Onimikeler project plot idea con.

Note: Names for characters are set. Place names are not set. This is just something for me to spit out ideas. I think I have a plot I like. A summary is below, and then an unfinished sort of opening of some sort. Please let me know what you think so far. Your opinions greatly effect the planning process of the Onimikeler project.

Plot idea: A bubble appears over a city and the area beside it, trapping all of it's citizens and visitors inside, allowing nobody to break through. Strange things start to happen in this bubble and nobody knows why or even how. Nobody, except for Alex. Alex knows that the bubble is meant to protect three individuals. He knows that all he can do is protect those three individuals. He isn't an original like them. He, as well as all the other non-originals whom will eventually get trapped inside the bubble, must make sure nothing happens to the three originals.

What happens if one of the three originals fall?

Unification will never come. Unity will never become of the alternate universes, nor will Unity himself ever get to live the life he deserves.

Mike worked at the front desk of Hotel Swank. Swank was a small, two story hotel with about sixty-four rooms in total. It wasn't the most well looked after, but it's located a mile from a very popular city known as Gaco City, so it got some nice attention. Swank was the go to hotel for people who didn't want to pay hundreds a night to visit the Gaco City, or maybe family that lived in the neighborhood developments surrounding the city. Swank has never had a problem with revenue, and for a twenty-three year old, it wasn't a bad place to work.

Mike continued to work the front desk of Hotel Swank even after the bubble appeared over half of Gaco City and all of the area beside that half. The bubble trapped everyone inside, and did not let anyone from the outside enter. This severely damaged business for Hotel Swank. At first this was very very bad for the hotel, but then the old woman that owned Hotel Swank found out that the people she owed money to were located on the half of the city that was not in the bubble. As long as the bubble was up, she could make no contact with upper management. So it did not matter whether or not Swank got any customers at all.

Mike still got paid, of course. In fact, he received a small raise. When he asked the old woman why, she just shrugged and told him to not question fate. This was a problem, for Mike questioned everything. Mike questioned why he didn't drink coffee that morning. He questioned why he had a cat. He never remembered the cat anyway. Did he feed the cat? It looked fine this morning. He questioned his sanity and if becoming an adult was really a good idea. He often questioned his boyfriend's decision to wear the same red hoodie for months without ever washing it. He questions his sexuality, his body, his budget control, and really, his whole life. Not that he isn't happy with his life, but there is quite a lot to it that he doesn't understand. Quite a lot he possibly never will understand.

Mike often spends his days sitting around the front desk of Hotel Swank, browsing the internet as it still somehow worked within the bubble. He could watch videos or listen to a podcast, but he was never able to comment or reply or post anything at all. The bubble prevented all of it's prisoners from communicating with the outside world. Mike couldn't email his older brother Gavin anymore, but in turn that meant that he didn't have to worry about his homicidal sister, Andrea. Ever since Mike got into contact again with his brother, who he had not seen since he was nineteen, he was told that Andrea wanted him dead.

One night, probably a Friday night, Tyler got home covered in blood.

Tyler would sometimes come home covered in blood. He was never ever happy about that, and would storm off into their bedroom to change clothes. He'd then come back in a t-shirt with some sort of game logo on it and some pajama bottoms and then cool down on the couch with Mike.

Tyler worked at Dark Heart Hospital. He was a nurse. He was also nineteen years old. Tyler did not attend college to be a nurse nor did he even want to be a nurse. He's only been a nurse for two weeks. A month after the bubble appeared, everyone between the ages of 18 and 59 were assigned jobs if they were already not working. Tyler was randomly selected to work as a nurse at Dark Heart Hospital. He questioned who thought assigning random jobs to random people of random ages and background was a good idea, but did not state his confusion aloud to anyone other then Mike, and forgot about it hours later. Mike, however, still wonders why, and his only theory is that new management has befallen the bubbled area.

Mike and Tyler lived alone, in a shared home, with a cat they could not quite remember.

Actually, that was a lie, but don't tell the bubbled area's new management.

Mike and Tyler live with their friend, Onity. Onity remembers the cat. Sometimes. Onity is not registered as a citizen and has never been. He cannot get a forced job nor can he drive with a license. Onity was not born here. Onity was born on a planet far far away, and found himself stuck on Earth at the early age of twelve. He lived alone for a certain amount of years in the abandoned mansion half way into the forest behind the neighborhood development called Garnet Woods. Garnet Woods was a section of housing that was farthest from Gaco City. Garnet Woods was also where Mike and Tyler live.

