Kazumi POV:

It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining. I woke up to see light everywhere. I have a very important mission today, to deliver Lady Tsunade safely to the Golden Temple (made it up lol) for a treaty signing. This is an S-Class mission, since the Golden Temple is very close to the all-famous Akatsuki Hideout. I expected to believe that the Akatsuki will attack. Since I was the best student in my class and had excellent grades and skills, I became part of the Anbu Black Ops a week after I got out of the Ninja Academy. I was ready. I packed my things and walked down to the training sight, where I met with Kakashi Sensei.

Kakashi POV:

Kazumi was always a good student. She has perfect grades and impeccable skills. She was the best ninja for the job. I completely trust her to go on this S-Rank mission with me. Although, I'm not sure if it's as easy as she is expecting. This is something she has never done before, but, there is a first for everything.

Kazumi POV:

Kakashi Sensei greeted me with a warm hug.
I never knew he could be so touchy with his students, but I guess it was fine since I knew him for a while. I still had to keep my guard up, since he reads those pervy Icha Icha Paradise books that Jiraiya makes. Yuck. Just thinking about it makes me stuck my tongue out. "Ready to go?" He asked nicely. I nodded and smiled.

Kazumi POV:

We've been walking for hours and nothing was happening. My feet were starting to hurt and everyone was letting their guard down. We were almost there. I heard something rumbling in the distance. I swiftly grasped my kunai knife and looked to where the sound came from. I heard yelling from the opposite side of me. It was a set-up. The Akatsuki were here. A red head jumped in front of me. I was informed his name was Sasori. He attacked me. I blocked him. Looking around, I realized Kakashi and Tsunade we're both struggling with the other members. While I was looking around, Sasori struck me, but in that moment, he looked at me with these eyes. They were sparkling. My own eyes widened a bit. He was actually very attractive. He froze. I took this as an advantage and used chidori on him (idk lol). He flew across the air and struck a nearby tree. I smirked, that was easy. As I walked over to him, I noticed there was no blood. I was confused. Then, something, or someone, grabbed me from behind. I gasped but a warm hand was put over my mouth. No one could hear me. "Shh... keep it down. I don't want to hurt you." A familiar voice said. Could it be Sasori? Was he still alive? How did he jump out behind me when he should be dead? I could hear Tsunade and Kakashi yelling in the distance. They even tried chasing after me. I tried to call for them, but Sasori was too fast. The rest of the members retreated and started towards the hideout. Sasori carried me, bridal style, toward the hideout. I blushed but also tried to get out at the same time. I noticed the "other Sasori" was limp, on the ground behind us, dragging, but following us. I was so confused.

Sasori POV:

This shinobi was the strongest and prettiest I've ever seen. She was just so amazing. I decided to bring her back to camp, but, she couldn't know where the hideout was, so I had to put a bad over her head. She struggled, still, so it was even more difficult. Eventually, we got to the base.  I removed the bag from her head once I got her in my room (A/N: heh. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).

Kazumi POV:

As the bag was removed from my head, I could see a very interesting room. The "other Sasori" was placed near the door. There was a bed, and a small table that could barely fit anything. That was about it. On the table, there was a candle and wood scraps and carvings. There were also little wooden bodies that seemed to be... puppets? They looked very similar to the "Sasori" that attacked me first. I wonder... was the first Sasori... a puppet? "Stay here." I heard Sasori say. "I need to go talk to Pein-Sama." There was nothing I could do so I did as he told and sat down.

Sasori POV:

I wanted to go to Pein-Sama to talk to him about Kazumi joining the Akatsuki. She was so gifted and talented. She would also make a good partner for me, instead of being partners with that annoying Deidara. "Pein-Sama... I found this excellent shinobi that I captured and kidnapped to be part of the Akatsuki. She is the top shinobi of her class, and has the most potential of all the shinobi in Konohagakure. She will fit in perfectly as part of the team. I beg of you, Pein". He stared at me for a few minutes, eyes shooting across the room at times. "Hmm... fine. Only if she does her best. If she is unwilling and will not be of benefit to us... you will have to remove of her, yourself." Pein said with an evil smirk. I gulped. "Hai, Pein-Sama." I started to walk away, but as I did, Pein stopped me. "Oh here." He says as he hands me an akatsuki Robe and sky blue nail polish. "I saved the last color for a new member, you'll need it". I nodded and started heading back towards my room, slightly nervous.

