Moonlight pours across the snow covered ground.
His hand is laced in a soft grip with the boy next to him.
The two trudge across the field icy wind whipping all around.
Step after step the sound of their walking muffled to near silence.

Making it to their front door they walk inside locking out the cold.

Collapsing onto the bed the lovers sigh in content to be home.

A arm draped across his side pulls him close.
Cool lips touch his skin as he takes the tired boy into his arms grateful for his warmth.
