Isabella's POV:

I was so nervous and excited for my date tonight! I was nervous because the guy that asked me was none other than Roman Josi. I only briefly talked to him after the game. I knew that no matter what happened tonight, it was going to be fun and a great way to get to know my favorite hockey player. I guess I might as well explain how I got here.

Flashback- Last Night: Isabella's POV:

"Wendy, are you ready yet?" I was more than ready to go witness the Predators play their rivals, the Blues. I already had on my lucky Josi jersey, and my lucky jeans and boots, and finally, a Predators necklace to complete my outfit.

Wendy comes to me and says, "I thought you knew that I was waiting in the car for you!" Wendy smiled and I followed her to the car.

About fifteen minutes later, my friend and I were standing inside the home of the Predators. I was so excited to see my favorite team, and to see a certain player. I asked my friend, "Where are we sitting for the game?"

Wendy said nothing, and just started walking to where I thought we were sitting. I begged and pleaded with Wendy, but she wouldn't give me an answer. Sure enough, when we arrived at our final destination, I saw that we were right next to the glass, right across from the Predators' bench. "How do you like these seat, Isabella?"

I was amazed at how close we were to the ice. It was almost as if I could just reach out and touch the now flawless ice. "This is amazing! How did you get these seats?"

Wendy, replied, "Uhhh...Internet? Ticketmaster? No, Thompson let me buy his tickets off of him." I laughed at her comment and we settled in and waited for our team to come out onto the ice. We were both rooting for the Preds.

When the Predators came out onto the ice, they all skated near us. Both of us were just so happy that they even skated near where we were sitting. As Wendy and I watched warm ups, I noticed that a certain player in blue and gold couldn't keep his eyes off of me. Wendy picked up on it very quickly, saying, "Hey, Isabella, your idol is looking at you, you do know that, right?"

I looked and sure enough, I saw hazel eyes looking back at me. All of the sudden, I wanted to scream and shout because my favorite player, Roman Josi, noticed me! I kept quiet and smiled at me.

And throughout the whole game, I kept seeing that Josi was looking at me. It was quite odd, but I didn't care. Even his teammates were noticing the strange behavior of Josi.

Either way, I guess it worked out because the Predators won with a final of 4-1. Roman got a goal and an assist. So, a good night for my favorite player overall!

Wendy and I were just about to leave when a security guard came up to the two of us and said, "Some players would like to meet the two of you."

We both nodded our heads in agreement and followed. Wendy said, "I'm dreaming, right? This can't be real."

I responded, "No, if reality wasn't real, then we would be seeing crazy things?"

"As in mind scape weird?"

We both laughed as I responded, "Yep." By that time, we had made it down to the area where all of the wives and girlfriends were waiting. I looked at Wendy and said, "Okay...why are we here?"

"Well, can't run anywhere else, so let's just hang here and see what happens."

Sure enough, one by one, the players started to meet their significant other, and seeing the reunions made me smile. Wendy and I were the only two left when Forsberg and Josi stepped out of the locker room.

While Forsberg went to go talk to Wendy, Roman came to me and said, "I couldn't help but noticed you behind the glass.  I'm Roman."

I smiled as I looked into his eyes and replied, "Hi.  I'm Isabella."

We quickly talked for a few and then exchanged numbers.  And, he also asked me out for dinner tomorrow.

My answer was yes.

Present Time:

As I put on my Nashville Predators necklace and looked at my simple outfit of jeans, black boots, a black buttoned down shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, I heard the doorbell ring.  I smiled as I opened the door and I finally was able to see Roman.

He smiled as he saw me and then said, "Wow, Isabella, you look so beautiful tonight."

I blushed as I said, "Thanks."  I then closed the door to my apartment and started to follow him towards the car. "So, where are we going?"

He smirked as he said, "You'll see."

As we drove to the destination, we talked about any and everything, from his life as a hockey player to the deep stuff, such as favorite color.  It felt like I have known him for years, rather than just a day.

All of the sudden, Roman says, "Isabella, we're here."  I looked out of the car window and saw a simple picnic set up right near a lake.  I would have thought we were going to a fancy restaurant, but this is so romantic! Roman then says, "Do you like it?"

I was speechless, but I managed to say, "Wow.  This is so sweet!"  

So, I followed him to the picnic site, and once we sat down on the picnic blanket, our conversation continued as if it had never stopped.  This date was never awkward in any way, and we has a lot of fun getting to know each other better.  

I never would have thought that I would be sitting right now talking to Roman Josi.  Never would I have thought that I would have so much in common with him in a million years!

As we headed back towards the car, Roman said, "Isabella, this is the most fun I've had in a while with anyone.  And because of that, I want to go other places with you.  So, will you be my girlfriend?"

I only had one response come into my mind, "Yes."
