Kina's POV

After my shift around the grounds, I went back inside to take a nice, hot shower.

Jerk of the year and his even dumber girlfriend were coming down the stairs as I went up. "Remember to make those phone calls, Mr. Sterling. And, I need a list of your appearances when I am done with my shower."

He rolled his eyes at me. Whatever. I have a job to do. And, if he doesn't have what I requested to do my job, he will get an earful.

I finally made it to my room. After grabbing what I needed, I went into the bathroom for my shower.

After my shower, I put on my outfit for the day, which is a pair of khaki cargo pants and a white tank top.

I took a deep breath because I have no idea how day two will go with Mr. Sterling. Then, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning, Mr. Sterling. Where is my list? And, have you made those phone calls?"

After finally spotting a coffee maker in the kitchen, I went to make me a cup. At least he has a Keurig machine and plenty of k-cups to choose from. And, at least he has decent taste in coffee. Starbucks is the best.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm making a cup of coffee. And, where did your previous bodyguards eat their meals?"

"Not in my kitchen."

"Well, now we do. You wanted 24/7 coverage, so we will be eating our meals in this kitchen. And, I dare you to try to stop me. I need you to answer my questions."

"No, I haven't made the phone call, yet."

"Ugh, Mr. Sterling, do you think I am joking? Being a bodyguard is what I love to do. I want to protect others like I protect my family. But, so far you are being a....."

All of a sudden, the girlfriend jumped in my face. "Who do you think you are talking to?!" Then she started poking me.

I am 2 seconds from whooping this chick's behind.

"I'm talking to Jayce Sterling, not you. And, second of all do not EVER poke me again. You will regret it. Now, Mr. Sterling, I want that darn list by noon. And, the phone calls too. I need something to eat because obviously, it's not in this kitchen. David will be here. I will be back asap."

David is the best friend a girl could have. He is my bodyguard brother. I saw him actually coming my way.

"Hey David, do you want something for breakfast? Mr. Sterling has nothing, at least for us. But that will change. I'm going to get something for myself."

"That sounds great. A coffee and whatever you get for yourself. Thanks, Kina."

"You're welcome." I went back upstairs to grab my phone, truck keys, license, and some money.

Then, I left the house.

I found a cute little cafe and bought coffee and breakfast for myself and the guys. I have to look out for my crew. Their safety is my responsibility.

"Thank you, Kina. Breakfast was delicious. Uh, Kina today is my last day on the crew. I got a call from Pops last night that I am being reassigned. My replacement is coming this afternoon."

"David, you can't leave me. I love working with you. You were there for me at training when no one else was."

"I don't want to leave either. I enjoy working with you too. But you and I know that what Pops says goes. But I will tell you this. You will definitely love my replacement."

"I highly doubt that. I really am going to miss you. I wish we could take you out for dinner. Please keep in touch."

"You know I will. Let's search the grounds again."

We paired ourselves together and went to search the grounds.

It is now noon, and time to find Mr. Sterling. He better have that list.

He was in the living room, watching television.

"Here is your list. And, I have made appointments for tomorrow for the fence and a designer for your security room."

He didn't even turn around. He had the list in his hand, and I grabbed it.

"Thank you. I want the security room on the first floor. So, please pick a room for me to use. And, do you mind if I order food this evening? My friend, David is being reassigned and his last day is today. But a replacement is also coming today."

He was dismissive, but said, "That's fine."

"Thank you."

I bought myself a laptop yesterday, so I am going to input his schedule on my calendar, then sync it to my phone. That is going to take me a while.

As I was inputting the schedule on my laptop, David approached me.

"Kina, my replacement is here."

"Okay. I'm coming." I was sitting in the dining room, so I followed him.

"Close your eyes and give me your hand."

I looked at him like he was crazy but did what he said.

After a few minutes, David said, "Open your eyes."

I saw my McLaren and my sexy boy toy from Italy. Dario was leaning against my car.

