Come at me bro

Hi

Jack dropped the ghost and kneeled on the ground. His hand hovered above the wound, as if debating whether to clench his side in pain, but knowing it would just harm him more.

"Jack!!" Maddie yelled and flew forward. She passed the ghost her husband had just dropped intangibly and turned around to face the ghost's back. She went back tangible and grabbed the ghost. She swung it over her head and into the ground hard. It fell with a smack.

Then she turned to the ghost with the bow. It flinched under her glare but held up another arrow.

Tucker grit his teeth and yanked the bow from his hands. The ghost yelped but before he could get it back Tucker had flown off with it.

The female ghost hunter ran forwards, not even thanking Tucker, and punched the ghost so hard he rocketed back like a bullet and splattered against the inside of the shield.

The hunters outside yelled and pounded against the shield, trying to get in.

Danny frowned and reinforced it. He tried to get to his dad.

Sam crouched in front of the man in pain. "Try phasing out of it," she offered.

He tried but could only flicker intangible for a second, the arrow they were trying to remove going intangible too.

Jack gasped. He shook his head. "I can't. It's ok." He stood up. "This ghost scum has to do more than that to bring Jack Fenton down."

"Jack," Maddie pleaded, "take it easy. We should remove the arrow. Danny can heal it later."

Danny nodded his head to confirm it. He quickly transported the ectobubble he had made towards the ship. He felt it grow weaker and knew he was close. Eventually the ghosts dispersed from the right to show the ship eight meters from where they stood.

Danny grinned. "Richard! There's an opening to your right. Get out through there and into the ship. You'll be safe once you're inside. The others will follow."

And sure enough, once they stood four meters away, the ectoplasm on the right disappeared.

Richard waved at the hunters pounding on the shield and made his way to the opening.

Sam crossed her arms. "Danny, there's no way I'm leaving you."

Tucker nodded fiercely. "Besides, your cousins need protection too."

"Actually."

Everyone looked up to see a hunter at the opening. "None of you are leaving."

Danny's eyes widened. It was impossible for a ghost to stand that close to the ship. He held up a hand and shot on instinct.

The ectoblast flew towards the hunter and.....passed right through!

The ghost had gone intangible!

But ghosts don't have those powers in the Ghost Zone. Unless.

"Who- who are you?" Danny questioned, perplexed.

The hunter smiled. "I, as you probably have guessed, am a human."

The humans gasped, shocked.

The crowds stilled when they saw the reinforcements had arrived and backed up a little. A bigger ghost spoke up. "Surprised? Our organization of hunters is not only made out of ghosts."

Another snorted. "That would be racist."

The first one continued. "Allow me to present ourselves. We are the Bi-Zonial Collectors of Unique Species."

Danny blinked. "Sooo in short BZCOUS."

The ghost Maddie had first thrown on the ground held up his head. "No no, Bi-Zonial is one word."

Danny nodded and tried again. "BCOUS."

Raise your hand if you tried pronouncing it out loud

Dash scrunched his nose. "That's a horrible name."

Richard scratched his head. "What about Hunters and Co. Or Prey Beware."

A ghost leaning against the shield shook his head. "That sounds too much like the Box Ghost."

Tucker nodded. "It wouldn't be intimidating that way. What aboooout Hunting Unique...someone give me something with an N."

"Nachos," another ghost said. Tucker gave him an exasperated look.

"Nature?" A ghost offered.

Tucker grinned. "Hunters of Unique Nature Team or in other words. The HUNT."

A big hunter snapped his fingers and pointed one at Tucker. "I like this kid."

There was a murmur of approval and the hunter that had introduce them exploded. "OUR NAME IS NOT AN ACRONYM."

The one beside him shrugged. "We could change it."

"WE ARE NOT CHANGING IT. IT'S GOOD AS IT IS NOW."

Others nodded to this.

"Can we get back to capturing the halfa?"

This snapped them back to attention. The glared at the boy in question. The tension that had disappeared during their conversation came back stronger.

"As I was saying," the human began. "We are the Bi-Zonial Collectors of Unique Beings. Bi-Zonial meaning two zones. We are an organization of collectors, both ghosts and humans. It gives us advantages. As now, for instance, I can walk right through your shield. I have powers. I can even," he pointed at the ship behind him, "approach and enter this vehicle of yours without a problem. We have you in our claws, halfa. Give yourself up and we won't harm your friends."

Danny stood frozen. The shield flickered for a moment but came back before any ghosts could enter. He bit his lip and inspected the crowd. Too many, was his only thought. Way too many. And more humans will be joining soon, if my guess is right and they are communicating.

Jack grunted and stumbled towards his son. He placed a heavy hand on his shoulder.

Danny looked up, face creased in fear. Danny didn't want his friends and family hurt more than they are now but he was terrified of what would happen to him if he gave himself up. They would lower him to a pet, kill him, stuff him, raise him as a trophy.

Jack smiled a pained smile.

Danny relaxed. He could tell what his dad was trying to say.

We are here for you.

The halfa looked around.

Tucker, Sam, Valerie, mom, David, Dani, Dorian, Damien, Cujo, Stephanie, maybe even the rest of his schoolmates.

The black haired boy smiled and nodded. They nodded back.

They could do this.

Easy peasy.

They took a deep breath and Danny turned his smirk towards the human. "You want me? Come and get me."

The human hunter didn't need to be told twice and rushed forward, sword in hand. He yelled and swung it down.

Danny dodged and punched him on the stomach. He then left Valerie to deal with him.

The hybrid turned to the others. "Mom, Tucker, protect the ship. Get students that can fight to help too. They won't be of much use inside the ship. Dash go with them. Richard and Sam, help me protect my cousins and our ghosts. Valerie will stay too." They nodded and split.

Danny turned to his dad. "Let me heal you. You can't fight like this."

