Missing You At Trollsmas

One week later

It's been a week now. A week. Trollex and Aggie never made any contact with each other since that dinner. That was the last time they saw each other, and after that, it's like they already forgot each other, but they didn't. They kept thinking about each other every day, hoping to see each other again.

Aggie has been sending Trollex dozens of messages everyday, but he never replied back. She even called him, but it was never reached. She ever tried to write letters to him, just in case he never received her tests, but her papers were soaked with water when she tried to send them. Aggie even went out to the beach every morning to see if Trollex decided to visit, but he never did. There were days she wanted to stay on the beach all day to wait for her crush, but it was a waste of time for her. She did invite some of her friends to hang out on the beach, but it wasn't the same without Trollex. He's the most interesting Troll Aggie ever met in her life. He took interest in her world, and he trusted her to teach him everything she knew about land. Things can be boring when Aggie hangs out with fellow Land Trolls sometimes.

Aggie wanted Trollex to visit her, because it was already the Winter Trollstice, when the first snowflake dropped from the sky, and snow day came. Aggie wanted to show Trollex snow, and they would play and have fun together. She was sure Techno Trolls had never experienced snow before, and she wanted Trollex to have the time of his life with snow, but he still hadn't showed up. She tried to keep herself distracted from thinking of Trollex by cleaning her secret collection room, and keeping the dance plants wet to prevent them from growing into a huge dance plant.

The Magic Musical Princess began to think that Trollex might be distant from her... or she was distancing from him because of his father's request. She didn't want to be away from him or ignore him, but she didn't want to get in trouble with his father.

"Why is Trollex not answering me? Does he hate me? Does he didn't want to be friends with me anymore? Is he really that busy?" Aggie sighed sadly that she realized she didn't have a chance to tell Trollex how she felt around her, "I wish I have done something sooner."

Aggie was saddened and missed her new "best friend" so much. If only she could tell him, but she was afraid he wouldn't feel the same way.

Trollsmas is coming, and she has to stay focused celebrating with her family.

Meanwhile, in Techno Reef, Trollex was too busy participating on planning for his arranged wedding, and his coronation. He didn't want to talk to his father after their argument that evening. He kept giving him the silent treatment. Despite Trollex didn't want to talk, he still obeyed his father's orders, or there will be consequences.

Trollex was doing a lot of paperworks, attending classes, checking on decoration arrangements for the wedding, checking on the food, arranging security for protection, and practicing their coronation speeches to deliver once he inherited the crown. Trollex was really booked throughout the week, and couldn't find a way to tell Aggie how he was. He couldn't send a letter or text messages since his father confiscated his phone. Trollex admitted. He missed Aggie. He missed holding her hand or hugging her or listening to her voice. He tried everything to reach for her, but he couldn't find a way, especially with guards and staff watching his activities.

The Techno Prince was thinking about his crush, and he wasn't sure how she was right now. He missed her, and he was so... incomplete without her. He couldn't stop thinking about her, and... he wished that he would've told her how he felt, but he was afraid she wouldn't feel the same, and he didn't want to lose her as his friend.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One day, after a week with no contacts from Aggie, Trollex has a chance to escape from duties and the kingdom, just to see Aggie again. Other Techno Trolls, especially his parents, thought he was practicing his speech for his coronation, but that was an excuse to escape and go to Harmonious Land. He swam as fast as he could so no one would see or catch up with him

When Trollex made it towards the shallow part of the water, he emerged from the water just near a giant rock. He can't just show up to Aggie. He knew that she would be upset that he didn't show up for a week. He kept himself hidden while searching for Aggie, but the princess was right there at the beach, making sandcastles with a Smooth Jazz Troll. That might be Sophia that he met before during their picnic. Trollex smiled at the sight of Aggie as he was happy that she was fine, and had fun with friends. Seeing her was enough for Trollex. He did want to talk to her or hang out with her, but seeing her face made his heart melt as his pupils formed white hearts at their sides, and her hair made a heart-shape.

"I'm happy Aggie was having fun without me, but... is she still thinking about me? Is she mad at me? Is she sad or happy without me?" Trollex wondered in his head as he wasn't sure the answers were. He just hoped Aggie wouldn't forget him or be mad at him for not showing himself for a week. A week felt like months to him, and he didn't know how long would take for him if he never see Aggie again

"Enjoying the view, huh?"

Trollex heard a strange voice as he startled, almost falling backwards into the water where he saw Chaz on top of the rock he was hiding behind.

"Chaz?! What are you doing here?!" The prince asked, then glared at him, "Are you spying on Aggie?!"

"Nope. Just practicing my smooth jazz music. I'm also going to ask you the same thing," Chaz answered while holding his saxophone.

"No, I'm not! I'm not spying on Aggie!" Trollex said defensively as he blushed, which he tried to hide.

"Then why are you here?" the Smooth Jazz Troll smirked.