Dario Ginnetti

I sure did run over to him, jumped in his arms, and wrapped my legs around his waist.

He kissed me like we hadn't seen each other for the longest time. He had his hands all over my booty to hold me up.

"I missed you so much. You just made my day. I'm glad you are here."

"I missed you too, Kina baby. We will get to see each other every day now."

"You're moving to Miami?! I love it!"

"Well, that too. But I am David's replacement. Surprise!"

"I told you Kina that you will love your surprise," David then says.

"Seriously?! But what about your position in Italy?"

"That is where David is going. I missed being out in the field. This was my chance to come back. And, I get to do it with my favorite girl."

"I am? What would your mother say if she heard you calling me that? Besides, we aren't official, Mr. Ginnetti."

"Ms. Kina Padmore, will you be my favorite girl?"

"Yes, I will." I couldn't help but reclaim his mouth. I think David just walked away because we heard footsteps going in the opposite direction.

Dario is older than I am - by 12 years. But who cares - he is sexy as heck. And, now mine.

"David was right, I love my surprise. We can't let our personal relationship interfere with our bodyguard duties. I take my job very seriously. Now that you are here, the lead bodyguard position is yours."

"Kina, I am not here to take over. That is yours to keep. You earned it, baby. I am your assistant."

"Okay. Thank you. David was my right-hand man. So, I want you to do the same thing."

"You got it, madam."

"Now, I need to introduce you to Jayce Sterling, AKA Mr. Pain In My Butt."

"After you." Dario waited until I passed by to moan and groan. "Loving the view from behind." Then he started talking in Italian. Extremely sexy and making me want to lose my womanhood.

Jayce's POV

I heard every word she just said. And, I certainly am not a major pain in the behind.

I quickly made it back to the living room before they entered.

"Mr. Sterling, I want to introduce you to Mr. Dario Ginnetti. He will now assist me with bodyguard duties instead of David."

"Thank you for coming. You are now the lead, right? Please say yes."

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Sterling. Like Kina said I am here to assist her. No, I am not the lead. She is more than qualified to be a leader. No, offense but you need to quit the chauvinistic ways and let Kina do the job you are paying her to do. And, I am not saying that because she is my girlfriend. I meant every word I said. I have no problem listening to her. So, why do you?"

Did I just get put in place at my own house? Ugh, why me?

"Fine! If I hear or see you two engaged in sexual activities, you are fired! Am I clear?!"

"Loud and clear." They walked away, hand in hand. I need a drink.

Kina's POV

"As you can see, I have my hands full with him. He had no security room or anything for his bodyguards. Well, that is changing with me."

"Sweetheart, you can handle him. Pops told me you dealt with far worse at your training."

"I did and put them in their place too. I'm glad I have you by my side. His girlfriend is pathetic and a instigator. You'll see her sometimes. Thankfully she is not here now. We can take a tour of the grounds and the house. A few rooms he said were off-limits, so I'll show you those too."

Narrator's POV

During the tour, Kina showed Dario the room that would be best for the security room. Dario also agreed.

After the tour, Dario followed Kina to the dining room, where she was working on putting Jayce's schedule on her laptop. Dario helped her. Then, Kina sent a mass text to each of the guys.

Kina then asked the butler where are the best places to order food. He gave her a few places and she thanked him. Once the food was ordered, Kina and Dario went to search the grounds.

Kina's POV

After we ate dinner, we all sat together on the patio in the backyard. Dario sat me in his lap, and we cuddled. The guys didn't mind. We were all talking and laughing anyway. We'll save the sexy stuff for when we are alone.

"This is both a sad day and a happy day. It's sad because I am losing my buddy and best bodyguard friend. David, thank you so much for your support. It meant everything to me and gave me the push I needed to complete my training. Several times I had thoughts of quitting."

"You're welcome, Kina. Listen, guys are dumb. Well, not all the time. You showed them a thing or two. You may not believe this, but I learned so much from you, and will use it to train new recruits in Italy."

