Introducing Y/N Virginia Stark

Of course, Tony Stark wanted to host a hulk sized bash to introduce his baby to the world, but nature had other plans. Happy got a huge bonus check for being able to keep the Stark baby a secret. Not even Peter Parker knew about the baby, until he accidentally found out earlier on the Stark's engagement party.

Tony Stark's parties are, of course, black tie, but being a teenager with more modern interests didn't exactly give Peter a lot of experience with ties. So, naturally, he went looking for Mr. Stark while distracted by the tie tangled in his hands.

"Mr. Stark, does the short one go this way, or does the lon ohmygodthatsatinyhumanbeing!" He blubbered.

"We catch that on video, Friday?" Tony asked, turning his attention back to his actual child.

Friday played back then video as Pepper came by.

"You really should learn to knock, Peter."

"Uh, yeah. Lesson learned Ms. Potts. So, what's with the baby now?"

So Peter was introduced to y/n and the two got to hang out backstage before y/n was needed for her presentation.

"Where were you?!" Aunt May hissed at him when he joined her.

"Just, um, hanging out." Peter quickly answered as Tony took center stage.

"Now, this is my engagement party of course. But what may come as a surprise to you all, is that I'm not the star of tonight's show."

The audience laughed, obviously the bride was supposed to be the guest of honor.

"Nope. Not even Pepper. Ladies and gentlemen, making her debut to the world [insert extravagant intro of red and gold balloons and confetti] Y/N Virginia Stark!"

On cue, a red and gold baby carrier zoomed by, and delivered the precious package to her waiting dad.

The crowd was stone silent, watching starstruck as Tony scooped out the baby and held her so she could see her guests. Tony finally noticed the confused audience and realized he needed to explain himself.

"She's my daughter with an ex."

There was a collective "ooh" of realization and finally the crowd burst into cheer and claps.

"Yea so, Bruce Banner is her godfather. Finding her godmother was the hard part. Pepper can't be, obviously, she's her mom, or stepmom. And I don't have a lot of close female friends. But, we eventually found her, and this woman has in the past been able to keep me in line, so I don't think my daughter should be that much trouble. So, y/n's godmother, even if she is notably on team cap, is Natasha Romanoff."

Nat stood awkwardly under the spotlight as the crowd around her applauded.

With the intros over, the party resumed and Tony went on tour with y/n introducing her to her extended family and friends. The only person with a gift for y/n was Stephen Strange: a golden pacifier he had conjured on the spot.

Eventually during his rounds, the father daughter inevitably came across Steve Rogers, invited by Pepper to her engagement party, as he was in the middle of a losing conversation with Thor.

"Stark, am I not the only god you are in acquaintance with?!"

"Of course, buddy."

"Then why am I not this godfather of this child of yours, who is very precious if I may."

Cap crossed one arm and rested his other in it, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Tony, please explain to our mutual Asgardian friend here what godfather means."

"Thor, man, being a god doesn't automatically qualify you to be godfather. See, I chose Bruce because him and I are the closest and he literally helped me save my daughter's life. I mean, I didn't even chose Earth's most righteous man to be Y/N's godfather, no offense. But then again, could I really, truly..."

"Hey man! I said my sorries already. Y'know I didn't mean to hurt you. But I'm sorry how things turned out."

"Are you? Really?"

"Yes. He is. Isn't he, (y/nickname)!" Pepper cut in, and took baby y/n from Tony.

"You're not tormenting my guests, are you?"

"We were just having a friendly conversation."

"Great. I'm glad you're getting along. Wanna hold her, Steve?"

"Um... sure." Steve managed to grab her and only got to bounce her once before Tony snatched her back.

"I have trust issues, Roge-"

Before Tony could finish, Thor had stolen y/n and had already blessed her with an Asgardian nickname. He also got a short time with her before Peter pulled y/n away to show her to aunt May but got lost midway into a portal and went smack into Dr. Strange.

This was probably the only time Tony Stark had a slight tingle of regret for hosting a monster bash.

Only the best for the Starks.