Kazumi POV:

Sasori walked back into the room with a cloak and some nail polish. I mentally cringed. I hope I didn't have to wear that stuff. "Well, I talked to Pein-Sama... Welcome to the Akatsuki...!" He said while smiling and rubbing the back of his neck. "I hope you don't plan on me wearing those ridiculous  things..." I exclaimed. "Calm down..." he stated. "Let me put the nail polish on you." I blushed and and turned my head slightly from left to right. "Nuh uh" I murmured. "Yah huh" He said back. "You don't have a choice, anyways. If you don't, you'll die." I sweat-dropped a little. "Fine..." I said, sticking my hand out. He took my hand rather gently and started opening the bottle. "Wow. I didn't know Akatsuki members did girly makeovers" I said with a scowl. "No. We don't. It's required." He replied harshly. I sighed. After he was done, I looked at them and smiled slightly. He did a pretty good job, even though I hate doing my nails. "So... what made you bring me here..." I asked. He blushed "well... your talented and the Akatsuki could use someone like you. Plus, if you joined, in the one who recruited you, so you would be my partner" he said with a sly smirk. I blushed a deep red. "That's nice" was all I could say back.

Future Reference POV (Kazumi):
Throughout the days, we started going on missions. Of course I had no choice, it was either do it or die. Plus, to be honest, I was beginning to like being in the Akatsuki. Especially with Sasori as my partner. He was always nice to me. I stayed in his room since their were no spare rooms. Of course, I had a separate bed. (A/N again: heheheh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). We went on more and more missions, and on each, we became even closer. Until one mission.

Sasori POV:

We had another mission today. It was just Kazumi and I this time. I was excited. She was becoming more fond of me, and I, of her. It turns out, that Tsunade survived and is returning from the Golden Temple today with Kakashi Hatake. We were to attack them and kill them once and for all. Hopefully Kazumi's loyalty to the Akatsuki holds up. We sneak behind the bushes. I spot Tsunade and Kakashi stealthy traveling through the tall grass. I was to surprise attack them, then Kazumi would jump out after me and finish the job. I nodded at her, and she nodded back at me. I jumped out and surprised them. Apparently, she jumped out at the same time, misunderstanding the instructions. I already had my puppet set up. I prepared a powerful jutsu, and It went off before I could stop it Tsunade and Kakashi we're knocked out, but so was Kazumi... Everything was covered in blood. What have I done..? Did I just kill her? Oh my gosh... I knelt down next to her. "I'm sorry..." was all I could say.

Kazumi POV:
As I jumped out to attack, a flash of pain shot through me. The last thing I saw was Sasori run over to me. Everything went dark.

Sasori POV:

"What have I done..." I said repeatedly. "No! It wasn't my fault... it was your fault." I turned around and pointed at my puppet. He messed me up. Why did it have to be her... out of all people..? Why... I picked up her body and carried her back to the hideout. There, I informed all the members that I had killed her by accident. Of course, no one had really cared, since they didn't know her as well as I did. Pein-Sama said "Good. We never needed her anyways." The rest just laughed at me. I weeped quietly, but no tears came out. I couldn't let them in front of my teammates. They were cruel, but than again, they could never understand us. Never. I buried her and went back to my empty room. I cried for hours. I fell asleep and cried some more. I cried until my face was burning and my skin was ripe. The members checked on me occasionally. They even tried bringing in new girls to join, but none of them we interested, and frankly, I wasn't, either. After a while, they stopped coming. I became unlovable. All I could ever think after that was that.. it was my puppets' fault.
