Chapter Eleven: You're a cyber-stalker!

"How long are you guys here for, again?" Victor asks as he pulls a hoodie over his head and ruffles his hair to mess it up and then swipe it to the side in what he would call a style but was really just plain laziness. It worked for him, though.

"Uh. We go home on Monday. So we've got today, tomorrow, the next day and then we go home..." John replies, sighing a little at the thought of their time here being nearly over.

"Oh. So, you have three days here... and Sherlock's just having his first date with Jim?" Victor winces at the thought of Sherlock having to say goodbye to Jim.

Molly bites her lip and doesn't involve herself in the conversation. John can't bring himself to reply to the question and so they all lapse into silence. None of them wanted to see Sherlock upset and they're the three people that know very well Sherlock is far more sensitive than he will ever allow any one to believe. He'll be heart broken when he has to say goodbye to Jim.

"When are you guys back at uni?" Victor asks. "In a month, same as everyone else?"

Molly nods. "Yes. Why?"

"Do you think your parents will let you stay with me? I mean they know me and I'm older than you all. You can stay with me until you have to go back to uni and it'll be like the good old days. The four of us..."

"That's sounds great, Vic, but getting our parents to agree to this week was hard enough, never mind a whole month..." Molly says, chewing on her lower lip. "But we'll never know if we don't try."

Victor smiles widely. "My place is big enough that if your parents wanted to come up, they can. Well, not all at once. Like one set of parents at a time."

John and Molly exchange an excited glance before looking to Victor, who grins back.

"We might be able to convince them if we say about them visiting."

Victor nods. "That's great! It still shocks me how protective all your parents are. John's nearly twenty and you must be approaching nineteen, right Molly? You're all adults, when you think about it."

"In our parents eyes, all four of us will forever be those five to nine year olds that shoved crayons in each other's ears before we wanted to know how Aunt Liz felt." John laughs.

Victor chuckles, eyes crinkling. "Yeah, we will be, huh? And for the record, I don't think being deaf felt like that."

Once they're done laughing and being nostalgic, the finish getting ready and start to make their way to the venue for the YouTube convention. They'd planned to meet Sebastian and Irene here for the first half of the day and later, after their date, Sherlock and Jim would join them.

The lounge area, there wasn't much other way to describe it, was the same as yesterday except someone had obviously cleaned and Molly doubted it was mainly the YouTubers. Some would have probably helped and they didn't make a terrible mess in the first place but she still didn't see Irene and Sebastian, for example, sticking around to tidy up.

"Molllllllls!"

"Jooooohnny!"

Sebastian and Irene seemed to have synchronised the cries of John and Molly's nicknames before each of them was tugged away by the person that had shouted for them. John finds himself at the air hockey table with Sebastian again and Molly was sitting with Irene and some of the other girls that liked to just sit around and chat.

Victor looks between them both before sighing. "Well, I guess I'm the fifth wheel."

He grabs a can coke from the fridge and sits on one of the sofa's, taking out his phone and texting a few of the friends he made while he was in Ireland.

Seeing as he had nothing better to do, Victor decides to search the web for facts about Jim. It's his job as the eldest of their friend group to stalk Sherlock's date and check out whether or not he's good enough for his friend, after all.

Unfortunately, Jim internet presence meant there was no chance of Victor finding Facebook accounts or anything without maximum privacy settings. He did find his Tumblr, though, and that was full of Nintendo (Pokémon, mainly) and a large number of selfies.

He found a lot of trivia stuff on fan sites and Wikipedia, too.

First, the obvious stuff about his YouTube channel. He started it three years ago, when he was seventeen (that made him twenty now - a year older than Sherlock) and since then he's collected over three million followers.

There's little about his family. He's got no siblings - as far as anyone knows - and his family is originally from Ireland. He mentions his mother in some videos but doesn't say anything personal about her.

He's currently in university and works as a radio host with another YouTuber every other Saturday. The YouTuber he hosts with changes every show but Sebastian has been on a fair number of them - no surprise - and a YouTuber called Joseph Birdsong has also joined him a few times.

His fans call themselves his Subjects because of a video where he referred to himself as their king and he even wore a crown and everything - there was a picture on the wiki page beside the information.

Jim is also a keen supported of the Great Orman Street Hospital and regular has fun raisers for the charity. If there was a reason for his undying support than the fans were unaware of it.

John strolls over some time later and falls into the seat beside him, smirking. "You need to turn the brightness down."

Victor looks up from his phone for the first time in the past hour. "Huh?"

"The brightness of your phone. If I stand behind you, I can easily see that your stalking Jim online."

"Am not." Victor quickly argues. John raises an eyebrow and Victor sighs. "Fine, I was. But.. he's taking our baby out on a date, I need to know he's good for Sherlock. What if he ends up like one of the Disney kids? I mean, you've seen Miley, right?"

Jim grins and gives what can only be described as a perverted chuckle. "Mmm, I definitely have seen her."

Victor raises an eyebrow. "You like girls? I thought you decided that you're gay."

John can help but glance around, checking no one was within hearing distance. "I dunno. I gave up with all the labels. I don't know if I'm straight or gay or bi or what. So, I gave up with labels."

A hand is held up and they high five.

"Learning from the best, good man."

"Oh, get off your high horse. I'm pretty sure 'the best' doesn't cyber-stalk his friends dates."

"I wasn't cyber-stalking him!"

"You're a cyber-stalker!" John resorts with a childish, lopsided grin.

Victor pouts before he looks over his shoulder, scanning the room. He then grins widely at John. "Oh, I see how it is. Only come to see me once Sebastian's disappeared, huh?"

