End of the F***ing World Reference!!!
The screenshot below is of the reference just in case you tried looking for it yourself and couldn't find it. The reference is a quote from this Netflix series as James found the atmosphere awkward so he decided to explain what a lazy Susan was to break the air.

A sweaty hand holding your own and the sweet scent of flowers wafting through the air. You couldn’t be more thankful that one of your uncle’s students were taking time out of your day to treat you to an afternoon out on the town. Actually, you didn’t quite understand why, but Katsuki Bakugou has been your personal escort for about a month now. Sort of… He almost always needs permission to leave school property if it isn’t school or internship related and half of the time his request to leave is declined. The second problem is that you don’t live on school property and can only visit whenever your Uncle All Might has the time to take you in. The third and final problem is that you never know Bakugou’s schedule. One day he could be up to his knees in homework and other times he’d have absolutely nothing to do. As of lately, you coincidentally visit the UA campus on days he’s at his busiest. You love being around Bakugou don’t get yourself wrong. It’s just… Being blind complicates things greatly. You hate using your cane, therefore you can’t be trusted to find yourself around in public. That means, you have no choice but to rely on others to get around and that’s a topic you haven’t brought up to Bakugou yet…

To bring up said topic should be rather easy as you can tell by Bakugou’s body language. The signs point to Bakugou’s emotions being more uplifted than usual in the way his hold upon your hand was more gentle with care. You never do get out much and every second counts. You wonder where Bakugou has taken you today, your ears are suggesting that the surroundings must be that of a public park. Children were screaming in joy, the creaking of chains to a swing, the enthralled barks and howls of playful canines and the almost comical quacking of ducks in a nearby pond judging by the way water would splash and trickle. Your ears could pick up on anything you could say, and by golly you’re touched that your dear friend treated you to a day in the park.

“I sure feels like a nice day…” You spoke up as to drive Bakugou into a conversation you knew he’d never start. “Is it nice today Bakugou?” You held his hand tighter for a slim second. “Is the sun shining? Are there any clouds? I can tell that it’s bright out but that’s about it,” yeah… The sun was beginning to bother you. You’re not completely blind as to all you saw was black. You could still tell the difference in the brightness of your surroundings. Normally light isn’t a problem; the sun must be blaring today. Wish you had known that today was an outdoor day as you’d have brought your sunglasses.

“You call it nice?” Bakugou tuts with an almost sarcastic ring to his voice. “It’s hot as balls out here…”

“Can we sit then?” You flashed a shy smile. “Preferably in the shade.”

Bakugou justly nods but of course you hadn’t seen a thing. He lead you to the base of a tree where the shading was the most abundant compared to park benches stradling that 50-50 line of shade and light. Bakugou lay a hand upon your back, “If you want to sit then you’ll have to deal with the ground.”

“Perfect actually,” You carefully lowered your own self upon the ground. Your hands felt around almost frantically to make sure you weren’t readily sitting upon rocks or sharp twigs before you had done so. Bakugou sat down afterwards. He was actually a little stunned that you didn’t need any help. He was shuffling himself into a comfortable position to your left, so you turned your head towards him in an attempt to speak face to face the best you could. “Hey so… I need to talk to you about a few things Bakugou,” You began and Bakugou gave you an affirmative hum signifying he had heard you. “My parents… You know how they rarely let me visit you at UA?”

“Yeah, what about it?” Bakugou grumbled.

“They don’t let me visit often because I need an escort to get there which is usually my Uncle All Might. Whenever I’m going anywhere else but there, I have a personal escort-”

“I told you I’D be your damned escort!” Bakugou took great offense which was a surprise to you. He rarely raises his voice at you.

“Have you ever heard of a Lazy Susan?” You usually make conversations tense with the topic of your blindness so you’ve learned that tension could be diffused with facts. “They’re made so that you can pass food more easily-”

^A.N. I've already deleted like ten or twenty comments. This paragraph IS NOT a reference to Gravity Falls. Yes I do watch that show, in fact I watched the D D & D episode yesterday. BUT I did quote another show in this paragraph.

“(Y/n) don’t change the subject,” Bakugou growled.

“My parents really don’t like me having escorts!” You blurted out on a whim but mostly due to intimidation.

“So what?” The boy scoffed. “They’re just gonna keep you locked up in your house all day like a damned prisoner?”

“No…” That’s definitely nothing like you let alone your own parents thought.

