LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES AND TELL ME THAT AINT SAM

   Danny woke up slowly. He moaned softly and curled up tighter. He didn't want to wake up now. He was so comfortable.

After a time, the boy realized he wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon and he cracked open his eyes.

A green light flooded into his eyesight and he blinked. A blue and purple haze was what he saw. He knew those were the pillows and cloths that Desiree kept here and preferred. Many humans and ghosts lay sprawled on the pillows.

A lot were up and talking or getting ready.

Danny let go of the pillow he had been hugging and stretched his back, trying to shake the drowsiness off.

"Boo!"

The halfa yelped and jumped in the air. He turned around with wide eyes to see two figures under sheets shaking with laughter.

Danny huffed, already knowing who was playing 'ghost' here. "Haha. Very funny."

Cujo saw him floating and came over to greet him.

One figure lifted the blanket to reveal Dorian. He cracked a grin. "Daniel, you turned into your ghost form."

Danny blinked and looked down to see it was true. "I- it's an automatic reaction, ok? Stop it. Ugh." He gave up and dropped out of the air. He let the rings envelop his body and turn him back human.

"So that's how you do it?"

Danny jumped at a new voice and the rings appeared again. He cursed and forced them back together.

Mikey's eyes glittered as he leaned forward. "That's amazing."

Danny brushed his clothes straight and made his way down of the pillows. "Yeah yeah. So is everyone up?"

Another sheet came flying over. Richard lifted the blanket. His face alight with a sneaky grin. "It worked, guys!"

Dani gasped and her voice was heard under the purple blanket. "It did? What happened?"

Richard looked back and paled. "Don't ask just...ruuuuun!!" He threw the sheet back on and ran away.

Dorian glanced at Danny. "Now they're all up."

Dorian and Dani dispersed before James ran up.

He looked around with a red face. He glanced at Danny, who was looking on with amusement. "Where did they go?"

Danny shrugged. "Who?"

James waved his arms. "The- the ghosts. Where are they?!" He spotted something and ran off. A squeal was heard and lots of shouting and laughing.

Danny saw Desiree enter and he quickly flew towards her, narrowly avoiding the running students. "Hey."

Desiree gave him one wary glance. "Hello. I'm guessing you're all ready to go?"

Danny quickly looked over his friends and nodded. "Yeah just give me a sec." He flew up and cupped his mouth with his hands. "Hey guys!! Hey!!"

They glanced up at him.

"Get ready cuz after breakfast we're leaving." Danny flew down to his dad. "Can you get us some food, dad?"

Jack confused Danny by laughing. "Right away, sir." He ruffled the boy's hair and made his way to the ship.

Everyone sat on the floor in another room as food was passed out.

Dani was messing around with Desiree.

Danny felt a pang of jealousy when he saw the fun they were having. He hasn't spent enough time with his cousins the last few months.

Don't worry, he reassured himself, soon they'll be your siblings and you'll wish you could have a few minutes alone.

Dash frowned at the same food they had been eating for the past few days. "Can't we eat something else? We have a literal genie in a lamp right here."

Sam snorted back a chuckle and Tucker waved at him. "Sure dude. Knock yourself out. Ask her anything. She has to grant every wish she hears."

Dash turned to Desiree, who narrowed her eyes at him. "I wish....I wish forrrrrr." His eyes lit up. "...a cake."

Desiree smirked and held out her hand. Mist approached Dash and swirled in the air in front of him. A cake formed and Dash grinned.

Kwan leaned in. "Ooooh. Sharing is caring, bro."

Suddenly the cake moved. It opened what looked like a mouth and tried to bite Dash's hand off.

The blond screamed and scrambled away as the cake hopped after him. "Kwan!! It's all yours."

Kwan looked on. "No thanks. I'm full all of a sudden."

Dani was laughing hard and Desiree chuckled creepily.

Dash screamed something. "I wish the cake would disappear!!"

And poof! It was gone.

Dash stopped and sighed in relief. It didn't last long as something bit him in the backside. He yelled and ran around as he tried to shake off the now invisible cake. "I wish it went away. Make it stop!!"

The cake left completely but the damage was done. Dash's backside hurt and it was slightly ripped. He whimpered and sat down a he rubbed it. "Hey Danny? You know you're my best pal right?"

Danny laughed. "I'm not going to heal you, man. This is completely your fault. Be a man and take it."

Dash huffed and glared at Desiree. "I... I wish for a cake that doesn't eat me alive."

Danny gasped and jumped. "No! Nonono. Desiree!!! I wish you don't grant Dash's deathwish!!"

The wishing ghost pouted but stopped. "Fine. You take the fun out of everything."

Danny turned towards a confused Dash. "And you," he growled. "Be careful what you wish for."

Sam sighed. "That was almost one problem less."

Danny frowned at her and she shrugged.

Dash put his chin on his hands and thought. "I wish for a cake that doesn't eat me but I can eat."

