Chapter 2: Archer vs Rider
Thalia was growing tired. She and her fellow Hunters have been fighting for the past 6 hours nonstop. She pushed her spear into a hellhound, before summoning a bolt of lightning and struck a cyclops. Sending both monsters to the Pit.
"The daughter of Zeus," a female monster stated, the sound of hissing snakes coming from her head. "Tell me, where is the son of Poseidon?"
"Go to hell," Thalia told Medusa. "I won't tell you where he is!"
"You don't have to."
A tall man with green eyes that have steel grey in them and black hair with white tips walked forward. He had a dark blue sleeveless shirt on with a long sleeved a black body armor made from chaos silver, which consisted of a black tight and sleeveless shirt with silver accents which outlined his muscles and a metal plate on his collar, and black pants that had two black straps on his thighs, and another two strapped around his shins separate from each other. His shoes were black with metal plates, which appear to be attached to his trousers. His red coat is a type of d which are two separate sleeves connected by a metal plate at the back which covered his arms and was cut off showing his upper torso and midriff, and had a separate red open skirt which ended above his shins with the top fashioned and tied with an agemaki knot, covered by a silver metal plate.
"Because I am right here."
"P-Percy?" Thalia's eyes went wide at seeing Percy's clothing and his new looks. "What happened to you?"
"Not now Lancer," Medusa sneered. "This is between Rider and Archer."
Percy's eyes narrowed.
"So you are Rider," the son of Poseidon said, his voice cold and sharp as steel. "Tell me Rider, what are you going to do?"
"I will kill you and then find Saber and that golden bastard," Medusa replied casually.
"I can't let you do that," Percy told her. "For a few reasons, but the main one is this: I will not let you harm Saber as long as I live."
Medusa smirked.
"We'll see about that, Archer," Medusa replied, before a dagger appeared in her hand.
"Before we begin," Percy started. "What if I told you that you could get your humanity back?"
This stopped Medusa.
"What do you mean Archer?" she asked. "No one, not even Kronos can undo my curse!"
"What about the one who reincarnated us?" Percy asked, looking a bit smug.
Medusa's eyes widen, as did everyone else's when they heard him speak.
"S-She would do that?" Medusa asked, her eyes wide. "She would help me... No. Why would she waste her time on us? She and Zelretch brought us here for entertainment, Archer, nothing else."
Percy sighed.
"That they did," Percy agreed. "That they did."
Two swords then appeared in his hands. One was white and the other black, but both were of Chinese design. These were the married swords: Kanshou and Bakuya.
"Are you ready, Rider?" Percy asked as he brandished both his blades.
Medusa smirked and the sound of chains rattling resounded throughout the area.
"Yes I am Archer," Medusa spat.
"Thalia," Percy began his eyes not leaving Medusa. "Leave. Take the Hunters and go."
"But Percy-"
"Now Thalia!" Percy shouted at her.
Thalia looked at her cousin in shock.
"I would listen to him, daughter of Zeus," Medusa spoke. "You will not want to be anywhere close to this fight."
"I expect some answers later then," Thalia said to her cousin.
"I'll try to answer as many questions as I can," Percy told her. "Now go. It's time I finish Rider off for good."
Thalia then ran off in the opposite direction, with the Hunters of Artemis following her.
"Now that we are alone," Medusa said, before dashing forwards. "Our fun can begin."
Medusa threw one of her daggers and Percy blocked the dagger.
"Agreed," the son of Poseidon replied.
Percy then kicked Medusa Spartan style, and summoned a dozen swords before launching them at the Rider Class opponent. Jumping up, and launching off the head of a cyclops, Medusa managed to escape the swords, which struck the monsters that were around her instead.
Medusa scoffed.
"Is that all you can do Archer?" she asked. "If it is, I'll be disappointed."
"Not even close Rider," Percy replied, his eyes never leaving her. "But I am not going to use my full power against you. I am saving that for your boss."
Medusa smirked.
"What's so funny, Rider?" Percy asked.
"It's funny that you think I'm working for Kronos," Medusa smirked. "I'm working for someone far, far more powerful than the Titan Lord."
"Who are you working for Rider?" Percy asked as his bow appeared in his hand.
"The earth, Archer," Medusa replied, forming another nameless dagger in her hand. "That is who I am working for."
"The earth?" Percy asked, confused. "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, Archer," Medusa replied, jumping into the air and throwing one of her daggers at the son of Poseidon.
Percy rolled to the side and, as he came into kneeling position on one knee, he shot an 'arrow' at the woman before uncapping his main weapon in this lifetime, and deflecting a second dagger that was thrown. But at the same time, the 'arrow' was lodged in her thigh.
"You can't move any more, Rider," Percy commented. "Not with that 'arrow' in your thigh. Give up."
"Never," Medusa spat. "We both know what is coming after this war, Archer. Me, you, Saber and Lancer. That is four of the seven classes. Even if they haven't regained their memories yet, they will. And when it happens, when we meet the other three, we will have our war. Nothing will stop it from happening! Nothing!"
"Not even gods will stop it," Percy agreed. "Not even Chaos or any of the Primordials or any of the other pantheons. For it is a war between mortals, between Demigods. But I have a feeling that this one is going to be different."
For a moment, Medusa seemed to think on Percy's words. Before her eyes widened and she smirked.
"It's my leave, Archer," Medusa stated. "I'll see you after this war."
"Not gonna finish our fight?" Percy asked.
"No, Archer," Medusa replied. "My master is ordering my return. She is not someone to anger, so I must listen if I value my existence."
Percy nodded and said, "Then I'll see you after I take care of Kronos. Goodbye Rider."
Medusa turned around and walked away, as she vanished from the battle field. Percy sighed and looked around at the monsters around him.
"I really hate your kind," the son of Poseidon said. "Trace On!"
More than two dozen swords appeared around him and, without any physical reaction, launched all of them towards the monsters, turning them to dust and sending them to Tartarus. Percy then vanished as well, in the same way as Medusa. He then appeared atop the Empire State Building and began scanning the area around him once more.
"Now lets see where I can help out most," he muttered. His eyes scanned the ground below him. His keen eyes pick up even the individual scales on the Drakon that are being cut down. His eyes then catch the Athena Cabin working with some of the Hermes Cabin with taking on more Demigods than monsters.
"Guess I'll be helping out Wise Girl and the others," Percy smirked and jumped towards the nearest building.
He soon arrived and, still in the air, fired several arrows that struck several enemy demigods and monsters alike.
He landed in the center of the Athena Cabin and said, "Why wasn't I invited to the party?"
"And you are?" a Hermes camper asked.
"I'm the one saving your asses," Percy said, using his bow to kill an enemy Demigod. "The name's Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon."