“Then what?”

“My parents struggle finding me a permanent escort who is trustworthy and uncostly,” based on how you began your reply, Bakugou began to assume that your parents want him to become your permanent escort. That was until you sighed. His assumption was wrong on a million levels. “Almost all of my escorts from then until now are greedy jerks who are in it for the money. They’re really expensive and treat me poorly and those who volunteer occasionally like Izuku and yourself are fun and nice but aren’t reliable with your schedules in school. They want me to stop bothering Uncle Might and you too. So… They said I need to look into getting a potential seeing-eye dog.” A moment of silence. You’re beginning to wonder if Bakugou had long left.

Instead, Bakugou was processing everything you just said. “So,” Bakugou could feel the vein atop his eye begin to form and pulsate. “You’re telling me they want you to cut ties with me just for you to be alone with a literal bitch? Correct me if I’m wrong.”

“I mean you’re not,” you admit.

“I take you out because I want to. There’s no personal f-ing gain,” Bakugou began to bite his tongue. He doesn’t want to potentially leak anything that’ll scare you away from him.

“I’m kind of looking on the brighter side of things though,” you shuffled forwards. “If I get this dog, I can visit you more often!”

Bakugou’s heart almost quite literally melted at the sight of your wholesome smile. Alas, he’s getting his hopes up. “Didn’t you just say your parents don’t want you around me? Now you’re getting a dog to spend more time with me?”

“Correction,” you held up your index finger. “I’m getting a dog so that I can be more independent. They don’t want me bothering you to be my escort. If you’re my friend not an escort because that’s what the dog will be doing, I can spend as much time as I want with you.”

“Why are we having this conversation then?” Bakugou shook his head. “Where do we get you a dog?”

“Anywhere?” You shrugged. You legit have no idea where or how to get a dog besides a pound or shelter. Even then, they normally don’t carry puppies and dogs they already have are more than likely damaged mentally beyond repair and unable to carry its duties as your eyes. “They want me to get a puppy so that it can be trained to be my eyes and stick with me for as long as possible age wise. It also has to be a German Shepherd, a Golden Retriever or a Lab because they are the breeds that specialize in what I need.”

“Well,” Bakugou stood up with a shallow grunt. He in turn, took you by the hand and helped you to your feet. “We can check the shelter or those stupid farm stores.”

“W-Why?”

“Anywhere with a public post-it board!” Bakugou rephrased. “People post ads about lost pets and animals for sale on those all the damn time.” More than pets though. You can find just about anything on those public post it boards if it pertains to just about anyone out there trying to get a quick buck. Garage sales, services, animals, public events. You’re bound to find a puppy somewhere.

“You’re…” You lost your train of thought for a second because your astonishment was mind blowing. “You, helping me get a dog? You’re really sweet sometimes Bakugou. I don’t understand why your classmates tell me to keep my distance from you.”

“Because they’re jackasses,” Bakugou lied his arm across your shoulders. That action of his has been quite frequent as of late.

The two of you spun the city upside down in search of puppies. Easy to say it straight: No luck. The pound had puppies, but the puppies were either mutts: dogs of indistinguishable breeds or breeds of dogs who were too little to become seeing eye dogs. Have you ever seen a seeing eye Pug? Of course you haven’t. The pound didn’t even have one singular dog of the breed you’re looking for. Individual breeders on the other hand had puppies, of course, but again, none of the breeds you’re searching for.

Pretty soon it was late, you’re beginning to assume that your parents ought to be worried sick since you’re normally home before sundown. You have an internal clock and figured out that sunset is around seven pm at this time of year and of course you’re treading that thin line called curfew. Bakugou thought it’d be a waste of time to take you back to UA campus To do that was practically backtracking! So, Bakugou agreed to walk you home. He had the unfortunate gift of taking you home to find that your mother was standing on the front porch with this oh so disapproving look practically carved upon her face and her arms crossed. Of course you hadn’t been able to see her face, but Bakugou couldn’t piece her deal together. Was she mad that you were with him instead of All Might? Was she angry that you were late? Or is she perhaps furious with the idea that you were with Bakugou in general? Neither of you will ever know as she stomped back into her home without a word.

Now the stomping you heard. “Sounds like I’m home,” you recognized the pattern and heaviness of your mother’s footsteps. Her feet were especially heavy whenever she wore heels and the click of them upon a weathered wood meant you were standing upon your front porch.

