chapter thirteen.
forever
GEORGINE Brodeur stood aimlessly against the crowd, grip tight around Jasper's arm, afraid to even think about letting him go.
White and green filtered every crevice of her eyes; flowers dangled down from tops of trees surrounding them, petals, every now and then, falling to the ground, aimlessly; the same flowers fitted onto the corners of the benches. Everyone one looked, purity radiated from it all.
People surrounded every area of the alter, speaking worthless chatter to anyone they could find. It made Georgine feel as though she was about to panic, about to lash out at the next person that looked in her direction. Blood was pumping through every vain, all types possible present at that specific alter, and it almost sent her senses into overdrive. If she wasn't careful, she feared for the lives of those around her.
But, her nerves seemed to ease the more those thoughts swamped her mind━━a complete juxtaposition. Her head turned towards the vampire wrapped within her embrace, and found he was already looking at her, eyes bright and filled with adoration. A consoling smile ghosted on his lips, nodding to her, showing her that everything was okay.
Everything would be okay.
He nudged her arm. "You doing okay?"
Georgine sighed, careful to keep her mind focused on Jasper, on him, on the truth━━she wasn't a killer. "So far, so good." she whispered, her own smile peppering her face. "I think I'll be alright; I'm just overthinking, again━━all these nerves."
Jasper let out a breathy laugh, taking his hand to cup it along her cheek, thumb caressing across the pale, cold surface. No blood ran within them, and it was something that took a while for Georgine to wrap her head around. It was so weird━━knowing she now felt as cold as ice, exactly the same as Jasper, but when she was locked within his arms, body melting into his own, all she could feel was warmth. Georgine was forced to look at him, then (not like she wouldn't want to, anyway), eyes meddling into his own, staring deep within them, feeling as though she knew everything; every secret, every consequence that would come to loving him... but, she didn't seem to care. Not then.
"You are so strong━━probably the strongest person I've ever met." Georgine scoffed, beginning to believe that Jasper's word would just for her own comfort. "I'm serious," he laughed, "you can get through this, with or without help, because that's just who you are."
God, Georgine really loved him.
In the next moment, the pair were close to kissing. Their heads grew closer to one another, desperate to feel the touch of their love, eyes beginning to slowly flutter close. Georgine could feel the fondness radiating from his body, pure in nature, and it made her heart want to burst. But, before they could get another closer to attaching their lips, a voice broke out.
"Oh, I hope I'm not interrupting." Sandra Brodeur's voice cut through their intimate moment, a teasing smile on her lips, bringing her hands up to cover her face in amusement.
Georgine shook her head, breaking apart from Jasper, who brought a hand to rest upon her waist. "No, not at all, Mother."
Sandra Brodeur looked completely radiant. Georgine couldn't remember the last time she had seen her mother dress up so nicely, so elegantly (although, she guessed her mother could say the same thing about her). She was wearing a small, peach-white ensemble, a light grey cardigan, small in size, resting upon her shoulders, her hair staying down, resting upon her shoulders, but this time, curled.
The mother and daughter hadn't spent nearly as much time together as of recently as they would've liked. Georgine was due another visit home, prepared to continue on her facade of wanting to begin to flee from her mother's nest as she ascended into adult life, but as more problems piled on top of one another, it seemed almost impossible.
Georgine hadn't seen her mother since before she turned.
It was too dangerous to attempt to see Sandra Brodeur so close to her turning━━they simply couldn't risk her life, and Georgine would've refused anyway, if they had tried to get her to go along with it. So, their cover-up was that Georgine had fallen ill, and she didn't want to chance to possibility of passing her illness onto her mother. It had worked, for it was the first thing the concerned mother spoke about.
"Are you feeling all better now, then?" Her eyes were narrowed as she asked, cautious.
Her daughter laughed. "Yes, Mother━━I'm completely free from all diseases, or at least, that we know of."
Sandra Brodeur laughed along with her daughter, her feet then moving closer to the pair in front of her, happy that her daughter no longer carried some sort of disease. Then, she opened her arms wide, motioning for her daughter to bring her into a hug. Georgine paused, hesitant, taken aback━━she looked up to Jasper, consent written within her expression, and he nodded. She looked back to her mother, slowly creeping into her embrace, before her mother's arms tightened themselves around her nimble figure. It was definitely something she missed━━her mother's hugs. Ghosting her own arms around her mother, she soon relaxed in her hold, her shoulders easing up on their tension, and Georgine smiled in delight.