John snorts, scowling at his friend. "No. Well, yeah, but it's not how you're implying."

Victor just hums, letting the matter slide... for now. He looks back at his phone and he turns down the brightness, making John smirk victoriously. Victor flips him off and locks his phone before he moves a bit closer, making it obvious to other people that he was having some one-on-one time with his friend and would prefer not to be disturbed.

"So, what's new other than Sherlock and this YouTuber? How's your family? And Molly's and Sherlock's? Ooh, how's that cutie, Mycroft?"

John laughs and shakes his head after the last question, putting his hand over his mouth and nose in a poor attempt to cover the loud pig-like noises he was making.

"Oh my God. I can't wait for you to come visit. It's been too long since you've confused Mycroft with your flanter - Oh, and he's working his way up the ranks in the government. Everyone else is fine. Uh, Molly's eldest sister had a baby.. That's about the only thing that's new."

Victor nods, smiling brightly. "I'll definitely have to come visit - to see the baby and all. With the government thing, though, we all knew he was destined for success. Both those brain-box Holmes brothers are."

"Rich kids, huh?" John shrugs.

That makes them both laugh and soon they're laughing at every other comment. It was nice, really. It had been so long since any of them had seen Victor and, God knows how, John had actually forgotten just how side-splittingly funny Victor is.

As Victor had hoped, they aren't interrupted by anyone. Well, not until Sebastian returns anyway and steals John away for some air hockey. Victor was pleased with the way John glared and flipped him off when he winks and mouthed 'Get in there!'

Seeing as, unlike his friends, there was no one here that wanted to steal him away, Sebastian stands and yells to Molly that he's heading into the main area and that she should text when Sherlock appears. After receiving a thumbs up from the girl, who was sat on the counter beside another girl (Irene, Sebastian thinks) and drinking a fizzy pink drink of some kind, Sebastian waves and ducks out the door.

He's never been a keen YouTubee. If that's even what they call themselves... He's got no clue. But he's seen a few amusing videos and such on the site. A friend in Ireland was in love with the site and someone on there called UhOhBro or something.

After wondering around for a bit, Victor discovers that all the YouTubers here this week are British and so UhOhBro wasn't here.

He makes his way down the line of table again; getting elbowed and pushed and he even felt a hand on his bum. There's so many people.

It's like a concert but with even more shoving. He doesn't even understand how there can be more shoving than at a concert! Obnoxious arseholes.

Deciding that he wasn't going to get very far at all this way, Victor pulls out his phone to text his friend that likes YouTube so he can get a poster or something for her from one of her favourite British YouTubers (There was someone called Dan that he thinks she may have mentioned).

His phone is knocked out of his hand almost as soon as it gets it out, though, the sea of people still bashing into him from all sides. He stumbles, shocked by the fact his phone was now a metre away, smashed to pieces.

Victor stumbling causes a domino-like effects and a number of people stumble and sway before he falls on his arse, another boy tumbling down to the floor with him and landing on top of him, knocking all the air out of his lung and not in the good way.

"Ugh..." Victor huffs, laying flat on the ground. He turns his head and looks at his phone. "My poor phone... R.I.P."

The person - boy, blonde boy - wiggles and pushes himself up, staring at Victor with wide eyes before he follows Victor's line of sight to the destroyed phone.

"Oh my God! I'm so fucking sorry. This girl shoved me—"

"Woah, dude, calm down. Before you start crying, can you get off me?" Victor asks, giving a short smile as a way of telling the boy (who seriously looked close to tears) that it's not the end of the world.

"Fuck! Sorry, sorry, oh God, sorry!" The blonde scrambles to get to his feet and he holds a hand out to Victor.

The brunette smiles and takes the offered hand, letting the blonde help him up.

"Thanks." He says, dusting himself off once he's stood.

The boy is a whole head shorter than Victor - who isn't that tall for a twenty-two year old. His got a soft face but he's at least the same age as Molly (eighteen). He's got eyes that remind Victor of the sky when it's about to rain cats and dogs.

"Why are you thanking me? I killed your phone." He asks with a nervous laugh.

Victor shrugs. "It happens. Seriously, chill, I'm not going to beat you or anything."

The boy nods, giving that nervous chuckle again, and walks with Victor to the dead phone. Victor picks up the battery, SIM card and puts them in his pocket before he pushes on his tip toes to look around the room.

His eyes come back to rest on the blonde. "Can you go and find some staff? We need to clean up the broken glass."

The boy nods and rushes off to do as Victor asked.

The matter of the broken glass and bits of phone are dealt with quickly and the member of staff that came with the dustpan and a rubbish bag thanked them for being nice enough to come tell them and not just leave it.

The boy hovers once the staff has gone and Victor glances at him, raising an eyebrow.

"Not to be rude, but don't you have a YouTuber you want to see?"

"Oh, well, yes. But Jim isn't here until two."

Victor nods, not mentioning anything about knowing Jim. Probably best for everyone's sake.

"Don't you want to line up so you can see him sooner rather than later?"

A shake of his head, flopping blonde air going everywhere. It's then that Victor notices the deep purple rings under the boy's eyes. Like he hasn't had more than four hours sleep over the past week.

"No. I'm not a fan - well, I am. But, he's an old friend. I just want to talk to him for a bit. He changed his number... and we lost contact."

Victor nods. "I see. Well, I've got nothing better to do. Wanna just wonder around with me....?"

"Liam." The blonde smiles and offers his hand. "And yeah, that would be great."

Victor nods and shakes his hand, smiling. "Nice to meet ya, Liam."
