Prologue
I can't say I was the smartest girl on the mathlete team (yes there's such things), or the girl who's family all died in a horrible freak accident. I also can't say that my year was perfect, just as well as my looks, social status, or future. But as far as the future goes, that's unpredictable, this as well as my life entirely.
We used to play a game, 2 truths, 1 lie, and I was fairly decent at this game. An immediate love for this game sprung many years back and I didn't understand why until now.
What I realized is that this game gives you an insight on how normal or insane one's life could get, but most importantly, the deep, dark secrets that stood beneath every word. So I got that very thing for you too. 2 truths, 1 lie:
1) I didn't know how well my mom and I were doing financially. Turns out it may be getting worse.
2) Maybe the crash that killed my father was just my mom's own fault, whether or not she was drunk that night.
3) Or maybe it was the passenger's.
Two of these were at one point true to my beliefs, one being so impossible from the start, but really, who knows.
It's just a game of guessing now.