Not only was Georgine happy, but she was proud of herself. She had been so worried, so terrified, of coming into contact with a human, that she had let it get to herself. Repeatedly, she would tell herself, that if she were to even slightly touch a creature that had blood flowing through them, she would jump on them, tearing them to pieces. But, hugging her mother now, she realised she had only been overthinking, yet again. Because she wasn't a killer, and she could control her impulses, not matter how much they drove her into temptation.
Because she was strong.
Just like Jasper had said.
As they pulled out, Sandra seemed content with everything, looking at her daughter lovingly, dotingly, proudly━━even if it wasn't for the same thing. Sandra believed her daughter had grown into such a beautiful woman; following her dreams, never letting comes in front of her to try and stop her. She would always fight back.
The mother sighed, eyes flittering around them. "So, how about all of this, then?" A laugh tumbled out from her lips, beauty imbedded within her eyesight. "Everything's so beautiful, so well done━━Bella must love it."
Georgine scoffed. "I don't know about that━━she's more towards the simplistic side."
"Oh, nonsense, any girl━━especially a young one━━would love their wedding to look something like this." Her eyes then suddenly moved to land on the pair in front of her, a suspicious planted within her features, as they only looked back at the mother. "Speaking of weddings..." Oh, no, Georgine thought, she knew where this was going. "do you think there'll be another set of wedding bells, any time soon?"
The way Sandra Brodeur spoke showed how she was trying to be discreet, but she was anything but. She stared the couple down, expectant of a certain answer, pestering them about something they had never once spoken about. Georgine and Jasper had never even said they were together━━of course, they were; have you seen the way they are together, the way they look at one another━━they had just never said the words aloud.
Awkwardness began to seep in through her bones. Georgine spluttered for an answer, beginning to trip up on her words, and it only made her mother more curious. "I━━huh, Mother━━I don't really think━━"
"What I believe Georgine is trying to say," Jasper broke off the girl's rambling, hand patting itself against her waist, motioning for her to calm down. She breathed a sigh of relief, happy Jasper had taken over, happy she didn't have to try and shut her mother down, "is that we're not really trying to rush into things, at the moment." Georgine nodded along to his words. "We're only young━━we have all the time in the world; forever."
Georgine bit the inside of her cheek, careful not to show the smile desperately trying to cling onto her features━━as if Jasper had really said that to her mother. Of course, she wouldn't understand it━━she would only believe that he had actually meant they were young, which they were, but they were young forever. Jasper was right; they had forever, so there was no point in rushing anything out. They had one another, and right then, that was all they could ask for.
"Hmm," Sandra hummed, deviousness evident in her irises, clearly not happy with their answer, but let in slide, nevertheless, "alright, alright. I best get back to my seat, then, seeing as they'll be starting soon."
They bid goodbye to her mother, a lingering hand clasped within Georgine's, and the girl wished she never had to let go. She watched her mother's retreating figure, solemnity reaching back through her, a wish on her lips that would never be fulfilled━━she missed her mother. Georgine turned back to Jasper, finding his stare already on her face, and, if it were even possible, a blush rose onto her cheeks, blossoming like a beautiful rose. She shook her head, "I'm really sorry about my Mother; she can get, well━━"
"It's fine, you don't need to apologise." Jasper chuckled, and it caused Georgine's heart to flutter a little. His stare turned lovingly. "You did really well just then."
Her smile brightened, creasing the sides of her eyes, and she clapped her hands on her face, covering her pride. "I did, didn't I?" Georgine Brodeur wasn't one for narcissism, but in that moment, she was completely, and utterly, proud of herself for showing so much strength around her mother, around a human.
"Yeah━━yeah, you did."
Jasper watched as the girl prided herself, a light jumping springing into her step, unable to move his gaze to anywhere else. He couldn't believe how lucky he had gotten, when he realised that Georgine was the one. Originally, he was completely terrified of trying to introduce himself, and instead, drove himself further and further away from his love, his destiny, his fate. Back then, Jasper Hale had little to no control over his impulses, similar to Georgine now, and he feared to get the girl involved in his retched life. So, he drove himself away, making himself believe that fate had set up the wrong path for him.
Now, he only wished he had met her sooner.
Don't get him wrong; he felt overwhelmed with happiness and joy that he had eventually plucked up the courage to speak to her, and now, he got to spend forever with her.
