Chapter 10- Down For The Count

Mel's POV

I awoke in the middle of the night. I turned to my alarm clock and it read 3:42 am. Wow, why am I up so early? I turned back around towards the wall and hoped for sleep. The next thing I know there is a cloth on my mouth, I try not to inhale but it's too late. The chlorofoam is already working. Sleep comes quicker than I thought.

Wyatt's POV

I woke up at around 9 and went to see if Mel was awake yet. I know I've hurt her but I'm going to do whatever it takes to regain her trust. She's my little sister and I need her, even if she doesn't need me.

I walked into her room and her covers were down, but she was nowhere to be found. I went downstairs and found Chris drinking coffee. "Hey Wyatt." He greeted. "Morning Chris. Hey have you seen Mel this morning?" I asked. At that he just chuckled, "Mel awake before 10? Yeah right." I wore a confused look on my face and he seemed to understand that I was serious. The television all of a sudden turned on.

On the television I saw Kleiser. "Hello Wyatt." he said. "Kleiser. What do you want?" I growled. He smirked, "You have something I want Wyatt, and I-" he paused and turned the camera around. I saw Mel handcuffed and tied by ropes to a bed, "have something you want." "You leave her out of this." I said. "Oh but Wyatt, she's already in it. Now if you ever want to see your sister again you'll meet me here, 1836 Howard Drive Apartment 34C, in 1 hour, alone." He smirked and the picture blacked off. I know what I have to do. I need to go save my baby sister, but I need a plan.

Mel's POV

I woke up and tried to move my arms. I soon realized I couldn't. My wrists were tightly handcuffed to opposite sides of the top of a bed. I tried sighing but realized that there was a cloth in my mouth. It didn't allow me to talk, or scream. I couldn't call for help. I tried kicking to loosen the cuffs but was refuted. My ankles were tightly tied by a thick, black cloth. They were tied to opposite sides of the bottom of the bed.

I looked around the room. There was one door diagonal to the left of my line of sight. The bed was the only thing in the room. The walls and floor looked plush and luxurious. There was nothing else in the room besides that. What happened? Oh my gosh! Kleiser! I started trying to loosen the bonds but every effort was futile.

3rd Person's POV

Melinda lays on top of the bed and futilely tries to escape but nothing works. The bonds are much too tight. Kleiser walks into the room and sits on the edge of the bed. "Hi Mellie." He says. Kleiser smoothes his fingers over the mattress, "comfortable?" he asks. All Melinda can do is glare at him, as she cannot speak. He laughs and brushes his fingers over her leg. Mel shivers and tries jerking away but as she does so she somehow manages to twist her own ankle with her force. She cries out in pain but the sound is muffled. Kleiser chuckles and gets up, moving towards the door. "Don't worry, honey, you'll be dead soon enough." Kleiser says as he exits the room, leaving Mel in the dark.

Wyatt's POV

I reached my fist up to knock on the door. When I knocked the door, creepily, swung open. I walked in and Kleiser came out of a room. "Wyatt. So, glad, you could come." Kleiser said with a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. "Kleiser." I replied, "where's Mel?"

"A-a-a you'll get your sister as soon as I get what I want." Kleiser claims. Oh come on where is Chris when you need him. I heard his voice in my head, I can't find her anywhere in this apartment. Keep him talking, he said. "I'm right here." I said. He shook his head and clucked his tongue, "Not you Wyatt. You're too old to take control of. I mean baby you, someone deceptable." He said. My jaw tightened. Come on Chris. "Oh and Wyatt. I know Chris is here, and he won't be able to find Melinda. She's not here." Kleiser said with a grin. Chris fell, in orbs, down to the ground groaning. "What do you mean she's not here?" I asked, helping Chris up. "I mean that Melinda is my insurance policy. As long as I have her you won't hurt me, because then you'll never find your precious sister." He said. He held up a crystal ball. We looked in and saw the same room that Mel was in before except there was blood, everywhere. One of the poles on the top of the bed was ripped off, the pole opposite had a handcuff on it, empty, with blood on its rims. The ropes were untied at the bottom of the bed.

"WHAT?!" Kleiser claimed. I grinned, Mel must have gotten out, which meant I could do as much damage as I wanted to. Kleiser turned towards us and started backing towards a spiral staircase. "Listen kid. You don't want to do thi-" he never finished his sentence. A broken off wooden bed post hit him in the back of the head and he passed out cold. Mel stepped out from the shadows, blood on her wrists and her left ankle looked really swollen, "sweet cheese it worked!" she exclaimed. I grinned at my baby sister, "You do know we have a vanquishing potion." I said holding up a turquoise colored liquid in a vial. "Well use it." She said, motioning to the body, "he's just passed out. Not dead." Chris looked at me and shrugged, he threw the potion on Kleiser and he disappeared in flames. Mel smiled and started walking towards us, she winced as she put weight on her ankle. I ran over and picked her up bridal style, and orbed home.

Once we got home I healed Melinda's wrists and ankle. "Mel are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I asked. "No he didn't. I'm fine." She said with a straight face. Chris looked at us with a huge grin on his face. "Hey what's up with Cheeky over there?" she asked pointing at him. "We just defeated Kleiser, doesn't that mean the future's fixed?" Chris asked. I realized what he said was true and started celebrating with him. Mel sat on the couch and face palmed herself. "You idiots. It's not changed. We just defeated Kleiser from the future, which means all the things he did up until then still happened." She said. We stopped. "Well how do we stop him?" Chris asked, we both looked at Melinda expectantly. She sighed and started explaining, "Well the book says that he has to be called upon. Which means that somebody conjured him. All we need to do is find that person." She finished, smiling. I'm going to find that guy, and I'm going to make sure Kleiser is never born.
?*?*?*?*?*?*
Hey guys so. As I started the next chapter and ended this one I realized I really screwed up. I realized that Piper needs to get pregnant and have baby Chris before the end of this. Well she has to eventually. So the next chapter...will be...set...6 months later. I know I know. Bad. But I'm making things work, promise. Anyways predictions? How will they get rid of Kleiser for good? Who created him? Bye! :-)
