That is what escaped from Ryu's mouth as he was in the kitchen, drying a plate from which Kiana had just finished eating from. Since the white haired girl was taking het studies extremely seriously right now due to her failure, she didn't have the time to do these stuff. So, Ryu had offered to clean her dish for her, something he was extremely accustomed to thanks to his time in Cocolia's Orphanage... or so he thinks.

Ryu has been... confused as of late, mainly concerning these dreams and "memories" he's been having and each one of them always is related to those Thirteen Silhouettes. But then the one he had before woken up in the St. Freya Infirmary puzzled him the most...

???: "Goodbye... my dearest Ryu~"

That woman... those enthralling pink crystalline eyes, that joyful and loving voice and her touch filled with a euphoric warmth...

Ryu's thoughts: "What's... happening with me...? Why do they keep appearing... Why does she keep appearing...? And why..."  He gritted his teeth and held his chest. He could feel it, that string weighing his heart down. Everything went dark and he felt heavy, as if the 'Jaws of a Hydra' had clamped down on him.  "Why do I feel so... so unbelievably hurt every time I think of her... Who is she... Who am.... I?"

Bronya: "Ryu?"  The raven-haired male snapped out of is and quickly looked to his left, spotting his adorable silver-haired friend with a Yellow Homu-Homu Virtual Reality Comm Link on her head and in her hands was a red one.  "Are you alright?"  She asked with a tilt of her head.

Ryu: "Yeah, no worries, Bunny. I'm doing fine. Whatcha doing with that VR Comm Link?"

Bronya: "The Bronya is going to help Subject Kiana with her studies via Virtual Reality. The Bronya would like Ryu help her with this task."  She said as she held up the red VR Comm Link up to him. He chuckled and smiled at her before putting away the dried plate in his hand.

Ryu: "Sure thing. Plus, it's been a while since I've used this thing."  He said, taking the red Homu from her hands before he placed it on top of his head, like a hat.  "Let's go get the Tuna now."  He said, to which she nodded.

As the petite girl went to get another Comm Link, Ryu thought back to his previous thought process. Just then, he swore he could have saw a slight glimmer in his mind... a small image... of "her" smile. He shook the thought away as Bronya came out with a Blue Homu-Homu Virtual Reality Comm Link. The two former Anti-Entropists entered Kiana's room as she was starting to panic from the sheer quantity of what she had to study.

Kiana: "Oh... my... god... I can't remember a thing from this! Why would anyone test us on history and all that crap!?"

Ryu: "Uh, Tuna?"

Kiana: "What, Lizard Boy!?"  She was instantly silenced as Bronya plopped the blue Homu VR Device onto her head.  "Hey, Bronya! What did you just put on my head? Unlike you, I am not a Homu fan!"

Bronya: "It's a Homu-Homu Virtual Reality Comm-Link. For edutainment and learning disabilities."  She said as a red antenna popped out of her yellow Homu's tail. Ryu slightly snickered as her comment but sat down while Kiana just looked at the two confused.

Kiana: "And how is this going to help me?"

Ryu: "Like this."

Ryu and Bronya: "Link Start."

Kiana's body suddenly stiffened up as she collapsed onto her side while Bronya and Ryu remained there still.

>Chapter 11: The Best Way to Study History<

Opening his eyes, Ryu, who was now wearing his "Knight Meister" Battlesuit, looked around and found himself in some kind of massive library with what looked like an endless number of floors. As he got up, Kiana shot up next to him, wearing her "Valkyrie Ranger" Battlesuit.

Kiana: "WOAH! There's no way I can read all of this!"

Ryu: "Hah, I doubt you'll be subjected to reading this, Tuna."

Kiana: "Stop calling me that!"

Ryu: "But you've been answering me whenever I called you that. I thought you liked it."  He said, crossing his arms as he smirked smugly at the girl with the braids. Kiana gritted her teeth out of frustration but before she could say anything, Bronya's voice called out to them.

Bronya: "O lost ones! You are now gazing upon the Schicksal core database on the history of the Honkai! Here me, o lost ones by the names of Kiana Kaslana and Aikawa Ryu!"

Kiana: "Huh???"

Ryu: "Oh?"  They both looked up, spotting Bronya descending on them as her outfit entirely changed to look like a cute little fairy. She even had a pair of butterfly wings on her back.

Bronya: "I am the Bronya, your tutorial fairy! Obey the Bronya as we embark on a quest to help Kiana combat severe idiocy."  She said as she landed before them. Ryu took in her appearance, being taken aback since he's never really seen Bronya wear something so... girly before. But he smiled and ruffled up her hair lightly.