What more could he have asked for?
As his mouth opened to speak words filled with pure bliss and admiration, people began moving around, making their way to their respected seats. Quiet chatter faded away into mumbled whispers, until there was nothing that filled the awaiting ears but soft piano music, and everyone turned around, eyes adorning expectations as they landed on two figures, slowly beginning to walk down the aisle.
Her hand tightly gripping her father's arm, steady on her feet, Georgine could make out her friend's unsteady heart beat as one foot moved in front of the other. She watched as her dirt brown eyes bored into everything that surrounded her, taking every detail in, noticing every person attending, until they landed on Edward, stood aimlessly at the end. Her shoulders seemed to lessen, relax, ease, and they moved once more. Her pure white dress, mingling rightfully so into every flower around them, fixed itself upon her fragile figure so easily like it was made just for her. It trailed along as she moved, soft against the rough ground, petals upon petals following after her, like they were hers to command.
(Maybe they were, in that moment.)
As the father and daughter duo traipsed closer and closer to the end of the alter, Bella's eyes found Georgine's once more, brown on brown. They shared a moment of reassurance as Georgine could easily tell the nerves spiking within her friend, without even having to use her new enhanced abilities. A tight, anxious-looking smile wilted her face, not reaching her eyes━━she was happy, everyone knew that, but in that moment, everyone who knew of the supernatural knew that was her way of signing her mortal life away. That was the moment she would no longer be a pure-hearted human, but in time, a hunger-driven vampire.
Once Charlie had passed his beloved, only daughter into Edward's care, everyone took their seats. Jasper's hand clasped itself within her own embrace, his thumb rubbing gentle circles across her rough, glacial skin. She sent a virtuous smile his way. As the the man in front started speaking, beginning the ceremony that would inevitably change everything they came to know, Georgine couldn't help but notice, truly, for the first time, how much Bella and Edward seemed to fit. They had been through so much together; the threat and worry of Edward harming Bella, himself; the fear overtaking him, and leaving her to bear her pain alone; the hunt of an entire vampire army. But, in the end, they still ended up together, wrapped in one another's hold, never to let go again.
If that on its own didn't speak for their love, Georgine didn't know what else would.
She hoped, one day, she'd feel just the same.
(She just didn't know, one day at a time, she was inching closer and closer to it.)
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here on this glorious day to witness the union of Edward Cullen, and Bella Swan." The aforementioned pair turned to one another; Bella still seemed stiff in her movements━━understandable, Georgine thought, with every pair of eyes trained on just the two of them━━and they locked hands, eyes never once decreasing the love they held for the other. "Please, repeat after me. I, Edward Cullen..."
"I, Edward Cullen..." Edward spoke, voice soft but confident.
"Take you, Bella Swan..."
"Take you, Bella Swan..."
Georgine's heart was full of so much happiness and pride, in that moment, and she could feel in radiating from everyone around her.
"To have and to hold..."
"To have and to hold━━"
"━━For better or for worse." Bella finished off.
"For richer, for poorer━━"
"━━In sickness and in health."
"To love━━"
"━━To cherish. As long as we both shall live."
"I do."
"I do."
The newly married couple shared an intimate kiss with one another, their passion scattering into all of their surroundings. Happiness bloomed inside of each and every one of their guests, standing up to cheer and clap their hands.
And, in that moment, as the bride swooned herself into the crook of the groom's arm, she was no longer Bella Swan...
But, rather, Bella Cullen...
♡
As the sky grew dark, fairy lights flittered along every tree, dangling from every branch, the band played a soft symphony. Guests surrounded the entirety of the perimeter, cameras in hands and astonishment clear on their features.
Georgine's hand was tightly wrapped around Jasper's, as he and Alice (wearing a light purple dress that fitted her slim figure; shimmering against the moonlight) led her to a group of guests she recognised, standing around the cake as they took it all in.
Upon their arrival, Georgine noticed it was Mike, Eric, Jessica and Angela, her old group of friends which she hadn't spoken to in eons. It felt weird seeing them again, because the last time she had been in their company, she had been human, just like them. Now, she was just a potential threat.
"Hi!" Jessica's voice reverberated, octaves higher than usual.
"Hi, guys." Alice softly replied, innocence on her tongue.
Angela turned to look at Georgine, noting how close she was to Jasper's body. Georgine detected her stare, looking over to her former friend, and smiled knowingly.
"We were just saying how pretty everything is, you know, just saying."
