and just enjoy each other's presence but I stood on the sidelines, realising how I didn't fit here. Five looks over at me from the bar with a grim face and I walk over to him. "Five, it's time..." he slams his glass down, looking away as he gripped his glass deathly tight. "Five please... I need to go home"

"(Y/n), what are you talking about?" Vanya asks and I look at her sadly.

"I have to go home Vanya."

Everyone stands up suddenly, looking at me with wide eyes. "NO!"

"I have to go back. You know I can't stay here." Five gets up hesitantly and I notice his eyes were glazed over.

"Please don't go..." he begs me with a whisper and I hold his cheeks, wiping away the stray tears as he held my hands. I gave him a sad smile and he shook his head, not wanting to let me go.

"I wish I could stay." I take a step back and he reaches for me before dropping his hands in defeat, a deep frown set on his face. He sighs out and walks to the middle of the living room for space.

"I don't want to do this." Five says as he looks up at me but he knows he has to, clenching his fists and focusing on opening up a portal. The wind whips around us violently as a flash of blue erupts, lightning crackling in a circular motion and we see into a small modern apartment.

"Are you... Are you actually going?" Klaus mutters out sadly and everyone looks at me with grim faces.

"I'm sorry Klaus." I respond bac making him pout.

"This is actually goodbye?" Diego asks with a frown and I nod.

"Will we see you again?"

"I don't think so Luther."

Everyone suddenly rushes over to me and traps me in a group hug, squeezing me in the middle and I chuckle as they fought over saying goodbye to me. I look over to see Allison standing idly by and I beam at her. "Come over here!" She smiles and runs towards me, jumping on us. "Ok... Can't... breathe..." Everyone quickly jumps off me and I turn around to see Five staring at the ground. "Five?" he looks up at me and I jump him, hugging him tightly and he holds onto me tightly.

"You don't know how much I'm going to miss you (y/n). I'm going to miss you so much." he sighs into my shoulder, wrapping his arms around my waist tightly and I hook mine around his neck.

"I'm going to miss you too Five. So much. I won't ever forget you." I mumble against his shoulder, grasping his blazer to feel him one last time and to try and remember what it felt to be in his arms before I left him.

"There's no way I could ever forget you even if I tried." he leans back from, chuckling softly.

"Smooth talker huh?" I grin and Fibe rolls his eyes playfully at me before letting me go, setting me back down on my feet. I walk over to stand in front of the portal, peering and seeing my mum and my sister get home.

It's the same time the moment I got teleported here.

It's like time never moved there.

I look behind me to see everyone crying softly and I couldn't help but shed some of my own. "I won't ever forget any of you. I love you guys." I stutter out and Five reaches over to me, holding my hand.

"(y/n)! We're home!" I sob out hearing my mum call out for me. Oh god, I missed her so much. I was itching to give her a hug. Mum and my sister walked in, my sister just suddenly talking about the drama that happened at her school. I look back at the Hargreeves one last time, smiling at them.

"Thank you for everything guys." I mutter out as I keep my memories of them with me. I look over at Five especially, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek before letting him go and walking through the portal.

"(y/n) no!" Five cries out, trying to reach for me but the portal closes forever behind me.

Goodbye.