“Your mom…” Bakugou grew concern for you. “She doesn’t look like Miss Sunshine.”

You snickered. You truly love how Bakugou describes people sometimes. “She’s been annoyed lately. Especially with me and the whole dog thing. Don’t worry about it.”

“I’ll take your word on that,” cause you’d have to be truly heartless to hurt a blind person in general when they did nothing wrong, let alone if it’s anything they’re not even aware of.

“I’m sorry I wasted today looking for a dog that… That probably doesn’t even exist,” you sighed. Of all the dogs you heard and touched today, none of them can be your forever friend.

“You didn’t waste my day,” Bakugou carefully pulled you into an embrace. Your mind didn’t register that it was a hug for easily ten seconds or more before your arms slowly crept around Bakugou’s built frame. Your face was gently pressed into his shoulder where all you could smell was his caramel scent.

“I want this dog…” you spoke into his shoulder. “I want us to spend more time together like right now.”

“I hate people so much…” Bakugou admits. “I like helping you despite that.”

“Because you’re my hero,” you hummed.

Bakugou smirked, “because I’m your hero.”

“Is this a rom com?” Your mother poked her nose into what was a perfect moment. “This is real life (Y/n) and romance, especially at your age, is just a waste of time.”

“Let (Y/n) do what she wants!” Bakugou barked at the woman. “Bad enough she has to have her hand held all the damn time because she can’t do much on her own you Old Hag!”

Your mother’s expression was deadpan. She wasn’t offended nor showed any signs of emotion period. “You know…” Your mother crossed her arms again. “I can’t disagree with you. I’ll admit, ever since you popped into her life she’s been happier but I don’t want her to love somebody just for them to walk out later on because she can’t do what you can.”

“Well you can shove that up your ass,” you gasped at Bakugou’s choice of words. “I hate people. I really do. But I like her, and I don’t plan to leave.”

“Your life will be a living hell if you break her heart Katsuki.”

“My life is hell!” Bakugou cackled into the atmosphere parting ways with his beloved blind angel for the next week until your scheduled time to visit UA came to light.

“Young Bakugou has a surprise for you little girl,” All Might had his arm linked with your own as he led you to the place he called work where his students awaited his arrival.

“Everything about him is a surprise,” you grinned.

“Well this surprise of his is a little gift from everybody. The whole class chipped in to help him out just for you,” All Might couldn’t be more proud of his students as that blaring hue of pink came to occupy his cheeks.

Now your heart was thumping, “I feel loved.”

All Might quickened his pace to ensure you’d get to UA faster as he was becoming overwhelmed with the anticipation of a melted heart. Past the gates of UA, the dorms and lastly the paved walkway that led to the class 1. A. Dormitory. The second that entrance door opened, the class of arguing with one another but soon went silent to your appearance. “Oh…” You awed. “It’s um… Quiet in here.”

Midoriya scampered over to where his mentor stood. “All Might bring her to the couch,” he asked of him. All Might nodded and led you over to the couch where your boyfriend sat. All Might told you to sit, and so you did.

Immediately, Bakugou hushed you with a simple gust of wind. “Keep quiet and hold up your arms,” okay, that instruction didn’t sound all too great. “I’m gonna put something on your lap.”

“O-Okay,” you whispered. An audible shuffle came as did an unusually warm mass to be lied upon your lap. Your lip began to quiver as you feared someone was sitting upon you.

“You can put your damn arms down…” Bakugou growled.

“Okay…” Your arms lowered and your fingertips brushed against something soft yet wiry and warm of course. Gaining the confidence to explore the object or person more thoroughly, your fingers delved into the plush feeling of furr and the smoothness of skin beneath it. You gasped once your left hand brushed up against something freezing cold and wet. “What is this thing!?” You screamed without separating your jaw.

“A dog,” Bakugou grinned. “Your dog.”

“A dog?” Your eyes began to water. Your hands carefully stroked the being that sat upon your lap from the assumed head to tail. This dog had long fur, a long almost bushy tail, a long snout and ears that stood tall and proud too. This indeed was a dog, and you can’t believe it could fit into your lap and it’s being so calm just sitting there. “B-Bakugou… I can’t believe you actually got me a dog,” your tears began to overwhelm you. The puppy within your lap began to whine and licked your cheek for comfort. It all only made you want to cry even more.

“You got your dog, and I get to spend more time with the girl I can actually stand.”