I stood up to give David a hug. A few tears slipped out.

"Thank you, David." Mr. Sterling did let us have just a glass of wine, and we stuck to that.

"I wish you much success in Italy." We clinked our wine glasses, then I sat back in Dario's lap.

"Now, today is a happy day because Dario is joining our team. And, today I officially became taken. We are dating. I promise not to let my personal relationship interfere with our bodyguard duties. Mr. Sterling is paying us excellent money to be his security. So, welcome Dario."

He kissed my cheek, then we all clinked our wine glasses.

"Thank you for the welcome. And, I am glad to be aboard Team Kina. She is one, very special lady."

"Aren't you sweet?" I gave my boo some more sugar.

"Our first assignment on the schedule is Friday at a new club opening here in Miami. He wants three of us with him. And, three to stay and patrol the house. Dario, Kevin, and I are going to the club. Mike, Josh, and Rick will stay at the house."

"Dario, do you mind if I do one last perimeter search with Kina?" David asked.

"That's fine with me. It's been a long day, so I am ready for some rest."

"Dario, you can stay in my room until tomorrow evening. I'll show you where it is. David, I'll be right back."

Dario and I went upstairs to my room. Of course, we were stopped by Mr. Jerk.

"And, just where is he going?"

"Dario is sleeping in my room until tomorrow evening."

"No, he definitely is not."

"Yes, he is. Where is he supposed to sleep? You said no sex, and we will not be doing any of that. Besides, I have my perimeter search shortly. He has had a long day of travel from Italy."

"Fine!!" He stormed away and slammed his bedroom door.

"My shift will be for 3 hours. Then, I'll be back to cuddle."

"I need to get my bag from the McLaren. The rest of my things is coming tomorrow."

Dario and I went back outside. He went to get his things. And, I started my shift with David.

Narrator's POV

After finishing her shift, Kina made her way back to her room.

Dario wasn't fully asleep, so when Kina laid on the bed, he pulled her into his chest so they can cuddle.

Kina's POV

Today is the day that I have been waiting for. But first, I have two appointments for the fence and security room.

Dario was in the bathroom, so I stayed under the covers until he was finished.

Wow!! When Dario stepped out of the bathroom, he was totally naked He is one packing Italian! My body is going to be really sore from the size of that!

Thankfully, he didn't notice me staring. How can anyone not stare? Dario then got dressed for the day.

I pretended to yawn and sat up. "Good morning, Dario."

He came over and sat down on the bed. Then, kissed me like crazy. "Good morning, Amore." (Italian term for 'love')

When I stood up, he started licking his lips and talking Italian. That is a total turn-on. He pulled me back on the bed.

"You look really tempting in those shorts and a tank top. Too bad we can't do any physical activities."

"Not as tempting as you were a few minutes ago." I didn't tell him that though.

"Boy, remember we promised. Besides, I want our first time to be special."

This time, I got up and hustled to the bathroom. Dario whistled the whole time, making my insides go crazy. I'm ready, but at the same time, I am not ready.

Dario is making me horny. I hope he is gone by the time I finish in the bathroom because I left my underwear in the dresser.

After wrapping my towel around me, I exited the bathroom.

"Dario?"

Good. No answer. I let my towel drop to the floor, then started to get dressed for the day.

"I thought I sa...."

The door suddenly swung wide open.

"Do you mind?!! Get out!!!!!"

Mr. Jerk just saw me naked!! And, he didn't even knock!!!!

After getting dressed, I marched right out of my room to give Jayce Sterling a piece of my mind.

Through gritted teeth, "Good morning, has anyone seen Mr. Sterling?!"

Dario saw that I was irritated, so he asked, "What's wrong, Amore?"

"You want to know what's wrong?! Ask Mr. Sterling why he burst into my room because he thought we were having sex and saw me naked!!!"

"He what?!!?"

