Background: Suzuka is the daughter of Masayoshi Shido and the half sister of Goro Akechi. Suzu grew up neglected by her father so she always spend time on her own in the room she was given. She never met her mother she died when Suzu was a baby, her mother was apparently someone with a lot of money and she was well known by the higher ups in Japan which made Shido keep her around to look good.

Suzuka went to a private school until around the time a boy called Goro Akechi approached Suzu's father, she overheard them talking about a power and she got curious, when they went to look at the power Suzu followed and saw everything. After that day she wanted to get to know Akechi so she spent as much time as she could with him.

One day, when she was 14, she followed him into the Metaverse and she got attacked and summoned her persona. He saw and after he decided to tell her who he actually was, she was  shocked. She didn't believe him which he expected so after showed proof she asked if she could help him with what he was doing. He declined and said that it wasn't something that she should do since she had a life to live. A few days after that she overheard her father saying he didn't care about Suzu and he was going to sell her to one of his supporters for them to keep helping him when he became Prime Minister. She was heartbroken but not surprised and she didn't care about her life anymore since whatever she was going to not have freedom. She told Akechi what she heard and she again asked if she could help him, he saw that she really didn't care anymore and he finally gave in. Since that day she has kept him safe while he took out people. If only the phantom thieves had started sooner then this wouldn't of happened to a girl who might of had a life to live happily.

• Akechi shows his true self with Suzu but he is really kind to her. He cares for her a lot

• Suzuka was called Shido-Chan once by Ryuji and immediately she snapped at him, showing her true colours. After that day none of the phantom thieves called her by her surname. She deals with it at school but outside she hates being called that.

• At school Suzu is in the student council. She used to be in the journalist club but was taken by the council. The journalist club still lets her join in sometimes.

• She usually stays at Akechi's apartment because she wants to keep him company and she doesn't want to go home to a place where she isn't wanted and with Akechi she was wanted.

• Suzuka's social link has only 5 ranks since the protagonist will only have the chance to talk to her after they get to at least rank 4 of Goro Akechi's social link since that's the first time that the protagonist can find her. It's also very hard to level up, you must be on good terms with Akechi to do so.

• At the end of Royal (Yes Akechi lives) Suzuka changes her second name to Akechi wanting to completely get rid of her father from her life.

• Suzuka's code name, Sukuna, comes from the Japanese god of medicine, Sukunabhikona-no-Kami.

• Suzuka only shows her healing skills to the Phantom Thieves. Only Akechi knows about her scanning skills until after his 'death' in Shido's palace.

• Suzu joins the phantom thieves after 'accidentally' getting teleported into Okumura's palace. She lays on the floor pretending to be hurt and the phantom thieves find her, when they do she says that she was teleported here by an accident and got attacked by the shadows. Her persona manifested and she managed to keep healing herself as she hit the shadows with the shield that she had until they disappeared. The phantom thieves believed that, when they went back to the real world Suzu kept up the fake persona (personality) with them and gained their trust. She also had an alibi that she was with the phantom thieves when Okumura was killed so she couldn't be working with Akechi even though she was helping him without the others knowing.

• After Futaba put the device, she put on Akira/Ren's phone before the Hawai trip, on Akechi's phone they also found out that Suzu was more closer to Akechi than they thought since she called him Goro on the phone and not Akechi. They didn't find out about them being family since that would make the whole Akechi revenge on Shido not the huge surprise that it is. After they found that out they didn't fully trust her as well.

• Even if Suzu didn't end anyone's lives she was an accomplice to it so if Akechi got caught she would be arrested. Akechi never told the police she was involved.

• Suzu lied and said after the whole Akira/Ren getting arrested that she couldn't continue in the phantom thieves since it wasn't safe for her. They were confused and suspicious why but after figuring out that she was related to Shido they kinda understood why she left even if they knew she was working with Akechi.

• When Akechi was 'killed' by his own shadow in Shido's palace instead of getting depressed Suzuka felt so much rage against Shido that she helped the phantom thieves defeat the man.

• Suzuka was one of the people's who's memories didn't change when Maruki took over. She was curious about what was happening and found Akechi out of prison, he didn't tell the police she was helping him. He walked over to her and asked her if she remembered anything about the past year and she told him that she did. She also went to help them in the palace but she was the co-navigator with Akechi and the healer since she doesn't have any attacking moves.
