Cocolia's Orphanage...

With a sigh, Seele opened her eyes and found herself still in her shared dorm room, with a full moon shining through the window. As she lied on her bottom bunk bed, she remembered what happened a few minutes ago. She was crying in the toy chest when Bronya and Ryu found her and comforted her. After she had calmed down, they decided to call it a night and get some rest.

Seele's thoughts: "I can't sleep." She slowly sat up and looked up to the top bunk bed to see Bronya sleeping peacefully. Then on the single bed next to the bunk bed was Ryu, who was also fast asleep.

Seele: "I never thought that Bronya and Ryu remembered the time I called them Demons. They promised that they will never hurt anyone for my sake.."

She froze as she could hear in her head, a voice that sounded familiar to her own, however it was much more sinister and had more attitude. Behind her was a black feminine misty figure, with piercing red eyes and a wide, almost crazy grin on its face.

???: "𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪 𝕞𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥 𝕓𝕖𝕔𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕞𝕖, 𝕞𝕪 𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥~ 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕕𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕟, 𝕊𝕖𝕖𝕝𝕖. 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕣𝕤𝕥 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕞𝕪 𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖~"

Seele: "Nyet! Nyet!" She covered her ears in an attempt to block out the voice. The figure floated over to the calendar in the room and pointed to a specific date which had a red heart drawn on it.

Seele: "That's right. I must protect Bronya... I must protect Ryu..." She muttered quietly, her blue eyes widened as they went slightly dull, and a shadow became casted over them.

>>Meanwhile<<

Standing in the halls of the Orphanage was Sin herself, her teeth clenched hard as she clutched onto a piece of paper in her hands while reading its contents. With her hair slightly out of the way, revealed her left eye, which was silver, unlike her golden right one. Cold sweat was dripping down her face as her expression slowly became more and more fearful.

Sin: "Damnit. I'm feeling scared. I can't look bad in front of Bronya or Ryu."

Seele: "Sin Mal!" The girl with the miss-matched eyes sweat dropped and glanced to her left, spotting Seele standing there.

Sin: "Tsk... It's the crybaby... Get lost, Seele. I'm not very happy today."

Seele: "Nyet! I won't run away this time again! I saw you pushing Bronya down the stairs! And I heard you threatening to hurt Ryu again! I... I'm warning you, Sin! I'll tell Matushka what you did if you hurt them again!"

After her little speech, she began to pant. Despite how much she was trying to sound serious and threatening, she couldn't. Simply because she just wasn't that type of person. She sounded more afraid of Sin and Sin could hear it in her voice.

Sin: *smirks* "Three orphans who never met their parents cozying up to each other? You disgust me." A thud was heard as Seele grunted, finding Sin pinning her down to the floor. "The sight of you makes me sick, Seele. You're a useless crybaby and you're always asking Ryu and Bronya for help. But it turned out that you're pretty good looking up close. I'll make you my toy before I go to hell~"

There was a noticeable 'rip' noise as Sin forcefully undid buttons of the white undershirt Seele wore. It seemed that she was about to force herself onto her but stopped upon seeing a particular red mark on her chest.

Sin: "What the hell is this? A Birth Mark? The red color looks so unnatural, like a witch's brand." She began to touch it and slowly run her finger along the symbol, with her grin only growing as she inched closer down to Seele. "It's like a demonic curse. No wonder your parents threw you away."

Seele: "Hngh... Please don't do this, Sin..."

Tears began to stream down her face as Sin gripped onto her arms forcefully and kept her pinned. Seele didn't know what to do... She didn't want to hurt Sin, she hated violence. But if she did nothing, the Mal would have her way with her and if Ryu and Bronya found out, they'd take matters into their own hands.

Suddenly, a burst of energy erupted from the blue-haired swallow, with black and blue shadow bursting from her back and wrapping around Sin, lifting her into the air and keeping her suspended.

Sin: "What the hell...?"

She stared at Seele, who's eyes were blocked from the shadow of her hair. However, the energy she gave off, it was filled with malevolence. She reached forwards and gripped Sin by the hair, her now red eyes glowing ominously.

'Seele': "𝕊𝕚𝕟, 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕡𝕣𝕖𝕥𝕥𝕪 𝕔𝕦𝕥𝕖 𝕦𝕡 𝕔𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕖 𝕒𝕤 𝕨𝕖𝕝𝕝~ 𝔹𝕦𝕥 𝕀 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕔𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕞𝕖 𝕒 𝕔𝕣𝕪𝕓𝕒𝕓𝕪. 𝕐𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕠 𝕣𝕦𝕕𝕖, 𝕀'𝕝𝕝 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕥𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣𝕤~" she said, with a little tune in her voice as her mouth stretched across into a crazed grin.

Sin: "You... You're not Seele! Who are you? What are you? A Demon?"

She received no verbal response. A pillar of shadows lunged into her mouth before violently ripping out a tooth from Sin's mouth, causing her to scream out in pain and agony... and for 'Seele' to drool in slight pleasure as she held the singular tooth in her hand.