The abandoned mansion half way into the forest was where Onity used to live, scared and curious of the human world. It's an old sandstone building with five floors and many many boarded up windows. It also has two separate basements, thousands of books in many many book cases, and a white piano that has never been played. That was where he met Mike and Tyler, whom both couldn't help but snoop around one warm afternoon. Eventually Onity moved out and was allowed the guest bedroom at Mike and Tyler's house.

Onity isn't human. Onity uses a human disguise, and neither Mike nor Tyler have ever seen Onity's original form. Onity claims he has two original forms, one human like, and one beast like, but that he can shape-shift into just about any living thing if they wanted. He doesn't want to. He wants to sit around watching cartoons and playing popular Japanese rhythm games on the Iphone Mike and Tyler bought him so that he could text them and entertain himself while they were gone. Gone doing normal human things that Onity could never do. Not legally, at least.

Onity often goes on walks while Mike and Tyler are at work. Well, he doesn't really walk. Onity can teleport, but only if he can see the area he wants to teleport to. He teleports to avoid any of the new management that might realize he exists. Onity knows about them, and he knows that they are dangerous. He knows that they are not particularly fond of all the new paranormal, odd, creepy things that have been going on within the bubble, but he also knows that they are only part of it. If the bubble never appeared, they would never be here.

Onity doesn't know who actually manages the new management. It could be a five headed dragon for all he knew. As long as they never found him, he was okay with their existence.

Today, Onity visited the park, got to pet a dog or two, and then headed over to the local convenient store. You know, the ones with the pharmacy included? The store was also facing some difficulties, but luckily, when the bubble appeared, the only person whom got stuck inside the bubble that had anything to do with the store was one of the cashiers. His name is Alex, and he doesn't live anywhere in the bubble, but just so happened to have the midnight shift the very night the bubble appeared. He's been living in the store ever sense. It's a shame, because his apartment was only a block away from the bubble's edge. He really misses his space themed comics and his laptop and his fake white lab coat.

Alex and Onity were pretty close friends. They still are. Alex used to give Onity discounts on all their merchandise, but now that the bubble is up, he pretty much gives Onity what he needs for free. Tyler need headache meds? Sure. Mike want some sour candy? Okay. Alex noticed that Onity almost never picked up anything for himself, though. Almost. Onity did once take home a few of the leftover valentine stuffed animals because they were cute and needed a home. But then, was he really thinking of himself then?

The two would sit around, leaning back in chairs with their feet up on the front desk, chatting about random things. Alex liked to tell stories about his adventures back in college. Onity liked to tell stories that Alex is pretty sure Tyler would kill him if he knew he was telling them. Alex often feels a bit of sorrow when he thinks of Tyler and Mike. He knows why, but he doesn't plan to tell anybody the truth any time soon.

"Did you hear that?" Onity would ask later that morning, hearing a shuffle come from the back of the store.

"Oh, the shelves restock themselves. Every week." Alex would answer. "Some of the goods get over stocked and fall off the shelf."

"Ah." Onity would nod his head. "Is this normal for convenient stores?"

Alex would laugh. "It's the bubble, Onity."

After visiting Alex for a few hours, Onity would excuse himself, and Alex would throw him something sugar free to eat on his way out. Onity can't handle sugar filled foods, no matter how wonderful they smell and taste. He laughs when he remembers the day he found that out, and ended up throwing up on the carpet in the living room. To test, Tyler gave him hard rock candy which only made him throw up again. The two laughed, and then Tyler would say sorry, but then would secretly feel happy, because that meant more sugary goodness for him.

Onity spent the afternoon at Jeremy's apartment.

Jeremy's apartment was located really close to the boarder, and half of the lot was actually on the other side of the bubble. Sadly, Jeremy still had to pay rent, as the guy who took the rent was still in the bubble. Jeremy was okay though, as nothing in his life really changed sense the bubble. He had lost his job only to be given a forced job as a janitor at Hotel Swank. He gets to work with his friend Mike, which is nice, for they've been friends sense high school, and Jeremy is a ball of anxiety that has a hard time making new friends.

Onity likes to hang out at Jeremy's apartment when Jeremy gets time off, like this day in particular. The two watch anime, because Jeremy is really into anime. They talk about that Japanese rhythm game they play and then complain about how it is ruining their lives. They love it.

//Stopped here, had no real direction to go. Please let me know what you think! Is this interesting to you? Would you be interested in more of this? Any ideas you'd like to share? Altername names for Gaco City? I don't really like Gaco. Plz donate your thoughts. Thank you!//