Desiree exchanged glances with Dani, who giggled. The ghost held up a hand and a cake formed in front of Dash.

Dash's elated face fell. It was a mud cake. "I can't eat this!"

"Of course you can," Desiree replied smugly. "Although it might not be the best for your health so I would strongly recommend it."

His face went red as Dani lost it. Many students followed her and soon everyone was cracking up.

Dash buried his face in his hands. "I give up."

Andrew's mouth was salivating at so many talks about cake. He sighed. "Man. I wish I had a cake like Dani's."

Everyone gasped in shock when they saw a perfectly normal cake appear in front of Andrew. Sheldon smiled at the elated boy. He knew Andrew had thought this through.

Andrew looked up at Desiree. "Thank you!"

Desiree smiled brightly. She liked the boy in a way. And she loved messing with the other blond.

Dash stared openmouthed. He crossed his arms. "Well I wish for Dani's cake too."

Desiree scowled at him and another pastry appeared in front of the boy. He grinned and brought his knife down to stab it. Suddenly the cake moved.

Dash blinked and tried to grab it but it slid out of his reach.

It slid away from the jock's groping hands and towards Dani, who happily got a piece and pushed it in her mouth.

"But- but how?" Dash asked.

Desiree smirked. "Dani's cake can only be eaten by Dani herself and whoever she invites. If not that'd be rude and cheating."

"But you've been cheating this whole time!!!"

She shook her head. "I've granted every single one of your wishes."

Something incoherent left Dash's mouth and Danny shook his head as he finished his food. "Let it go, Dash. She's had hundreds of years of practice. You stand no chance."

Desiree huffed. "You have no idea how many people only wish for personal gain. I learned how to bypass that. Everyone is selfish," she snapped. Then her face softened and she hugged Dani close. "Except for you, Danielle."

The girl giggled and Danny humphed. He understood why she thought that but that was far from the truth. Most had someone they cared about. Usually family. Someone who has been with them long enough for them to grow on the person. Even terrorist leaders had someone. If people don't, they spend their lives, consciously or unconsciously, looking for someone to care for.

Of course there was a small handful that had gone completely crazy and blood thirsty but that kind doesn't just grow on trees. Unless the tree was trampled on and ripped at and blasted at until it was a pitiful pile of rubbish.

But we already established we would simpatize with that and punish whoever caused the damage.

Maddie clapped her hands and stood up. "Alright kids. Let's get going and fix the Fenton Space Craft!"

The students piled the disposable plates up and a few stumbled their way into the ship, trying not to spill any plates.

Everyone said their goodbyes to Desiree, who was pleasantly surprised that no one made any last minute wishing.

If I were there I'd wish for so many things, mostly selfish but not all. Of course.

Maddie stayed to talk and find out where Technus lived, or more importantly, where his workshop was. Turns out he works close to the metal dump. Anything made of that material was thrown there, which included all kinds of mechanical objects.

Maddie thanked her and turned to the students. "It's not too far. We'll be there in no time. Dani, say goodbye to your friend."

Dani pouted at the woman. "Can I still visit her?"

Maddie sighed and breathed a small chuckle. "I'm guessing everyone will want to visit their ghost friends. And Danny will be getting two ghost pets. Yes, you can visit her."

"Yay!" Dani hugged Desiree, who grinned.

Danny was shocked. "Wait...can I keep Leroy and Cujo? Really?!"

Maddie put up a finger. "Only one at a time. One humongous pet in the house is enough-" she was cut off when Danny wrapped his arms around her.

"Thanks mom," he mumbled.

The other students were gushing about what she said. They could come back to the Ghost Zone?! That would be amazing!!

But nobody was sure about what the government would say if they heard of all that happened in the trip. It was more dangerous than they had thought.

If anyone survived long enough to go back and tell them.

Stephanie barked at Dani, frustrated that she wasn't getting much attention. The girl grinned and petted the wolf fondly as she told Desiree about her and her siblings' adoption.

Danny was bouncing around. Cujo dancing around him.

Sam snickered. "I see two happy puppies. What do you see?" She looked at Leroy, who was sitting there looking at the two goofballs. He snorted.

It took awhile but all the humans stacked up in the ship. The clones mounted and Danny flew up. He waved at Desiree and after a pause she responded.

Chelsea, who had somehow convinced Danny's mom to let her travel on Blackjack (probably because she's the only one that can keep him under control), gestured for the rest to hurry up. "Come on, people. Pick it up!"

The ship turned on, which was felt by all the ectoplasmic beings in the area. It hummed with power as it floated up.

Danny gulped as they took off, this time the ghosts following the ship.

Let's hope Technus has the solution.

(Secretly hopes we get new epjsodes because everyone knows butch had a whole plot planned out and Phantom planet was just a crappy story crammed together as he tried to show it all in the little amount lf time he had bc friking Nickelodeon cut him off without reason!!!)
