1-Transparent Glowing Text
Sometimes I have people asking how I do the effect of having the text glow and also be transparent at the same time. Here's a step by step way of how I do it!
Do note that I use ibisPaint for my editing.
1: Have your text. Make sure that the colour is light.
2: Create a shadow. The colour must be significantly darker than the original colour for the text.
3: Duplicate the text layer, and merge the second text layer with the shadow layer, and then set the blending mode to 'multiply'.
4: After setting it to multiply, have the first text layer be set to 'add'. As seen in the image above, you are able to change the percentage clarity of your layer. Mess around with both 'add' and 'multiply' layers until you find the right percentage that fits the background.
Background is from the game Azur Lane.
Nowadays, I like using two layers of the 'multiply' layer so that the shadow behind the text is clearer. For me, I usually go with the percentages 60-80, 100, 100 for my add, multiply, multiply layers. Of course, it depends on the background that you're using, but I find that these numbers fit quite well.
Formatting is a little weird for now as I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it. Please bear with me as I try to make it better haha.
I hope this helps!
