Hello and welcome to my favourite time of the Wattpad Year: ONC time! If you've talked to me on the discord or the twitter or pretty much anywhere lately, you've probably noticed I've been casually (not so casually) encouraging everyone to join ONC because I have so much fun doing it, but it's so much more fun if you have other people to share it with.

With the disappearance of my newsfeed and the forums, it is harder to see the other excellent books people are finding, and with so many entries into the contest, it's hard to even decide where to start! So I'm hoping to give you a small sample of what I'm reading here in this book. Last time I looked, the page where ONC books were being shared was up past 500 stories so there is no way to read them all! At least not for me. 

As I have done in the past, I will be spending time reading entries that catch my eye as well as those from writing friends, so there will be my usual fare of deliciously sweet romance, but there will also be many other genres. I'm excited to read such variety in such a short period of time.

Full disclosure: Due to time constraints, I will be sticking to the first few chapters of each book. It might take a whole year to read ALL the way through all of these entries, but hopefully I can give you a little taste of what they are like! Most of the reviews in this book will be based on the blurb and the opening couple chapters of the story — at least for now!

I should note also that this book will contain books written for ONC that are updated at least as regularly as the schedule requires and are currently in progress or completed. Books that are on hold may be removed, but books that do not making it through the rounds of judging will remain because I think they are all worth reading, regardless of what happens with results.

In short, if you find a book in here, you can be relatively confident it was begun as part of the Open Novella Contest and it is currently being written (or completely finished already! I see you, speed demons!) so you will always have books to enjoy.