Alice gasped, loving the attention her ideas were getting. "Thanks so much... you don't think it's too much?" she second-guessed herself.
"No...!"
"Not at all..."
Georgine felt a tiny laugh bubbling on the tip of her tongue as she understood their true thoughts about the ceremony and the reception━━to them, it was too much. Everything was twice the size it should be, twice the amount they should have... still, Georgine Brodeur couldn't believe the outcome that came from just one mind alone.
"Um," Jessica's (once annoying━━Georgine guessed it wasn't too bad when you didn't have to hear it everyday) voice cut through, gaining the attention of the three vampires surrounding the table that held the cake, "Georgine? Do you think we could have a quick word, alone?"
That was something she hadn't expected, to begin with, let alone being cautious. Georgine hadn't spoken to one person in their group for God knows how long━━she expected them to act like they had never met her before, and yet, it was the complete opposite. It almost made her feel giddy, that they still wanted to speak to her.
But, she stopped as she remembered what she was now. Sure, after recalling the moment she had embraced her mother after so long, she should have felt confident in speaking with the four humans alone, but she wasn't. Because, the last time she had spoken to Jessica, she was sure the girl had annoyed her, even just a little bit. Georgine was worried that, if her mood were to change to annoyance, or even to anger, she would lash out, and that thought alone terrified her.
She didn't know how long it had taken her to reach a decision, but next to her, Jasper and Alice gave her looks of encouragement, speaking silent words that showed they believed in her━━that, in itself, helped her believe in herself.
Nodding her head to the group, signalling that she would follow after them, they guided her just a few paces away from their original spot. Turning around, Georgine sent one last questioning look at Jasper, only for him to nod in approval. When she turned back, she found four pairs of awaiting eyes on her figure, and she suddenly understood Bella's nerves from earlier that day.
"Uh, I━━" Georgine began.
"So, what's the deal?" Jessica cut her off, surprising the vampire, who continued to gape with her mouth slightly open. She shook her head, brows furrowed, not seeming to understand the girl's question. "You know... with Bella?" She tried to hint the meaning behind her question further, like it was obvious, and Georgine only shrugged in confusion. Jessica, not-so-subtly, rolled her eyes. "Oh, my━━"
Angela cut in. "She's trying to ask you if Bella's pregnant."
She was definitely taken aback, then. Bella... pregnant? Where would they have heard that from... and why?
Georgine stumbles along her words, hands fiddling with each other. "What━━why would Bella be pregnant?"
Jessica sent her a look that stated it was obvious. (It wasn't.) "Because she's 18, and she's just got married━━who else does that, if they're not expecting?"
Georgine couldn't seem to wrap her mind around the fact that they truly had an inkling of suspicion that Bella was pregnant━━all of them. To Georgine, it was just... crazy. But, she supposed from an out-lookers perspective, they were just assuming. They were wrong, but just assuming.
"Uh, no, she's not pregnant." Georgine denied, watching as Jessica slumped in defeat. "They're just in love━━isn't that enough to want to get married?"
Her question ultimately went unanswered, as Jessica looked around them, eyes scoping out for the couple evident in their current conversation. She shook her head. "I could've sworn I was right... I'm normally right."
Georgine could only quietly scoff.
It took everything in her power, all of her energy, to not let her mood change, trying to focus on wherever Jasper was, somewhere behind her.
Angela seemed just as curious as Georgine. "About what?"
Jessica's head snapped in her direction, then, eyes ablaze and alight. She motioned towards the (unknown) vampire in front of them. "Well, Georgine, for a start."
Said girl, remaining to stand a good amount of feet away from them, tilted her head, questioning the narcissistic girl.
Jessica derided, again, acting as though her Georgine's words were stupid, acting as though the answer obvious, staring at them dead in the eyes. "You and Jasper." She explained, and realisation filtered its way onto her features, her expression easing. "I called that shit from day one, didn't I?"
She hated to admit it, but Jessica's words were true. From day one, like she had previously said, Jessica was always there stating that Georgine had a crush on the, as she deemed him, one in pain, even if it was just a speck of a crush. In the beginning, Georgine remembered denying it relentlessly, to no end━━but, back then, she supposed she didn't really understand the possibility of her having a crush on him.
Now, looking back on it, she knew she always had done.
(Just like he always had done, to her.)