"I just... okay, I was spying on Aggie. She's just so..." the Techno Prince groaned in defeat as he sighed dreamingly when he looked at Aggie again, having hearts on his eyes again, and his hair made a heart shape again

Chaz nodded, "Mm-hmm, she really takes her breath away."

Trollex snapped out of it, and asked, "Wait, why are you here practicing your music?"

"My daughter was hanging out with the princess."

"Oh, right, Sophia is friends with Aggie."

"Stop hiding from your feelings. Go and tell her."

"What are you talking about?"

"I know you had feelings for the princess. It was obvious since your date."

"That's not a date! That's just a friendly picnic!"

Chaz rolled his eyes as he sat down, and looked down at the prince, "Admit it, your highness. You're in love with Princess Aggie. But the problem is, not only you don't want to ruin your friendship, but also you're going to get married to someone else and become a king. The Prince of techno and Princess of Magic Musical can't be together. You two will get into big trouble if anyone finds out."

"Then why didn't you want to tell anyone? Aggie broke up with you," Trollex reminded.

"I know, but it doesn't mean I don't care. This is also for my daughter. She cares for Aggie, and I can't stop that. Look, Princess Aggie deserves someone after our break-up, and we both realize it wasn't me. But when I saw you two, and you two were very close, I think you're the one for her."

Trollex looked down sadly. He wanted to believe what the Smooth Jazz Troll told him, but he doubted because he wasn't sure if Aggie has the same thoughts as they both have.

"I don't know, Chaz. I'll be king soon, and going to get married to someone else. And I don't think Aggie felt the same way about me. I don't want to ruin our friendship for that. I don't want her to get into trouble about my arranged marriage. My parents would not like this."

"So were her parents. If they find out, ooh, things will get dirty," Chaz winced. He knew how strict and protective Aggie's parents were.

Trollex sighed while watching Aggie dreamingly, "You were right, Chaz. I am in love with Aggie. But it was no use. We're just going to be stuck in the friendzone."

"I know what'll fix your problem," Chaz floated from the rock, held up his saxophone, and began to play Smooth Jazz music.

But then, Trollex managed to reach for Chaz with his hair, and covered the end of his saxophone to stop him from playing his music, "No Smooth Jazz music."

4 days later, after the Winter Trollstice, Trollsmas has finally come. It is a wonderful holiday for all Trolls to spend time together with their families and close friends. But it was a sad holiday for Trollex and Aggie as they still haven't seen each other. 11 straight days of no contact from each other. They thought that they could spend their first Trollsmas together, but Trollex was still booked, and Aggie couldn't get to him.

Aggie locked herself in her room, looking at the window, watching the beach, and hoping for Trollex to visit her instead, but he wasn't around. She sighed sadly. She wanted to show Trollex was Trollsmas is about on land, especially snow. That would be so fun, but it wasn't meant to be. She really missed Trollex.

Just then, Aggie heard her mother calling to have Trollsmas breakfast with the family and the extended family, who came to visit for the holiday. She sighed as she got off her bed. She didn't like entertaining her extended family every year, but she still loved them

Later at lunch, when Aggie was talking to her aunts, and tried to ignore her meddling older cousins, she heard a doorbell ringing from the main door. This was her chance to escape from her noisy family, just to have space for a while. Aggie ran down the halls, and slid down the stairs to get to the ground floor where ahead was the door.

The guards were giving a day-off for the holidays, so Noel, Agnes, and Aggie were in-charge to keep the castle safe if there were any intruders.

When Aggie opened the doors, she was surprised to see her best friend, holding a green present with a pink bow.

"Gust! Happy Trollsmas" Aggie exclaimed.

"Howdy, Aggie! Merry Trollsmas!" Gust tilted his hat before the two hugged. Gust then entered before Aggie closed the doors, "Ay hope I'm nahwt too awful late faw lunch"

"You're just in time, partner!" The Princess of Magic Musical chuckled.

"Ay done got y'all ayy gift," The Country Troll handed the gift to her.

When Aggie took the present, she opened it, and gasped happily. She received a big ol' rainbow cowboy hat with a six-pointed silver star as a badge, "Aww, thanks, Gust."

"Don't menshun it," Gust patted his friend on the back, "Aggie, ay nee y'all's help with something."

"Lay it on me," Aggie was listening.

Gust looked around to see if no one else was listening as he whispered, "Y'all see... holly were calling me through huurr phone this here mawning."

"And then?"

"Whel, she's asking me out."

Aggie gasped loudly, "That's great!"

"Ay know, but I'm too nervous. Ya know how ay am when I'm around her," The cowboy admitted.

"I'm sure you'll be fine. Just woo her!" The princess advised.

"Ay don't know... that's why ay nee y'all's help," Gust confessed as Aggie was a little confused why he needed her help for a date. The Country Troll then asked quietly, "Ken ya be my wingTroll tomawrow? ay mighty nee some companions whahl i'm on ayy date"

Aggie wasn't so sure if she's the right Troll to be a wingTroll, but Gust asked her for help, and she can't turn it down, "Uh... sure. Anything for my friend."

