"Tara sa dancefloor, bessy." Kari invited me but I decline. I don't feel like dancing tonight.

I am just sitting sa guest table and enjoying my blood wine. The light is pretty dim in here but you can still see the people na sumasayaw.

A party song is playing at the moment.

"Dito ka lang little hyrbid?" I nodded without looking at Kade who asked me the question.

"Okay then. Bantayan mo si little hybrid, Kazan. Hahanap lang ako ng maiinom." Even though I am not looking at him I can still feel his playful grin.

Mahinang tumawa si Kazan.

"One at a time, bro. Mamaya maubos na ang mga tao dito sa hall." Kade also laughed sa sinabi ni Kazan.

Weirdos.

"Dito ka lang talaga?" I gave Kazan the obvious ba? look so he used his fingers to zip his mouth so I rolled my eyes on him.

A couple of hours had passed and naka upo lang kaming dalawa ni Kazan dito. Zurie and everyone are enjoying themselves sa dance floor.

"What time is it?" I asked Kazan na katabi ko and hindi ako iniwan dito sa table.

"11:55. Five more minutes," he answered.

Finally! This noble ball is kinda boring for my likings, too plain. Nakainom na ata ako ng halos sampung glass ng blood wine.

I wonder if anong ginagawa ni Kade ngayon? I am pretty sure he is enjoying his night drinking a hot bitch's blood.

"Nakita niyo si Kari?" Biglang lumitaw si Evan sa harap namin asking those question.

"Hindi eh. Maybe nasa dance floor?" Evan didn't answer. He looks to frustrated.

"Shit," he cussed and then tumakbo at pumunta sa dance floor.

I'm pretty sure nasa dance floor lang si Kari at sumasayaw. I know how much Kari loves dancing.

"The long wait is over ladies and gentleman." The music stopped at napunta kay Lady Kira ang spotlight.

Everyone stopped dancing at tumingin sa stage.

"Let us all raise our cabernets as we welcome the new king and queen of the city. Vladamir Fang and Selena Blitz." Everyone raised their glasses except me and my family.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Kazan and his eyes speaks a thousand words. He looks so worried sa akin.

Right in front of us is Vlad and Selena standing proudly habang naka taas ang hawak na wine glass.

Nakita kong napatingin si Vlad sa direction ko. Tinignan ko rin siya without showing any emotion. He look away and then he smiled to everyone.

"Cheers." He said.

"Cheers." everyone repeated as they all drink their wines.

"And as an honor to the land of Woodbourne, let us witness a blood sacrifice from the luna of the strongest pack which also serves as an honor to the blue moon." Napatayo ako sa upuan ko and ganon din si Kazan.

Sumilip ako sa open window ng hall and she's right. The moon is blue tonight. And what?! A blood sacrifice? Walang ganon sa mga noble ball!

"Let us all welcome, Kari Mizette." Napatakbo agad ako sa stage when I heard that name.

Two hunters entered the stage while holding Kari. Her dress is ripped and dirty, her hair looks so messy and she looks like she was beaten.

"What the fuck is the meaning of this?!" Kari lifter her head at tumingin sa akin. I can see her tears dripping all over her face.

She looks so hopeless.

My eyes turned yellow as I start punching the spell barrier na naka harang sa stage.

This fuckers are going to kill Kari as a blood sacrifice! The hunters believe that blood shedding and a life sacrifice will make their hierarchy stronger. And this fucking witches! They will offer Kari to the blue moon in exchange for more power.

We didn't see this coming.

Damn it!

"Fuck!" Evan started punching the spell barrier with me. Kari is silently crying while looking at us.

I'm gonna kill all this hunters! If they will succeed killing my family, I will fucking pledge with my soul to kill every single hunters and witches.

No one touches my family!

"The spell is too strong." Laurie said, trying to break the spell.

"Channel our powers." Morgan and Zamantha held Laurie's hands and they started casting some spell that can break this barrier.

"Vlad, stop them!" Tinignan niya lang ako sa sinabi ko. My anger started to build up even more dahil doon.

The students remained still at pinapanood lang nila kami. If makikialam sila, they know na the hunters will kill them.

"Lady Kira!" Evan shouted, asking for mercy. Huminga ng malalim si Lady Kira at hinigpitan pa ang hawak sa dagger.

"I'm sorry," she mouthed.

Mas lalong lumakas ang bawat pag suntok ko dahil dun.

"We'll handle the hunters." Narinig kong sabi ni Ash.

Ash, Zurie, Sid, Rhett, Kazan and Kade are stopping the hunters who tries to stop us.

"Do it, Kira." Simon and Medea showed up. I can feel my fangs growing.

"Papatayin ko kayo, fuck!" Evan's punches became even faster and stronger.

His hands are bleeding pero wala siya pakialam, his eyes are yellow and every veins on his body are starting to show up.

"Onti nalang." Laurie's voice is shaking habang nakapikit ang mata.

Lady Kira sliced her palm and then she started the ritual.

"Accept this sacrifice as an exchange for our power. Eṅkaḷ piracātattai ēṟṟukkoḷ" she closed her eyes as she keep repeating those words.

The rain is starting to fall, a strong wind touched our skin and we can all hear the loud sound of the thunder.

"Malapit na." Laurie whispered.

But she is too late. We are too late. I saw with my very own eyes how Lady Kira sliced Kari's neck, how her body fell into the ground.

Napaluhod si Evan sa sahig at yumuko. Blood is dripping from his hands.

A tear escaped on my eyes but I immediately wiped it off. The spell barrier is gone but we can't move an inch.

Astrea started crying. Lumapit sa amin sila Zurie. Rhett patted Evan's shoulder bago hinila patayo at yinakap.

Using my vampire speed, pinuntahan ko si Lady Kira. I harshly ripped her head off and then I pulled her heart out at tinapakan sa sahig.

Pinuntahan ko si Simon, this hunter is weak, bakit hindi ko pa ba to pinatay?

"Daddy!" Selena rushed papunta sa akin to stop me but I effortlessly pulled her heart out.

Simon's eye widened and he is about to attack me but I stopped him by ripping his head.

I heard a loud gasp from the students.

I can't control myself now. They just killed my family! They just fucking did!

Lumingon ako sa pwesto ni Vlad. Anger is taking over my body to the point that I can't even recognize him as the man I love.

He is holding Selena's dead body. I slowly walk papunta sa kaniya but someone stopped me through hugging me tight from the back.

"Stop it, mate. It's over."
