SYLAQ'S POV

THERE'S nothing better than having her body wrapped around mine in this cold river. I trailed down her wet silver blonde hair. After what happened this morning, I thought that she would go far away from me but she's in my arms right now and I'm not gonna let her go. Her hazel eyes held my gaze and she said, "it's peaceful here."

"Yeah, it is. Since I loved this river so much, I personalized it and no one dared to come here."

"You're selfish," she giggled.

"I just don't like sharing what I love."

"But you're sharing it with me now," she muttered while using her fingers to trace my jawline.

"I don't mind sharing it or anything else with you 'cause you are mi vida," I honestly told her.

ARIELLA'S"s POV

One thing I'm sure of is that I'm loving this moment so why should I walk away from a chance to be happy? Sylaq might have been a vampire beast but I am sure that he's never gonna physically hurt me. Besides, he saved me from that car accident. He sheltered me and he always saved me from Bella's attacks. Yes, he's not what I signed up for but this moment is worth giving him a chance.

Sylaq splashed the cold water on me to bring me out of my thoughts.

"Hey, that was not needed," I told him.

"But it worked," he laughed. I splashed water back at him and he retaliated.

"Really? I'll show you who's better at this game," he smirked while splashing more water at me.

Hmm, I have an idea.

I immediately started coughing hard and Sylaq quickly stopped the splashing.

"Are you okay? Gently cough out the water. I'm sorry," he said with so much worry that he didn't use his vampire instincts to detect that I'm just pretending. Before I could even tell him that I was just pretending, he brought me out of the river and laid me on the river bank. I started giggling and he finally noticed that I was joking.

"Do you think it's funny?" The asked.

"It's so funny. You should have seen how scared you were.," I said while laughing.

"I'll get you back for this," he said while looking at my wet half naked body hungrily.

"How?" I asked while reaching for his arms.

"Like this," he said while pressing his wet body to mine.
"Sylaq, please stop. We can't do it here," I told him but he kept on ravishing me with pleasurable kisses.

"You asked for it," a victorious smirk appeared on his perfect face. I smiled and gave his kisses. His fingers trailed down to my shorts and he slowly removed them. He robbed my center slowly making me moan for mercy.

SYLAQ'S POV

Her center is always too wet for me. I feel like licking all her juices right now. I looked at her for permission and she nodded her head in agreement. I immediately buried my head in her center sucking all her sweet juices. She moaned with pleasure as I used my tongue to caress her feminine bead. She used her fingers to wiggle down my hair and I felt something that I'd never felt before.

ARIELLA'S POV

He slides his finger into my center making me feel giddy. I could only use my fingers to run through his lovely hair.

He was eating my center so hungrily that I couldn't help but have an orgasm. He aroused igniting sparks of bunting passion between us.

"Fuck, you taste like heaven," he said in his husky voice making my flushed cheeks blush even more. It started snowing heavily and Sylaq stopped.

"The snow doesn't affect me but you might get sick so let's finish this at home," he said as he kissed my thighs.

Fuck the snow, I wanted us to continue, I didn't want us to stop but it was logical that we did. "Oh okay," I said while removing my fingers from his hair. He got up and helped me get dressed. He gave me his black hoodie to wear when he noticed Th that I was shivering in my gown.

"Will you drive half naked?" I asked.

"Nope, I'll walk half naked since I didn't bring my car," he smiled while wearing his jeans. I don't mind him being half-naked but the thought that other girls would stare at his perfect manly body made me feel jealous.
"Oh", I scowled.

"I don't want you to catch a cold," he justified.

"I know that."

His green eyes met mine and he asked with a smirk, "are you jealous?"

"No, I'm not. Why would I be?" I refused to admit that I'm jealous.
"Your face shows otherwise", he giggled.

"Stop giggling," I said. He came towards me and carried me bridal style.

"Why are you carrying me?"

"They can't stare at my body without seeing you in my arms. I'm sending them a message that I'm yours."

My heart fluttered at his choice of words. My heart always fluttered whenever he spoke like that. He said that he's mine. Does he mean that or not?

We are halfway close to the castle and so many people stared at us. Some smiled while some scowled. My happiness was short-lived when we bumped into Jenny.

Sylaq continued walking ignoring her presence. He could have sprinted to the castle but I wanted to linger in his arms for much longer.

"He doesn't love you. He could never love you 'cause his heart is mine," Jenny's voice was much louder than necessary.

Her words made me angry so I said, "it wasn't me that screwed up your relationship so fuck off. The fact that you're his mate doesn't mean that he is yours."

"The mate bond...." Sylaq interrupted Jenny.

"Fuck the mate bond," he said.

"Sylaq, Zac tricked me," the bitch started crying.

"I don't give a fuvk about that," Sylaq said.

I kissed his heart and said feeling so confident, "we share a bond much more powerful than you could ever dream of."

Her tears turned into laughter and she said, "just because of your moment in the river you think you have a bond."

How did she know about the river? Did she see us? But Sylaq said that he personalized the river.

She continued loudly gaining the attention of the crowd, "Sylaq and I have made love countless in that river so you... were saying?"

What the fuck?
"Put me down," I said feeling embarrassed.

"Ariella!" He called out.

"I said put me down!" I barked and he put me down, I turned to see that Jenny and a few other vampires or werewolves were mocking me.

I'm such a fool for following my heart.

"Fuck the two of you," I said.

"Ariella, can't you see that she's trying to spoil our relationship", Sylaq said.

"We don't have a relationship," I shouted.

"And what about my beating heart? The heart that beats for you," he said.

"You told me that the heart always knows and like a fool I believed you but the heart knows nothing," I said while walking away.

"What the hell are you staring at?" Sylaq groaned aloud making everyone run away from the scene.

Well, Jenny wiggled away feeling so victorious.

This is so humiliating for me. I should have known that the heart knows nothing.