"Oh thank y'all!" Gust exhaled as he patted Aggie's head.

When Aggie and Gust were ready to go to the dining room with the rest of the family, Aggie then heard another doorbell ringing. When she answered the door, no one was around, until the she noticed a present in front of her. Curiously, she read the card that was attached to the present. She pulled the card, and read what was on it.

Dear Aggie,

I am very sorry I didn't show up in a while, and I didn't call or text you because... it's complicated to explain, but all I can say is that I missed you. I missed hanging with you. If ever I come back, we can hang out as good friends. Explore the places that I haven't gone to. I hope that's okay with you. Anyway, I got you a present. Merry Trollsmas.

Trollex

Aggie's smile grew with her eyes sparkled. She was relieved and happy that Trollex didn't forget her at all. He did want to spend Trollsmas with her, but she still understood his duties. At least he still didn't have a clue that she really liked him. It would be embarrassing if she wasn't the one telling him how she felt for him... yet. She really hoped that they'll see each other soon. Aggie opened the present, and revealed it to be a necklace, containing small colorful sea rocks and shells. The rocks and shells have patterns of colors of the rainbow: red rock, red shell, orange rock, orange shell, yellow rock, yellow shell, green rock, green shell, blue rock, blue shell, purple rock, purple shell, pink rock, and pink shell. At the middle of the necklace, just between the green rock and green shell, there were two heart-shaped rocks; one was blue and one was gray.

This made Aggie blushed when she saw two hearts on the necklace, and the colors were just like hers and Trollex's. What do those hearts mean? Were they like love or a friend-love? Whatever it was, it might have been just a friendly love, but she didn't mind. Aggie wore the necklace, and it was so beautiful, but she can't show it to her family, or they'll meddle. She put the necklace back in the box, and hid it in her hair before joining her family at the dining room.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At Techno Reef, the Techno Trolls were also celebrating Trollsmas, but unlike the Land Troll, they never came to visit the land at all. They still have to stay under the sea with their families.

Like any other royal family, the guards and castle staff in LED castle were given a day off as well to be with their families, that would mean no one was watching over Trollex, other than his own family, but he locked himself in his room. He was still giving his father the silent treatment, even on the holiday. He grounded him, confiscated his phone, and forced him to stay focused on his duties, and his upcoming forced wedding. Trollex wasn't so sure if he's gonna be happy this holiday. It was supposed to be a happy holiday with his family, but he was still stubborn to be with his strict parents. He would rather be in his room than to be forced to be with them.

All that mattered to him was Aggie. He really wanted to spend Trollsmas with her, but he couldn't with his parents watching him. He just got lucky that day that he escaped to see Aggie again, but he wasn't lucky after that anymore. He just wished he would be in land with Aggie, and maybe it would be his chance to tell her how he felt about her.

All of a sudden, his train of thought interrupted when he noticed Beat was swimming through his window with a small blue box on top of him.

"Hey, Trollex, buddy, I found something!" Beat dropped himself on Trollex's bed.

"What is it, little buddy?" Trollex asked as he swam from the mirror, and sat on his bed next to the present.

"I noticed something in front of the door. I read that it's for you, so I took it here before your parents find out.

Trollex didn't know this present was, no one has been giving him gifts in Trollsmas, just other special occasions focusing on him. The only Troll who would give him presents in Trollsmas was his family and Beat, but this doesn't belong to any of them. He then noticed a card on top of the green bow, and read it.

Dear Trollex,

I know we haven't communicated for a week, and I got worried. I just want to say Merry Trollsmas. I hope we're still friends. I got you a Trollsmas present to show how much I care for you... as my friend. I hope you like the present I sent you.

Aggie

Trollex's mood changed from grump to happiness when Aggie gave him a Trollsmas present, which means she never forgot about him. She was still thinking of him... but she still saw him as a friend. It was still thoughtful of her for giving him a gift.

With no one but Beat in the room, Trollex opened his present, and revealed it to be a small golden box with 6 small gems around the lid. Each gem represented the signature color of all six music. When Trollex opened the box, and seven small colored Troll figurines of seven main Troll tribes spinning around while a soft gently music playing in the background

Trollex was fascinated by the music box as it showed how seven Troll tribes came together, and shared each other's worlds while the instrumental version of the song that he and Aggie unknowingly sang together before was played. It was the most beautiful gift Aggie has ever given to him. He never had a music box like this before. He would treasure this forever. He just needed to find a place where his parents never found it.

But for now, now that he is in a good mood, he has to spend Trollsmas with his family. He hid the box at the back of his clam bed, and swam out of his room with Beat following.

While King Ocean, Queen Seastar, and Synth were decorating the palace, Trollex entered the throne room happily, and helped his family decorate the room by hanging up glowing starfishes above the windows.

His parents and brother were confused by Trollex's changed behavior. They stared at Beat to make him give them the answers about Trollex, but the button never answered, and only grinned sheepishly.