Oh great, here comes the stupid girlfriend.

"Keep your dirty hands off my boyfriend!!"

"Kina baby, don't do something you will regret," Dario then says.

"Dario, can you come here please?" He did.

"Whatever your name is, you see this hot and sexy Italian stud standing next to me? This is MY man. Tell your lame, American boyfriend to stay out of my room! I don't want him, and never have."

"Mira, leave her alone. It was a mistake. I thought I heard stuff."

I wanted to punch him in the mouth. He didn't hear anything, and he knows it. I brushed past him and walked away.

Jayce's POV

"Look, Mr. Sterling, I need you to leave my girlfriend alone. Kina has enough on her mind trying to protect you. And for your information, we didn't do anything. I'm a gentleman, unlike you. All it takes is one phone call and Kina, along with the 5 of us will be done. Capiche?"

He brushed passed me and followed her.

"Jayce, did you hear what she called you? Who does she think she is?!"

"Mira, please be quiet. You're giving me a headache." I need a drink.

It may have been a mistake, but dang my thoughts about her being naked was right. She is curvy and plentiful in all the right places.

Narrator's POV

Kina, Dario, and Jayce all attended both appointments. Jayce approved and paid for the fence and security room. The work will begin on Monday.

After the appointment, Kina said goodbye to David and watched him drive away.

Dario, Kina, and Kevin are now preparing for the trip to the club.

Kina's POV

I am not wearing the traditional black suit tonight for this club opening. That tradition is about to be broken.

I do have on some comfy shoes though. I was so deep in thought that I jumped a little when Dario started massaging my shoulders.

"You're tense, baby. Relax for me, Amore."

"Thanks. I'm nervous and have butterflies in my stomach."

"Don't be, Amore. As much as this night is for Jayce Sterling, it is also for Kina Padmore. It is time for the world to know who you are. I'll be there with you. I got you, baby."

"Thanks, boo for the pep talk." I put my hair in a ponytail. Then grabbed my sunglasses, license, and cell phone. I have walkie talkies for us too. I gave Dario his. We then made our way downstairs.

Kevin was waiting for us in the foyer. "Looking good, Kina."

"Thanks, Kevin." I gave Kevin a walkie talkie too.

Mr. Sterling and his girlfriend finally appeared.

"Here are the keys to my Escalade. And, here is a list of names that are allowed in my VIP booth. The butler will show you to my underground garage. We will be waiting out front."

"Okay." I followed the butler.

"Ms. Kina, thank you for staying. I know Jayce can be a handful, but you can handle him. My name is Nathan."

"Thank you, Nathan."

"I'll open the door for you."

While I went to the Escalade, Nathan opened the door.

His garage is loaded with SUVs and cars I will never see in my lifetime. Well, now I have the McLaren and my Escalade.

I drove the Escalade to the front door of the house. Dario and Kevin were waiting, along with Mr. Sterling and whatever her name is. I got out to open the door for them. There was a seat in the back, so Kevin sat behind them. Dario helped me in the driver's seat. He snuck a kiss before closing the door.

"Good luck, baby." Then, Dario made his way to the passenger seat. I started the Escalade, and we were on our way.

Narrator's POV

"Keagan Roberts from Miami Chic Today Entertainment coming to you live from the grand opening of Club Shadow. The stars are now beginning to arrive for this red carpet event."

"Pulling up now, we see a black Escalade. And, wait minute?! Is that what I think it is? A female bodyguard? Let me rephrase that - A hot, female bodyguard just stepped out of the Escalade to open the passenger door. Ladies and gentlemen, Jayce Sterling has a female bodyguard! I can't wait to see the reaction that this receives."

Kea's POV

I just happened to be flipping channels and stopped at Chic Today's Entertainment channel.

"Kina is on TV!!! Everybody come in here!!!"

My family ran like a herd of bulls, even my mom and dad.

"Kina is Jayce Sterling's bodyguard!!!"
