Chapter 12

mostly 3rd pov))

Lol mostly around Raptor))

The small brown jet hummed to herself as she flew just below the cloud line. She had left for a fly a few hours ago. She wanted to clear her thoughts and figured the skies would help her loose her troubled processor.

The air was warm and felt nice as it slid over her frame. The small jet slid though the skies like a knife, the calmness is what every seeker lived for. The peace they so easily found against the painted back drop of the skies, its an inborn love that was hard to replace.

Many were still trying to find joy against new skies, in vibrantly painted horizons, but it was hard when so many longed to see the beautiful streaked sky of their home again. A place with grounder built towers that stretched upwards to the sky unfurling like servos reaching for just to get a taste of what it was like in the sky.

Thinking of this Raptor found herself longing for that time, a time when all was peaceful and it wasn't so difficult to just be in the moment and not worry so much about the 'what if'. Just like many others she found herself pinning for a sky she would never see again, to fly with bots who's wings would never slice though the skies again.

To walk with pedes that didn't slide against the ground with an ugly scraping sound. To have her pedes again. To have her life again, her life that didn't involve worrying if her people would be attacked again, that didn't involve praying that these grounders wouldn't come back and finish the job and leave her race nonexistent.

Well.. not completely nonexistent.. There would still be Starscream on the side of the grounders. Raptor never put him up for a blood traitor, never expected him to betray his own court mate, his own trine. But he did. He let himself be branded by the mark of blood - thirsty grounders.

Raptor had debated with herself about telling her royalty about her still living mate, she was still debating if she was honest with herself. She didn't wish anymore pain and anguish upon her ruler, but she didn't want to lie to her either. The brown jet decided it was best to let her leader believe that her mate had perished and let her believe that he was an honorable mech.

Raptor sighed softly to herself then hummed curiously seeing a figure standing up on the cliff side. She slowly drew closer to investigate her curiosity getting the better of her. It became clear that it was a grounder standing up there, she didn't know why he was just standing there like an idiot.

It became clear that he might be something of more interest as she began to see more and more of what was around him. He seemed to just be enjoying the view standing before his ship. Raptor was unsure if she should intervene and engage or just leave him.

Her decision was soon made for her as the mechs gaze snapped to the brown jet in the sky. He immediately started to fire at her  believing her to be a threat.

... he wasn't completely wrong.
