Get Over Her (Chapter 4)
"So, Vincent, what exactly do you remember about our past?" You ask him. Fritz was supposed to work tonight but he's home sick. You and Vincent sat in the empty room until you broke the awkward silence. But you don't think Vincent wanted it broken.
"Huh? Oh, a lot, I guess. I don't know, just, let's not talk about it now," he says after thinking a while. You nod in agreement and silence falls again.
You try not to fall asleep as Toy Chica walks into the room. She smiles and waves at you. You try to wave back, but you feel your body getting too heavy to move. Instead of raising your hand to wave, you grab Vincent's arm and fall asleep.
(Vincent's POV)
(Y/n) falls asleep while grabbing my arm. I let out a small yelp in surprise and she leans her head on my shoulder. I calm down and Toy Chica stares at us. She then giggles.
"You two seem to be getting along fine, huh?" I blush and vigorously shake my head, no. Toy Chica shrugs and chuckles more. "Tell that to the marionette, he's the one who'd be worried about it." I tilt my head.
"What do you mean?"
"Isn't it obvious? Oh never mind. Sometimes it just bothers me how ignorant people can really be. Especially the main characters," she adds under her breath.
"Toy Chica, stop breaking the fourth wall!" I yell at her. She chuckles and disappears out of sight. I sigh and turn back to (y/n), silently sleeping. Her breathing moves in a soft rhythm and her eyes occasionally flutter a bit. I smile to myself, well she is kinda cute, maybe. Then I hear a scream.
The marionette jumps on me, knocking all three of us onto the floor. (Y/n) screams in surprise and pain and I almost have a heart attack. The marionette grabs a hold of the front of my shirt and glares at me. I hold up my hands in defense, "sorry! But what did I do wrong this time?!" It's been a few weeks and I realized the marionette doesn't hate me all that much, I mean, it's not my fault he was bitten by Fredbear (that's my theory, Marion was the fnaf 4 kid).
He doesn't say anything but just glares at me more. (Y/n) realizes what's going on and she glares at the marionette. "What's your problem, asshole?!" The marionette takes his gaze off of me and stares at (y/n) instead. He then blushes and gets off of me. He clears his throat and glares at (y/n) in return.
"No sleeping on the job!" He puts his hands on his hips and (y/n) crosses hers.
"Dude, I work at 6 hour shift that starts at 12 Am, YOU CANNOT EXPECT ME TO STAY AWAKE FOR THAT!"
"Well Jeremy does, which proves he is a better night guard than you."
"Oh, talking about Jeremy again? You seem to really like him."
"Well, that's because I do- wait! Not like that! I mean-"
"Yeah, sure. Whatever you say. Anyway, go back to your dumb little present box, I'll wind it again for you as long as you leave me alone."
The marionette blushes again, then glares harder before walking away. (Y/n) sighs and turns back toward me, helping me up. "You okay?" She asks. I nod my head and look over her shoulder, something catches my eye. I see a pair of black eyes with white pupils looking around a corner. They glare at me and disappear. Ohhhh, I think I know what CC's talking about now.
(Marionette's POV)
It didn't work. I still don't hate her. I grab my hair, ready to pull it out. 'Why, why does she have to be like this? Okay, you can get through this, Marionette. First of all, why do you even like her?' I stop and think for a while. Why don't I like her?
'Um, okay. That's okay. Um, just think. What does she do that you hate?' I think again. Nothing really, I like the way she gets mad at me. I like the way she laughs. I like the way she looks. And she's overall a great person, sometimes even to me. 'MARIONETTE, THIS ISN'T HELPING!'
I sigh, maybe I'm right. There's no way to get over (y/n). I climb back into my music box and try to fall asleep, (y/n) is playing the music again. Maybe when I wake up, I'll forget about her. Please let me forget about her. Please, don't let me fall in love.
~
I stare at my strings that hang from the ceiling, and sigh. I can't sleep. I just keep thinking about...h-her...maybe I should tell her? No way! she'd hate me.
Besides, there's still a chance I can forget about her. Think, Marion, think! Aha, I've got it!
(Transition)
I look around the corner at the two guards. (Y/n) fell back asleep on Vincent's shoulder. He's talking to Toy Bonnie and Fred is staring at (y/n). Maybe this will be easier than I thought.
But do I really want to do this? Will it really make me fell better? Or even get over her? Don't be silly Mari, of course it will. I nod to myself, this will be a good plan. I just hope it works out all right.
"Hey, Vincent, it's me." Vincent seems startled at first when I say this, even a little scarred. But then he sees me and relaxes a bit. He waves and I walk closer.
"Hey, sorry I forgot to wind the box," he starts.
"Nah, it's fine. I couldn't really sleep with it on either. Anyway, enjoying your stay at chez pizzeria?" Vincent chuckles at my failed French. I laugh as well.
"Eh, it's okay. Could be better, if there wasn't a sleeping girl on my shoulder preventing me from moving it," he jokes. I laugh a little less at that joke. How come she never falls asleep on my sh- 'Marion stop, you're over her,' I assure myself.
"So, what do you think of (y/n)?" I ask him. He seems surprised at this response. He blushes a bit and I suppress a growl.
"Well, she's okay I guess. If you're implying that I like her, you're wrong."
"Aww, that's a shame. Because she likes you," Vincent stares at me and blushes harder. He tries not to smile. Ugh, I think I'm sick to my stomach.
"A-and how would you know that?" he stammers. Well, I didn't think I'd encounter this question. I think for a while.
"I have my ways," I smirk. Vincent looks at the floor and back at (y/n). Then he wakes her up, I gulp. This wasn't a part of the plan.
"Uh, (y-y/n)? D-do you...like me?" her eyes widen and she jumps off of Vincent's shoulder. I start to slowly back away.
"No way! W-what made you think that?! Oh, I don't mean to be mean but, that is so not true." she stands up and tells Vincent. Vincent sighs in relief.
"Well, marionette told me so-" that's when he cuts off and they both look at me. I slowly laugh and hold up my hands in defense.
"Don't taze me, bro."
(Your POV)
After you finish tying Marionette's arms to his legs, you smirk and walk back toward the office. He struggles behind you and you sit down on your chair. This time Vincent is asleep.
Seriously, what's that idiots problem?
After about 1 hour, the 6 o-clock bell rings and you walk out of the door. Not looking back.
(Sorry the chapter was short, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I will be updating in a few hours so be prepared. Anyway, hope you enjoyed. And I'll see ya next time lov-elies! Bya! ((I tried out a new catchphrase, it's horrible, isn't it.)))