Ryu: "Well if that's the case, I'll have no choice but to follow the super cute fairy, right?"  he asked her, a small grin on his face as he gave her a wink. The silver-haired petite girl blinked before her cheeks lit up slightly with a small pink hue but she closed her eyes and nuzzled into his hand while letting out a hum of satisfaction.

Bronya: "The Bronya shall allow this to slide for now..."

Ryu: "Aww, thanks~!"  He said, to which the female looked away, poking her index fingers against each other. But both of their attention was caught by Kiana who was muttering to herself.

Kiana: "There's a monster called 'severe idiocy'..?"  Ryu sighed heavily and face palmed.

Ryu: "You really concern me, Tuna..."

Bronya: "The Bronya shall start with the earliest records of the Honkai."  Both Kiana and Ryu watched as the fairy Bronya walked over to a wall of books before pulling out a specific book from the shelf, causing it to split open and slowly slide open, engulfing the three teenagers into a bright white light. When the light had died down, they were now in the timeline of 2717 BCE. A voice suddenly began to speak and explain the history of this timeline.

2717 BCE
Southern Asia: First Recorded Appearances of Honkai-Infested Animals.
There are the earliest instances of Honkai Beasts. They live only to exterminate the Human Race.

Bronya: "We're now seeing data generated VR designed to provide an accurate rendition of those times."

Kiana: "Wow! This is WAY better than the movies! Definitely better than Cretaceous Park."

Ryu: "That's VR for you, girl. And you thought Blade Art Online couldn't be possible."  He said with a smug grin and a playful bump to her side, to which the white-haired female blushed slightly and glance away.

Kiana: "W-Whatever, idiot."  The voice continued with the explanation as the three teenagers looked on, with Kiana decided to more pay keen attention.

In the face of certain human extinction, a mysterious young girl appeared... the girl who went by the name of "Ji Xuanyuan". She is better known as the "Yellow Emperor". The Yellow Emperor is also the first recorded Human with powers strong enough to fight the Honkai.

Ji Xuanyuan single-handedly exterminated the Honkai threat but disappeared afterwards. Even Schicksal could not locate any traces or clues as to where she went.

Seeing the young Asian girl defeat the Honkai infested animals with such grace and elegance got the female Kaslana excited as she balled her fists up and got into a fighting stance with a massive grin on her face.

Kiana: "Super! I can totally do what she's doing! Lemme have a go at it! I can do Neko Jump all day!"

Ryu: "Not so fast, Tuna."  He said, grabbing her by the back of her collar which caused her to yelp and turn her head to face him.  "We didn't come to this VR world to fight ancient Honkai Monsters. We came here to help you pass your exams next week."

Bronya: "Not that Subject Kiana can beat these on her own anyways..."

Kiana: "Mou! This is no fun at all!"  She complained and crossed her arms with a pout while Ryu just sighed and shook his head. Meanwhile, Bronya began to command the system to change he scene.

Bronya: "System! Begin transfer to the next historical event!"  She said as everything around the three teenagers began to warp and change before now, they were in Europe and in the 14th Century CE.

14th Century CE
Europe: The Honkai Beasts have reappeared in greater force and numbers. But Schicksal, an organization dedicated to fighting the Honkai, has established a strong presence in the continent. Schicksal created powerful knightly orders and developed weapons to fight this New Honkai Threat. This was the first time that Humanity achieved an advantage in the Honkai War. The Human race of this time could disable and capture the Honkai but were not equipped with the tools to exterminate them. The captured Honkai Beasts were therefore imprisoned in the catacombs of the Grand Cathedral of Schicksal's stronghold in Europe. Elated by their victory, the Human race did not expect the terrible events that followed... The Honkai manifested itself as a Plague. Schicksal scientists postulate that it has a decree of sentience. The Plaque spread quickly throughout Europe, taking 25 million lives in 6 years.

Kiana, Bronya and Ryu walked through the ancient town as multiple citizens dressed in black were tending to multiple fallen Humans who were all infected by the Honkai Plaque. Ryu narrowed his eyes at the sight, feeling his heart pain for whatever reason but he was caught off guard by Kiana, who had broken off from them and dashed forwards.

Ryu: "Kiana?"  He asked as he ran after her, with Bronya flying after them. The white-haired female came to a complete stop in front of a giant golden cross that had a striking resemblance to the weapon wielded by Theresa Apocalypse.

The Oath of Judah.

Kiana: "Hey, isn't this cross the one that Principal Theresa carries around? Why is it here?"

