when thalia heard about the task, her mind was immediately roaming with ideas and inspiration. what could she possibly add to the castle's gallery? she thought of how she would leave her mark on the palace and logically came to her career, botany. so she began to sketch and collect pictures from things she had brought with her as well as sent letters to her mother requesting images of her apartment and greenhouse. she sketched and painted over the images, throwing random natural imagery throughout the canvas.

she ended up with this piece that she titled within the piece, "the art of botany."

thalia was proud of the piece she made and how it demonstrated her love for plants but also her knowledge for plants and painting skill.