Jack nodded.

The halfa grabbed the arrow as gently as he could and turned it intangible. His dad gasped at the movement but tried to stay still. Danny phased it out and quickly covered the bleeding wound with his hand.

He would have to do this quick. He couldn't hold up such a large shield, and control the frost at the same time. The halfa opened his core and let the frost travel up his arm and pour out.

It covered the wound quickly. Danny made sure it reached deep and healed the internal organs as well, not only the skin. This took much concentration on his part but was done in three seconds.

He stopped the flow and removed his hand, leaving healthy skin behind.

Jack grinned as he touched it. He hugged Danny. "Thank you, son."

Then they heard a shout and noticed that the shield, their only protection against the bloodthirsty ghostly hunters out there, had disappeared.

They started pouring in. Jack stood straight and held up his fists. He looked back at his son and grinned sloppily. "I hope this won't be a one time occurrence son."

Danny frowned as he blasted two away. "What do you mean?"

Jack kicked one back and pulled Danny out of the way of a shot missile. The missile exploded against another ghost instead. "Oh you know. You and your old man, kicking away at some ghosts and going ghost hunting. When we're back home, I expect you to call me as soon as you see one."

Danny snorted. "Sure. I just hope you won't be catching me instead."

Stephanie growled and snapped her jaws at whatever ghost dared to get five feet from Dani. Dani herself tried to be as useful as she could without transforming. Damien had warned her not to.

Said brother was punching at hunters. He was strong and had muscles to show it. David wasn't sure what to do. He had muscles to show too but not the healthy type. He settled on distracting ghosts here and there so Damien could get a shot.

Dorian flew around in wild panic. He had to help! So much fighting. So many people defending themselves. It was driving him crazy. He saw his cousin's mother, Samantha and their blond friend, his name escaped him, fly in the ship and get out weapons to use against the hunters. They didn't have to protect it yet, given that the only human hunter was kept busy by Valerie. Dorian only knew her name through what Dani had said about her. Tucker and the other boy were fighting off the ghosts trying to get close to his brothers and sister.

But most of the fight was centered around Daniel and his father. They attacked from left and right. Daniel and Jack were able to counterattack but how long could they keep this up?

Dorian knew he couldn't transform to full form. Daniel's secret would be ruined. But he couldn't do much in this form. What was a small, glowing light to do?

Valerie grunted. She was good at fighting, no doubt about it. But she would be ten times more useful if she were in her suit.

The man punched her face and she was thrown back. She held her bleeding nose as her eyes watered. The hunter grinned an was about to stomp her head when he was punched in the back. It was a well placed and hard punch that knocked him out immediately.

Valerie looked up gratefully to see Tucker rubbing his fist. He smiled at her. "Need a hand?"

Valerie accepted his stretched out hand and stood up. She wiped the tears from her eyes and the blood from her nose.

Tucker didn't look that fresh either, all covered in bruises as he was.

Valerie scowled at her surroundings. "I need to transform. It'll be better that way."

Tucker nodded, understanding. "I'll make you a way. Get out of sight and come back as soon as you can."

Valerie smiled, relieved, and nodded. "Thanks, Tuck."

The boy told her to wait as he fought his way to the ship. There he got two guns pushed to his awaiting hands. He gave one to Richard on the way back to Valerie.

Valerie and Tucker blasted their way through the crowd. There was too much a scuffle so nobody cared if two humans got away. They had a whole ship of them anyway.

A scream was heard from behind them. Barely heard above all the other yelling.

Tucker winced. "You can go on without me from here, right?"

Valerie looked around and noticed an opening. She nodded. "Go back. I'll be there as soon as I can."

He smiled and left.

She saw him disappear before her attention was snapped back to the ghosts around her. She swung and hit someone with a thick stick she had picked up. The girl went intangible at moments but the hunters seemed to have human weapons too. The Red Huntress will have to upgrade her suit.

She was able to get out and she ran away from the last ones. They stayed on her heels and the ground ended in front of her. Swimming away wouldn't be fast enough.

She realized what she could do. She ran at the abyss and jumped, setting off from the edge.

She concentrated and felt herself gain speed. She was flying!

A few ghosts behind her toppled over and stayed floating and struggling in the air. After all, ghosts can't fly in the Ghost Zone. Only hang weightless in the spaces between islands and try to swim.

Valerie saluted them and the few ghosts standing sent rockets after her, which she dodged easily. They gave up and turned back to the main fight.

Valerie landed on the first island she found. It was a huge Greek temple made of marble. Valerie wondered who lived here.

She hoped she wouldn't have to find out. She was only here to catch her breath.

Valerie could see the fight from here. The amount of hunters seemed smaller than when they were almost on top of her.

Then she spotted something in the distance. Reinforcements. Flying at top speed. Which could only mean one thing.

More human hunters.

Valerie grit her teeth. She wouldn't let them get Danny. She had seen Skulker's catch and knew what hunters were capable of. She should know. She's a huntress herself. Of course she didn't have rugs made out of the skin of prey she had caught. Or stuffed beings she had captured.

She only had had eye for Phantom.

Valerie shivered.

The memories of the thoughts she had had. The fantasies that would play in her mind about what she would do to Phantom once he was within her grasp. Torture was in the top of her list.

She wasn't sure if she would have gone through with it. But it was still appalling.

She didn't want that on Phantom anymore. Nor any other being, human or ghost. Not from her. Not from these hunters.

Valerie tapped her bracelet and felt the armor fasten around her. Her helmet appeared and her vision darkened. Somehow, she could see clearer in this.

Suddenly she jumped when she heard something behind her.

She turned around and gasped as she was met with the sight of a green ghost with slithering snakes for hair.

"WHO DARES ENTER MEDUSA'S TEMPLE."