An argument was brewing on tip of her tongue, ready to let it out and do its job, but she couldn't bring herself to it. Not only was she worried of the anger that would bubble in the pit of her stomach, ready to erupt and cause Georgine to turn feral, she knew Jessica was also right. And, there was no point in arguing against her, because she knew it, too.
So, Georgine only released a breathy laugh, eyes widening but bright and beautiful, the ghost of a smile tingling her lips. She nodded lightly, coming to terms with Jessica actually being right, and turned around, spotting Jasper already looking in her direction. "Yeah," she breathed, her smile only continuing to blossom the more her eyes stayed trained on Jasper, "I guess you were right."
God, Jessica was definitely right.
♡
For a while, everyone had taken to the dance floor, mingling with their partners and basking in the love that filled the atmosphere. Jasper had (somehow) managed to convince Georgine to dance with him, but she made sure it wasn't for long.
Her light-peach dress billowed as their feet graced along the floor, hands gripped within one another's, eyes never moving from each other. Georgine hated the idea of dancing, even if she was surrounded by others who were doing the same, but Jasper made the art of dancing seem to beautiful, so elegant, that it was all she wanted to do, as long as she was doing it with him.
Not long after, guests had migrated to their assigned tables━━petals and bunches of beautiful flowers adorning the surfaces; tall candles standing tall, emitting just inches of light in the darkened area (but, it was astonishingly beautiful, all the same)━━awaiting the speeches that were to come. Bella had politely asked Georgine to carry one out, too, cautious of her response in case she would decline. But, of course, to Georgine, there was no other answer. She was slightly anxious about going up and speaking to the huge crowd, but it was her best friend's wedding, and she'd do anything for her.
Emmett was the first to take to the stage, tapping the microphone so as to check it was working. "Excuse me? Is this on? Ok━━hello?" He suddenly perked up when he noticed all eyes on him. "Um, I'd like to propose a toast, to my new sister. Bella, I hope you've gotten enough sleep these last 18 years, 'cause you won't be getting any more for a while."
Awkward laughs were emitted from the crowd, and Georgine gaped in disbelief. She turned to Jasper, who's arm was lent against her chair. "Did he really just say that? Does he know what that sounds like to everyone else?"
Jasper only laughed, shaking his head.
Then, it was Jessica's turn. "Well, Bella was just like everybody else━━totally mesmerised by Edward. Or, The Hair, as I call him." She chuckled. "And then, suddenly, Edward is... all about Bella." Georgine shook her head, noticing how unbelieving obvious the jealousy was radiating from her. "Even though she's not the captain of the volleyball team. Huh, I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding... or, the president of the student council."
Charlie. "Edward will be a good husband. I know this because... I'm a cop. I know things. Like, how to hunt somebody to the ends of the Earth." Everybody laughed at the obviousness of Charlie's threatening. "And, I know how to use a gun."
Alice. "Now that you're my sister, you'll have to get over your aversion to fashion." Georgine scoffed. "Skirts, heels, handbags."
Renée. Bella had mentioned to Georgine sometime the day before, that she was slightly worried about what her mother's speech would entail. (She seemed right to be worried.) "Go to sleep, my love." The mother sang, tears brimming in the corners of her eyes, "Go to sleep, when you wake, you'll see me."
After that, it was Georgine's turn, heads and gazes turning to her as they awaited her speech. She took a deep breath, before walking up and onto the stage, standing in front of the microphone. Noticing Bella, sat on the table directly in front of the stage, she seemed to calm down, knowing that Bella truly wanted her there.
"Huh," she laughed lightly, "hi, my name's Georgine, and I guess I'm Bella's best friend?" She watched as Bella laughed along with the rest of the crowd, her head nodded along with her smile. "I've basically known Bella since she first arrived here in this small town━━she was like a lost, little lamb in this huge, new world. I think, from the start, I loved Bella, purely because she was just... Bella. And, I know that I will forever continue to love Bella, like she's my sister." A look of fondness overtook her expression, and she couldn't help but feel like Bella was her sister, despite them not sharing the same genes.
"And, then, Bella met Edward." A chuckle escaped her lips, similar to the crowd. "Suddenly, it was like Bella found her other half, her soulmate. I know they belong together, forever, just by looking at them. Edward will love her the way she deserves to be loved," Georgine began, similar to Charlie's words, "not only because I can see it in his eyes every time he looks at her... but, because I'll kill him, if he doesn't."
