Y/N's POV

It was one of those nights where I was extremely bored. And why? Well, my boyfriend's team, the New York Islanders had played earlier against the Rangers. At one in the afternoon! Well, guess I should mention that my boyfriend is John Tavares, the captain of the Islanders.

Usually, by now, he would at least call me, but I haven't heard anything from him. This is rather odd with him because he always calls around this time.

So, to waste some time, I decided to play one of my favorite mobile game, Y/F/G (your favorite game.) It was killing some time, but it did not take my mind off of John. I thought that he was with his teammates, but even then, he would call me.

All of the sudden, a new character pops up on my device and it looks exactly like...John. That's impossible. A real person can't be in a video game! Maybe it was because I can't get him off of my mind. That makes sense.

So, I logged out of the game and then went to my next favorite site: You Tube! I needed some mindless entertainment to get John off of my mind.

Yet, whenever any video came up on the 91 second point, I would see John either playing hockey or looking like a cat! Okay, I must be going crazy and thinking about him too much because he is showing up everywhere! Maybe his team might know where he is right now.

So, I called his teammate, Cal Clutterbuck. The phone rang three times before he picked up and said, "Y/N, have you seen Johnny Boy?"

"I was just about to ask you the same thing! Where is he at?" My nerves only went up after hearing Cal's answer.

"Well, Y/N, you might wanna sit down to hear this."

"What happened to him?"

Cal sighed and said, "Okay, this will probably sound crazy, but John has been showing up everywhere tech wise. Our phones, iPads, and even the television! We don't know how he ended up like that."

"So....I'm not crazy? I've been seeing him on You Tube and Y/F/G!"

"You just confirmed that we're not going crazy. How do we get him out?"

"Well, the question is: How did he get in there in the first place?"

"Hang on, I might have just figured this out. I'll send you a pic." Next thing I knew, my cell phone had buzzed. I picked up my phone and saw a rather interesting object: it looked like a portal to somewhere:

"Y/N, do you know how to get him out?"

"No! I didn't even realize that he was a scientist!"

"Can you maybe find the lab and figure out a way to get him out?"

"I don't even know where his lab is at!?"

"Y/N, do you ever go into the basement?"

I ran down the stairs as I said into the house phone, "Thanks Cal! You're right!"

And sure enough, as I went into the unknown, I was awestruck by his lab. I didn't realize that he had all of this! I heard Cal say, "Y/N, you alright?"

"Wow. His lab is amazing!" I looked around and found the plans for the portal. I yelled into the phone, "Found the plans!"

"Okay, good. How do we get him out?"

"Okay, there's a switch on the back side. Change it to 'Previous Location.'. Will that work?"

Cal turned the switch and said, "Okay. Here goes nothing."

I heard him click a button in the background and he screamed. All I could think about was what happened. Is he alright?

Cal then said, "Johnny! You're back!"

"I have to readjust this thing for portaling me home! Not into cyberspace!" John then replied back, "It's good to be me and not so technology like."

I yelled into the phone, "Johnny, where in the world were you? What have you been up to?"

John picked up Cal's phone and said into it, "Y/N, guess I have a lot of explaining to do?"

"You can explain now, John." I sat down in the basement and was bracing myself for the strange.

"Well, if you're sitting in the basement, chances are, you've figured out that I am a scientist. And I was working on a portal to get back to you quicker."

I smiled and said, "Wow. That's really sweet! But next time, can you work on that when you're home?"

He laughed and said, "Alright. I'll let you help me out."

I smiled and knew that my days of boredom would soon be over. And hopefully, not involve too much technology.
