A buzzing awoke (Y/n), pulling the girl out of her deep morning slumber. It was the weekend, and she was planning on relaxing.

Groaning a bit, she lifted her head and picked up her phone, looking at the screen. She perked up when she saw who was calling.

It was her best friend, Griffin Turner. The two liked to hang out all the time, and (Y/n) may have the teeniest tiniest crush on him.

She sat up, answering the phone. "Hey Griffin!" She greeted the person on the other end of the line.

"Hey, what's up (Y/n)?" Turner asked her. "The sky" She joked, making Griffin chuckle, "Nothing much, just sleeping in, you?" She asked.

"Same here" He replied, "I was actually calling because I got two tickets for (F/m) at the theater and was wondering if you'd like to come with"

"Yea! I'd love to come!" She said enthusiastically, "Great! I'll be by your place in a flash" He said, hanging up the phone.

(Y/n) put down her phone, just about to go get dressed. The doorbell stopped her,and she rolled her eyes with a smile.

She opened the door, looking at Turner as he grinned widely. "Dude, at least give me the chance to get dressed" She chuckled, letting him inside.

"Hey, I said I'll be here in a flash didn't I?" He says lightheartedly, leaning on the wall with a smirk.

"Actually, you were a minute and two seconds away from a flash" (Y/n) retorts lightheartedly.

Griffin pouts, "Do you have to be so technical?"  he whined, crossing his arms a bit with a small, barely audible huff.

"Yes, I do," (Y/n) said, walking away. "Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go get dressed."

(Y/n) came out, wearing a nice but casual outfit. Turner looked over and grinned at her "Ok, ready to go?" He asked.

(Y/n) nodded, and the two headed out the door. "Hey, wanna race?" Turner asked the girl with a smirk. "You'd obviously win, why-"

"Ok, 3 2 1 go!" He shouts, cutting her off and taking off to the theater. (Y/n) sighed and shook her head, taking off after him.

She went a little ways before she realized....  There was a shortcut

If she was quick enough, she just might beat him to the theater. Feeling competitive, (Y/n) sped off, running as fast as she could as she took the shortcut.

A little while later, she was beginning to feel winded as the theater came into view. She chuckled as she ran up to the front near the entrance.

She chuckled, not seeing Turner there. She muttered under her breath as she panted, "Guess I finally beat-"

"BOO!" Someone grabbed her shoulders, and acting on instinct she rammed her elbow behind her, hitting the person in the stomach.

They let go, and she whipped around to see Turner hunched over holding his stomach. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as he looked up at her.

"You didn't have to elbow me," He said, getting up. "You know better than to spook me like that" She responded.

He just shrugged and opened the door, "Ladies first" He said, that classic grin of his returning as he looked at (Y/n).

"Yes, ladies first, Griffin" (Y/n) said, opening the other door and doing a small bow "I insist, Miss Turner"

He dramatically placed a hand on his chest in mock hurt, "Ouch, (Y/n), you wound me" He said, letting go of the handle and letting the door fall shut.  

"You're going to need some ice for that burn, bud" A passing girl said, overhearing the two's conversation as she opened the door and walked inside.

(Y/n) chuckled as Turner crossed his arms and huffed. "Come on, let's go see the movie" she said, ruffling his hair.

"Alright, alright" He said, batting away her hand. The two walked in, going to see the movie together.

"That was pretty good," Turner said as they exited the movie theater. "Yea, it was" (Y/n) agreed, smiling.

"Hey, we still got a bit of time left" He comments, looking at a clock. "Wanna go for a run or something?" He asked.

"How about a walk, I'll never be able to keep up with you if we go on a run" (Y/n) said, elbowing him silently reminding him the last time they went on a run; He ended up leaving her in the dust, literally.

He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, "Sorry about that" He said. (Y/n) just laughed, recalling the memory "It's fine" She says.

"Hey, I heard the park looks really pretty this time of year" He says, "Wanna go for a walk over there?" He asked.

"Sure, why not" (Y/n) replied with a shrug. The two head off to the park, casually talking as they walk.

The two joked, laughed, and had fun together as they walked in the park.

"The park really does look really pretty" (Y/n) comments, looking at all the trees. Some had flowers blooming all over them, making them look gorgeous.

Turner nods, gazing at the scenery with her. The two had stopped under a magnolia tree to take in their surroundings.

The park was peaceful, not many people were out at all, which left a nice open feeling to the place.

A flower had fallen down and landed onto (Y/n)'s (H/c) hair. She grabbed it, looking down at the pretty flower.

Turner took it from her, "Hey!" She exclaimed, looking at him. He just grinned and tucked the flower in her hair, behind her ear.

Turner lowered his glasses, enough to where they rested on the end of his nose and his eyes were clearly visible.

He gazed at (Y/n) "Looking good" He said. "Pfft, shut up" (Y/n) said back, blushing a bit but not moving the flower.

He just smirked and pushed his glasses back up over his eyes, feeling the satisfaction of making her blush

She saw one land on his shoulder, and she took it, placing it behind his ear. "Much better," she said with a satisfied smile watching as his cheeks turn pink.

"Hey, look who's turning red now, blushie boy" She teased, smirking as she watched his face go from pink to red.

"Shut up" He said, punching her lightly on the arm. She didn't hesitate to punch him back. They both chuckled, slowly falling into a peaceful silence.

Though, after a bit Griffin began to get fidgety.

(Y/n) noticed, "Hey, something wrong?" She asked. "What? No" He replied, "Everything's fine" He said.

(Y/n) lifted an eyebrow, but decided not to bother him about it. "Alright, if you say so" She said.

"Actually, I wanted to ask you something," He said, looking over at her and taking off his sunglasses.

"Shoot." She said, leaning against the tree with her arms crossed. "I was wondering if you'd like to maybe.. Go out on a date with me?" He asked as he scratched the back of his neck.

He looked hopefully into the girl's (E/c) eyes. "Sure, I'd love to" She replied, looking back with a smile.

"Wait, really?" He asked, "Yes really" She replied. Turner's eyes went wide and a large grin made its way upon his face.

"Yes!" He cheered, making (Y/n) chuckle as she watched him cheer happily at finally managing to ask her out.

It seems a romance between the two had begun to blossom.
