A woman's weapon - Part 4 - Aberama x Reader

"Well, well, well...........Aberama Gold. You got old." (Y/n) chuckled, as she finally made it over to the pair and pulled her cap from her head, allowing her hair to drop over her shoulders. The younger woman taking in the new look that her old friend was sporting. Quite liking the shorter hair and moustache, that Aberama now had.

"And don't tell me that this is Bonnie? Dear God, has it really been that long? You're all grown up. First time I saw you, you had just been pulled from your mother; pink, screaming and punching at the air." She continued, as she looked at the rather confused younger Gold. Aberama smiling as (Y/n) drew a little closer.

"Ya came then.............?"

"Well, it's not every day that a girl gets a note about a job, from the one and only Aberama Gold. So, how was I to refuse? One of the lads brought me your message from town, I was on the next train here........." (Y/n) explained, as Aberama got up from his chair and came to stand in front of her. His hand slowly reaching up; his fingers gently caressing her cheek, before catching a piece of her hair.

"Its good to see you..............."

"Its good to see you too, Abby. It really has been far to long.............."

"You got more beautiful............."

"I think your eyesight is going.............." (Y/n) chuckled, as she placed her hand over his. The two looking at one another for a moment, until a cough came from behind Aberama.

"Of course, what was I thinking...........Bonnie, I would like ya to meet my old friend. This is (Y/n).............(Y/n) was there when her mother helped yours give birth to ya...........In fact, her mother was there for all ya sister's births too" The assassin explained, gesturing for his son to step forward. Bonnie taking the hand that (Y/n) offered him and shook it.

"It's nice to meet ya Bonnie, you were still nothing but a babe in arms the last time I laid eyes on ya. You look like your mother; I can see her in your eyes. The question is, do you have her temper too? Lord knows that woman could swing a good frying pan............." The Romany healer said. Smiling as Aberama let out a laugh.

"Oh, he most certainly has..............."

"Then that would suggest that the rumours I heard, are true.........you have become quite the talented pugilist. I swear if ya mother had been a man, she would have been able to put even Jack Dempsy on the canvas, so ya definitely take after her............." (Y/n) continued. Bonnie finally giving her a huge smile.

"Well, now that we are all acquainted, why don't you tell me about this little job that you might have for me............ya message was a little cryptic after all, Abby............"

"Yes, of course.............Bonnie, be a good lad and go and make some tea, while (Y/n) and I talk, will ya............" Aberama said, nodding at the caravan. Bonnie not needing any more prompting than that. The young Gold just giving another smile, before disappearing.

"Come and sit down............" Aberama continued, offering (Y/n) the chair that he had been sat in, before he took a sit on a prone log across the fire from her.

"I've been doing for some jobs for a man called Tommy Shelby. He and his family are the ones helping Bonnie with his boxing............"

"And................."

"And................Tommy Shelby is a businessman; a businessman with some power and influence. And men with power and influence often find themselves with enemies.........."

"Abby, will ya cut the crap..............I might not come to these parts normally, but I still hear things; and I have heard tell all about the Shelbys and the Peaky Blinders. What you are actually trying to say to me, is that you have been doing some job for a Birmingham gangster, in exchange for him helping ya boy get somewhere in the boxing world. He currently has a job that requires something a little more discrete than a bullet through the head, or a knife to the guts. And so, you thought of me................"(Y/n) interrupted. Aberama unable to stop himself from laughing.

"As ya say, Tommy wants to get rid of someone. He wants to make it look more like an accident, more like natural causes; and he's willing to pay the someone that can do that..........." The Romany continued, (Y/n) looking into the flames of the small fire for a moment, before turning back to look at the older man.

"Well, I hope that you told this Tommy Shelby that my services don't come cheap. And the more natural he wants it to look, the more that it is gonna cost him..............." She said, before stretching out a little more in the chair.

"Now, where is that boy of yours...........I could kill for a cup of tea. It's a long way to Birmingham.............."

                                                      >>-------------------------------------<<

(Y/n) looked out of the caravan door, as the sun began to set. Bonnie had left some time ago, simply saying that he was going to train; leaving the two old friends to talk. The Romany healer quickly coming to see that Aberama had lost none of his charm over the years. (Y/n) sure that she hadn't laughed or blushed this much or this often, for years.

"Have you got anywhere ta stay............." Aberama asked, as he came to join her.

"No, I came straight here from the train station............"

"Ya could stay here...................."

"Well, it is a nice night. And it wouldn't be the first time I have slept next to a fire; the earth my bed and the sky my blanket............"

"I didn't mean out by the fire, and ya know it............." Aberama replied, as he turned her around. (Y/n) looking up into the older man's eyes.

"And what do we say to Bonnie when he gets back............?"

"Like you said.........it's a nice night.............." The Romany assassin told her, before he closed the door to the caravan.