Laughs emitted from around the crowd, guests beginning to clap as she finished her speech, making her way down the stage and back to her seat, next to Jasper. When she sat, Jasper's hand fell down own the other side of her shoulder, patting it. He whispered in her ear, "See? Wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be."
Georgine only nudged him, teasingly, in the side.
Edward was the last person to say his speech━━a glass of champagne tight in his grip, his other hand deep within his pockets, eyes staring intently at his new wife. "It's an extraordinary thing to meet someone who you can bare your soul to. And who will accept you for what you are." Hidden meaning peeked our from behind Edward's words━━he was completely fascinated with the idea that Bella could even begin to think about loving someone like him... she wondered if Jasper ever felt that way. Even if he did, it wouldn't matter anymore, with them both, now, being the same creature. I've been waiting, what seems like a very long time, to get beyond what I am. And with Bella, I feel like I can finally begin." Seconds dwindled by, romantic symphonies playing softly in the background, coming from the band. "So, I'd like to propose a toast to my beautiful bride. No measure of time with you will be long enough. But, let's start with forever." People raised their glasses, drinking in cheers for the newly wedded couple.
Not long after their meals, people migrated once more into party-mode; people were dancing crazily along the dance floor, as up-beat music, this time, played dramatically against the speakers. People were enjoying themselves more than ever, Georgine included. Before, she didn't believe that so close to when she had been bitten and turned, she would feel so elated, such happiness. But, she was.
And, it was all thanks to Bella and Edward...
The happily married couple, who couldn't seem to break from each other's embrace...
Groups of guests lingered by to see the pair off, as they made their way down the steps and towards the car, awaiting their presence. Bella and Edward were slowly getting around everyone, saying their goodbyes and people wishing them the best of times on their honeymoon. Slowly but surely, the couple parked themselves in front of Georgine, standing not too far away from Jasper, who edged her on to speak with Bella.
Instantly, Georgine went in to wrap her best friend in a hug, and she saw Bella recoil back quickly, confusion written across her features as she didn't understand why Georgine was suddenly so keen for human contact. She began to reassure her. "It's okay━━I hugged my mother earlier, and it wasn't too bad."
Bella looked up to Edward, who nodded in approval, wanting to let the girls finally embrace after so long. The human jumped straight into the hug, weaving her nimble arms tightly around Georgine's neck, bringing her as close as she possibly could. In the beginning, Georgine stiffened, eyes widening, but she relaxed when she remembered that this was her best friend, she wouldn't kill her, she was the one in control, she was strong. It felt weird hugging Bella again, Georgine thought, as she noticed Edward pulling his brother into his hold, too, but she fully enjoyed it, all the same, wishing she never had to let go.
But, ultimately, Bella had a honeymoon to attend.
As they broke apart, they kept close in distance. A short smile played on Bella's lips. "I'm proud of you."
It was short and sweet, and it filled Georgine's heart, completely.
She laughed. "Huh, I'm proud of you, too." Georgine could see the perplexity beginning to creep along her friend's features, and saved her the breath of asking. "For achieving so much. I know you might not think you have, but, trust me, from an outsider's perspective, you have." Tears began to brim at the ends of Bella's eyes, and Georgine suddenly felt guilty━━she didn't want the bride, of all people, to cry on their wedding day.
As quickly as she thought it over, Bella brought Georgine into her hold, again. She whispered in her ear. "I'm gonna miss you."
Georgine enveloped her stiff (but getting-there!) arms around Bella, once more, a small scoff escaping her lips. "Don't be silly━━you'll only be gone for a couple of weeks, and then we'll be seeing each other... forever." The once foreign word tasted so familiar on all of their lips, now. The idea of Bella becoming what she now was, was still a bitter thought in her own mind, but she made sure to push it back as far as possible━━if it was what Bella wanted, and she truly wanted it, who was she to deny her of that? She patted her friend's arm, gesturing with her head towards the car. "Now, go on. You've got a honeymoon to go to."
Bella gave her one last smile, Edward sending a comforting one over, too, whispered words of thank you lingering in their air, before they were off, climbing into the vehicle and waving one last goodbye to their family and friends.
Edward and Bella Cullen wouldn't be seen for another couple of weeks, and then, it would be forever...
NOTE.
i contemplated with the idea of calling this chapter either 'bella cullen' or 'forever',, and as u can see, went with the latter. idk,, it just kind of felt better?? considering now, they are going to all be spending forever together. 🤍✌🏻
