Friend Request

//Max's POV//

Y/n sat down next to me and we began to chat.

"So, why is Jaiden in a wheelchair, was she in a car accident or something?" I asked.

"No she wasn't, she has Parkinson's," She sighed.

"Oh , I'm sorry for asking," I apologized.

"It's alright, you didn't know," She gave me a soft smile.

"What Camp did your parents even sign you up for?" I asked her.

"Socialization Camp, My mom thinks that I need more friends than Jaiden and some kids at school," Y/n shrugged.

"You seem like you'd have a lot of friends," I said.

"Thanks for the compliment but no, I mostly fight with the kids at my school for making fun of Jaiden, so most kids don't associate with me because of Jaiden or I'm just plain invisible to others," She explained.

Y/n dropped her head down and looked at the ground.

"Honestly, I was afraid to come here. Some bitch at my school said that I'd never fit in with normal people, like her," She sighed.

"Well, I think normal people aren't real," I told her.

Y/n looked up at me with twinkling eyes which meant that she was about to cry.

"You're right," She said as she wiped her eye.

"Hey,don't cry," I shook my hands in the air.

"Sorry, I'm such a trash bag," Y/n chuckled.

"Don't say that, you sound edgy."

"Sorry," She laughed.

"Stop apologizing too," I told her.

"So... onto some less depressing subjects, Favorite video game?" She asked me.

"GTAV-"

"IT'S ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW LEAF!" Nikki screamed from a bush.

"Nikki! Shut the hell up!" Neil shouted.

Me and Y/n looked behind us to see Neil and Nikki spying on us.

"NIKKI WHAT THE FUCK?!" I yelled at her.

"Dude that's nothing to be ashamed of! That game is literally one of the best games of all time!" Y/n smiled.

I felt my face go so hot so I shoved my face in my hoodie.

"Shut up. Shut up. Shut up!" I mumbled over and over.

//Your POV//

Max stomped away from us and David walked by him.

"Hey Max!"

"FUCK OFF DAVID!" He yelled at him.

"Max, watch the profanity," David waved his finger.

"Geez, what's up with him?" Asked Nikki.

"*Sigh* I'll go talk to him," I sighed.

"Uh, not to come off as rude, but you barely know him," Neil pointed out.

"I know but I don't think he'd want to see you guys now," I shrugged.

"You have a point," Neil answered.

I walked down the trail where Max ran off from.

Neil's right, I barely know Max.

I might just ruin our friendship, well more of an acquaintance but still, it's best to see if he's alright.

"Max!" I called out.

No answer.

"Dude, where are you?!" I shouted.

No answer.

I started to get worried.

Human nature is funny like that.

You meet a person at least thirty or so minutes ago and now you're worrying about them.

Strange, isn't it?

"Max! C'mon, I don't like being out here right now," I called out one more time referring to the sunset.

No answer.

"Please.." I whispered.

I was sure I failed until my thoughts were interrupted.

"Relax I'm here," He grumbled in an annoyed tone.

"Thank god, I thought something bad happened to you!" I was relieved.

"Yeah I wish," Max rolled his eyes, "Can you go away now?"

"Max, it's getting dark," I began, "It's dangerous in the woods at night."

"You haven't even been here for a day-"

"I literally live in a town surrounded by the woods, so I know," I interrupted him.

(yes you live in a town surrounded by woods)

"Well..I..UGGHH!" He growled.

Max must've seen me flinch at his anger because he soon stopped swearing to himself.

"I'm..sorry," He put his hands to his forehead.

"It's okay, If you're not in the mood to go back to the camp, it's fine," I told him, "I'll even leave so you can have a minute."

I turned to walk off but Max grabbed my hand.

I felt my face go with darker with blush at the action.

"Y/n wait. I want to tell you something, and promise you won't tell anyone," He Spoke up.

"Okay," I agreed as I took a seat on a tree stump.

"At my home, I don't really have many friends, and don't really want any from there since most of them are white trash and sluts, but since I was basically forced to come here I've been trying to escape ever since I got here. I don't want to deal with David's bullshit and I don't want to hang out with all these people I don't know," He explained.

"Max, I-"

"Please, let me finish, I soon became 'friends' with Neil and Nikki and I even get tired of them a lot too. All I'm saying is that I'm not a happy person and I don't think you'd want to hang out with me and trust me, I can tell your trying," Max finished.

"But Max, I don't care if you're a happy go lucky queer like David or something, I just like who you are and for the record you're pretty cool to hang out with," I smiled.

I swear I saw a tiny bit of blush on his cheeks.

"...really?"

"Yep," I answered.

"Well then, you have very low standards," Max joked.

"Pffft! Stop it, you're not that bad!" I snickered.

Once I looked up noticed that it was already dark out.

"Oh shit, look how dark it is. How are we going to go back now?"  I asked.

"What if we don't go back?" Max suggested.

"Max, I don't know what you're saying but I'm not too keen on getting lost in the woods," I furrowed my eyebrows.

"No, I mean, there's a town not that far from here, we can escape. Do you have your phone on you?" He asked.

"I'm not too sure, let me check though," I answered.

I sighed as I dug through my surprisingly large pockets and finally pulled out my (phone color), (phone company; iPhone, Samsung, LG, etc.) .

"Well That was convenient," I Said surprised I had it.

"Text Jaiden and ask if they're looking for us,"  Max spoke.

"K' ," I Said as I opened the messenger app.

After a few moments she answered.

"Yeah, But they just started so they shouldn't be that close," I told him.

"Well then let's go," He Said.

"What about Nikki and Neil?"

"Can't you See I don't want to be bothered with them right now?" He looked at me with an obvious glare.

"Oh, yeah."

Max grabbed my hand (which made me blush again) and started running.

"Let's go!"