Ryu: "Huh?"  He came to a stop behind her as the female gestured to the giant golden cross. Ryu hummed and stroked his chin.  "Yeah, no doubt it is that same cross... Maybe it's an ancient relic from this time and Theresa managed to inherit it."

Kiana: "It's so shiny..."

Ryu: "Don't even think about it—"  He cut himself off with a sigh as Kiana did exactly what he thought she was going to do, which was touch it. Instantly the Oath of Judah began to glow as the same voice from the simulation began to speak.

Kiana: "Huh..?"

Ryu: "Kiana!"  He yelled.

The raven-haired male had managed to grab her by the shoulder before suddenly, the two of them were absorbed into the Oath of Judah, leaving Bronya who had just arrived, very confused. The two went flying through a subspace from the Cross, with Ryu loosing grip on Kiana's shoulder but they went flying towards the same light. As they came out the other side, they found themselves falling out of the sky. Kiana lets out terrified squeal as Ryu gritted his teeth and began diving towards her.

Ryu: "Damnit, damnit! Nakith!"  He yelled as the white Honkai Dragon appeared behind him. While sweeping his arms back, Ryu began accelerating to Kiana at a much greater speed before he held out his right hand to her.  "Grab on to me, Kiana!!"

The horrified Kaslana quickly obliged and held out her hand to his. The male grabbed onto her and quickly pulled her close into his chest as he positioned them so that he'd take the brunt of the fall. However, Nakith helped them out by flying underneath them and curling up, slowing their fall dramatically. The white dragon gently landed on the ground, with Ryu and Kiana on its back, both teens panting from the adrenaline rush.

Ryu: "Holy... You okay, Kiana..?"  He asked as the girl who was lying on top of him shook her head and slowly looked down at him as she slowly sat up.

Kiana: "Y-Yeah... I think?"  She held her head.  "This VR World is getting weirder..."

Ryu: "You don't say... Thanks for the help, Nakith."  He said as his reptilian companion roared in response before disappearing back into the tattoo on his left arm.

Soon, the two were drawn to the sound of rushing footsteps towards then, causing them both to look to their left to see... a woman. She had silvery white hair tied into a single long braid and blue eyes... similar to Kiana. However, the outfit she wore was like that of a Nun, like Theresa, but the outfit was quite dirty looking and tattered. However, one distinctive factor was a pair of metallic shackles that bounded her hands together by chains.

???: "Are you two hurt??"  She asked but blinked as she stared at the two of them. She quickly turned away, an embarrassed blush on her face.  "I-I'm sorry! Am I interrupting something?"

Ryu and Kiana: "Huh?" 

They both looked confused before looking back at each other. Only then they realized that their position was quite compromising as Kiana was straddling Ryu in his lap. Crimson blushes quickly coated their faces as the silver-haired girl quickly hopped off the raven-haired male and kicked him in the face.

Ryu: "OOF!"

Kiana: "What are you doing, pervert!?"

Ryu: "Me!? You're the one who was straddling me like a damn horse!"

Upon hearing the bickering from the two, the older woman with them slowly turned around to look back at them with a look of curiosity. When her eyes landed on Kiana, she was confused. The two females almost looked exactly like each other, with the only real difference is their bodies' level of maturity and growth. But once her oceanic eyes landed on Ryu, she found herself getting lost in thought. In her mind, the memory of two others flashed through her mind rapidly; a woman with pink hair and wearing a more Japanese styled outfit and the other.. was a man with black hair and golden eyes. The female felt her mouth tremble as she then said...

???: "Ryu...?"  Their bickering ended as both teenagers looked at the woman in confusion, with Ryu being more confused.

Ryu: "Uh...? You know my name..?"  Her eyes burned as tears began to fall from them. She suddenly ran to him and latched herself onto him, taking them both to the ground, with Ryu releasing a surprised yelp.  "Hah!? What the—"

???: "Y-You're here...? Ryu...!"

Ryu: "W-What the fu—"

Kiana: "H-Hey! What are you... Ryu what are you doing to her!?"

Ryu: "Does it look like I'm in control here you damned block head!?"  He yelled but slightly froze as he could feel the woman's tears drenching his jacket. He didn't know why but for some reason he felt somewhat internally... connected to her... and his hand instinctively went to gently stroke her along the back.  "Um... Ma'am... I'm not fully sure what's going on, but could you at least tell me your name?"

???: "Don't you remember me, Ryu..?"  She asked as she slowly sat up, straddling him as she looked down at him with red, tearful eyes. But then she smiled.  "I'm Kallen and I'm... I'm..."  She gulped as she held back a cry before she gently wiped her tears and stared deep into his golden ones.

"I'm your girlfriend, along with Sakura."