'Seele': "𝕆𝕙 𝕕𝕖𝕒𝕣, 𝕀'𝕞 𝕤𝕠 𝕤𝕠𝕣𝕣𝕪~ 𝔻𝕚𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕥? 𝕀 𝕤𝕚𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕪 𝕔𝕒𝕟'𝕥 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕚𝕤𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟 𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕟. With a gasp coming from the terrified Sin, she found herself in some form of void-like dimension, with a single staircase that she was currently standing on.

Sin: "What is this place...?" She muttered, a tremble in her voice before she remembered something, Seele. She was the one that brought her to this dimension, but she was nowhere to be found. "Seele? Where are you!? What are you trying to do!?"

'Seele': "𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕚𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕔𝕒𝕤𝕖 𝕊𝕦𝕡𝕖𝕣 ℝ𝕚𝕕𝕖. ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕡𝕦𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔹𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕪𝕒 𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕤."

Sin gasped upon hearing her voice. She turned to her left, her eyes widening in fear as next to her was a gigantic sized, red-eyed Seele, staring down at her with that wide grin.

Before she could even react fully, Sin felt her body be pushed forwards as Seele's massive finger nudged her back, sending her crashing down the stairs which lead into a deep dark abyss. As she fell over the edge, she grabbed onto the surface, grunting as she struggled to not fall.

'Seele': "𝕆𝕙 𝕕𝕖𝕒𝕣~"

Seele appeared on the staircase before Sin, a massive metal scythe in her hands reminiscent of the one she tried to create in the class earlier that day. As Sin's eyes landed on the scythe, her eyes widened further, threatening to pop out of her eyes as fear filled her body to the brim.

Sin: "Please help... I don't want to die... Please Seele! DON'T KILL ME!!! What are you trying to do!? SAVE ME!!!" A 'swooshing' sound followed by the sound of flesh ripping apart echoed throughout the empty abyss. "KYAH! MY FINGERS! KYAAAHHH!!!"

A few minutes went by, and Sin's unconscious body could be scene lying on the ground. Besides her missing tooth, she didn't seem physically injured, but was definitely mentally destroyed as her eyes had rolled to the back of her head with tears rolling down her eyes and her drool staining the floor. Seele however, just sat in a chair before her, her scythe resting in her lap.

'Seele': "𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕤𝕠 𝕥𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕓𝕦𝕝𝕝𝕪𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕡𝕖𝕠𝕡𝕝𝕖. 𝔹𝕦𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕥 𝕞𝕖, 𝕊𝕚𝕟. 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕𝕟'𝕥 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟 𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕒 𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕~" She giggled in a disappointed manner before she hummed, upon spotting a piece of paper on the ground, which Sin was reading earlier. "𝕊𝕚𝕟 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕀 𝕤𝕒𝕨 𝕙𝕖𝕣..."

When she picked it up, her eyes widened as her eyes reverted back to blue and her scythe vanished.

Seele: "What!?" What displayed on the paper was some form of notice for an experiment called X-10, and there were two candidates who had signed up for it: Sin and Ryu.

Cocolia's Office...

Sitting behind her desk, Cocolia was casually sorting through some papers when the door to her office opened. She peered her eyes up, only to look surprised to see Seele sheepishly entering.

Seele: "Matushka..."

Cocolia: "Seele? This hour is late. You should be asleep now." However, she didn't move. Simply, she entered the office and closed the door behind her before staring at the orphanage owner.

Seele: "Matushka, please tell me the trough about the X-10 Experiment." Internally, Cocolia was taken aback but stared at the young girl.

Cocolia: "Oh? Did Ryu tell you about this? It's supposed to be a secret..." She sighed and stood up before approaching the blue-haired swallow. "No matter. You have a right to know what's going on. Honkai corrupts normal people. Children like you, however, have innate Honkai Resistance, allowing you to resist the corruption and even control the Honkai. But Honkai Resistance can only go so far. Corruption will set in sooner or later. The X-10 Experiment aims to achieve 100% Honkai Adaptability. If we succeed, you'll become a new breed of the Human Race capable of surviving the Honkai."

Seele: "But... What happens when the X-10 Experiment fails? Will Ryu die!?"

Cocolia: "Seele..." She crouched down to her and gently placed her hands on her shoulders. "Ryu has a very High Honkai Resistance. Even if the experiment fails... we can still learn more about the Honkai. Please understand. Ryu knows this. He's taking the test so that more of us can survive in the world. Bronya would have done the same."

Seele: "I... I understand, Matushka." She muttered, a slight shadow lingering over her eyes. However, she gripped her white undershirt and unbuttoned it, revealing the red symbol that was present on it to her. "But... I know there's someone better suited for X-10."

"WARNING! WARNING! HONKAI LEVEL CRITICAL"

Cocolia's eyes widened as she slightly took a step back. The symbol that was present on Seele's chest, she couldn't believe it. It was a Stigmata from the Previous Era...

Cocolia: "Can this be... a True Stigmata...? I thought it's only a myth! This must be why she could control and hide such high levels of Honkai within her!"

The blue-haired girl only stared at her, her blue eyes glowing with red rings bordering the outskirts of them. The Honkai energy radiating off of her was immense as she took a step towards the blonde woman.

Seele: "Matushka, please let Seele take Ryu's place in the X-10 Experiment."
