Percy, I swear if you poke my face one more time I'll cut off your whole hand and feed it to a shark." You grumbled as Percy tried to wake you up.

"(y/n), I've been trying to get you up for a few hours now. You missed breakfast so I brought you a waffle." He said as he waved a plate with waffles in your face.

"Waffles?!?" You said excited.

Percy laughed as you sat up quickly. "If you want them you have to come over here and get them." He said as he backed away.

That didn't end well for him.

You sat on your bed eating your waffles as Percy sat there trying to recover.

"Did you take boxing lessons or something?!?" He asked.

"No, but when someone wont give me my waffles I get a little aggressive." You replied.

"A little?!? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have a few bruises." He said.

You laughed and went to go put away your plate.

Nico's pov*

All night I tried to think of a way to make Percy like me again. I hated knowing that he no longer trusted me.

I heard a knock on the door followed by a voice. "Nico, its me." (y/n).

I walked over to the door and opened it. "Hey neeks, wanna do something today?" She asked happily.

I loved her smile.... wait what?

"Um sure, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"I don't know. Oh, but I heard there is a game of capture the flag later today!" She responded.

"Sounds great, by the way I heard Percy saying that he wants you to meet someone." I said.

"Ok, well I'm gonna go see who it is. I'll see you later Nico." She said as she started walking away.

"Yea, see ya later." I replied as I closed the door and went back to thinking.

I wonder what she thinks of me? What? Who cares you never cared what anyone thought before, why start now? But what if she doesn't like me and I'm just annoying her?

No, If she didn't like you she wouldn't be around you as much as she is now.

Maybe she just feels bad for you.

Maybe, maybe not.

(y/n)'s pov*

After you left Nico, you went to go find Percy.

"Hey Percy, someone told me you wanted me to meet someone." I said.

"Oh yea! (y/n), This is Mary. Mary this is (y/n)."

You looked at the girl and saw she was slightly taller than you with blond hair, blue eyes , fair and clear skin. She looked like a Barbie doll.

"Oh my gooosh, you must be Percy's little siiiis." She said with an annoying voice.

"Um yea, so what cabin do you belong in?" I asked as I gave Percy a face that was like 'really'.

"I don't know, but I hope I'm not the child of some lame goddess. I'm hoping for Aphrodite cuz she's like sooooo much more better than the others." Oh my gods, I'm about to punch her or something.

"I wouldn't be able to be the child of Poseidon like you. The smell of fish grosses me out, I dont like the color blue, and the cabin is too small and pathetic." Wow I'm about half a second away from slapping this barbie.

As if someone read my mind, I heard a voice whisper in my ear. "You cant punch her, wait till capture the flag."

I turn around and see Nico.

"Hey Neeks." I say with a smile.

" Hey (y/n), who's this?" He asks.

" This is Mary. She's new." I say with a smile that said 'get me out of here'.

Nico seemed to get the message because right after I said that he looked at Percy. "Hey Percy, is it ok if (y/n) and I go swimming until capture the flag tonight?"

"Yea, I guess. Keep an eye out for her. If she gets hurt, I'm holding you responsible." He said with a glare.

"Ok, see ya fishy!" You shouted as you ran to your cabin to get your bathing suit.

"Not funny!" He shouted back.

I had been swimming with Nico for about an hour and I was starting to get bored.

"Nico."

"What?"

"I'm bored."

"What do you want to do then?" He asked.

" I have an idea, follow me!" You said excited.

You walked up to the beach and waited for Nico. After he reached the beach you handed him a shovel and told him your plan.

After you finished you lit up the fire and sat down. "Well that was difficult." Nico says as he sits down next to you.

"Oh, it wasn't that hard you big baby!" You say.

"All you did was the top circle. I had to dig more than you." He complains.

"Quit complaining. We did a great job, and I think It looks great." You told him as you looked at the sunset.

You both sat there in silence bore you started thinking. Why has Nico never told me anything about him? "Hey Nico?"

"Yes (y/n)." He replies as he looks at you.

"Could you tell me about you?" I asked.

"What do you want to know?"

"Why doesn't anyone at camp talk to you? I mean, I know some people talk to you but others just try to avoid you."

"Some of them just find it creepy that I can talk to the dead. It doesn't bother me anymore though. especially since most of them are children of Aphrodite." He says with a shrug.

"Oh,.... so is Hazel your only sibling?" You asked.

"Right now, yea. I used to have another sister but... um..." He kinda stuttered at the end.

"Hey, you don't need to tell me if you don't want to." I said.

"No, um, her name was Bianca. She died on a quest. I miss her, but I know someday I'll be with her." He said quietly.

"I'm sorry." You whispered.

"No, its fine. I was going to have to tell you eventually." He said with a shrug. "So what are we doing now? Playing 21 questions?" He said with a slight laugh.

"Sure, ask a question." You replied.

"What should I ask?" He said

"The deep stuff." You began to quote.

"Ok, what's your favorite color?" He asked.

"Now that's crossing the line..."

~if you don't know what that quote was... get out. Jk, it's from the hunger games.~

By now the two of you were laughing. While Nico's laugh was cute, yours sounded like a dying walrus with asthma.

You saw Nico stare at you so you tried your best to stop laughing.

"Sorry." You said as you covered your mouth.

"No, it's fine. It's a great laugh.. I mean I like yo- IT.. I like it! Not you. No wait, well I like you but... no, I mean yes.. But.... Oh look a fire!" He mumbled.

"Wait, did you just say you like me...?" You asked.

"Um, mayyybeeee." He said as he looked to you.

Then there was silence.

Complete silence.

You both stated at each other in awkward silence.

"I'm sorry." He said looking down at his feet quickly.

"No, Nico. No no no no no. It's fine, it's perfectly fine. I like you too." You said.

He looked up at you slowly.

"Do you actually mean that?" He asked.

"Of course I do! What made you think I don't?" You asked.

"I don't know, my head I guess." He replied.

"Nico, if your heart says yes but head says no, compromise, and think with your heart. Let your heart and mind think together rather than fight against each other."

Nico looked in your eyes and said "my heart and mind agree on one thing..." He said.

"What's that?" You asked.

"You." He replied then leaned in and kissed you.

It was perfect.

Until you heard in the distance..

"OH. HELL. NO!!!!" ... Percy.

I only expected to get like 20 or 30.

All of you have been very great and supportive of the story. I have been going through the other chapters and changing it up a bit. Nothing to drastic, but just a few small things.

I'm trying to get the pics that I saved, into the story. I haven't gotten it yet but I'm working on it. If I cant get it then I'll try something else.

Oh! A fun fact that I found out today. My dad's nickname when he was my age was Nico...😮. This kinda makes things awkward for me.
