It wasn't the first time that Asmodeus caught his son drinking and smoking at one of his stupid parties. Magnus was indeed a clever boy. But don't you think it was a good thing. He had a mind like a hacker, but a personality like the Cheshire Cat.
He knew how to mess with his father's working schedule, hack into the security system to throw a party right under Amodeus's nose and the man still wouldn't have the faintest idea. But the CEO wasn't gonna let this go that easily anymore.
"THE PARTY'S OVER!" Asmodeus's booming voice drown the loud music, making everyone freeze on the spot. He waited until the last teenager waddled out of the door and slammed it shut. Magnus didn't even flinch. Probably because of the alcohol or the fact his father had done that for countless of times.
"Magnus..." Asmodeus sighed, rubbing his face "Why can't you act more mature, son? How many times has this happened? It's only a matter of time before you become an alcoholic, or worse, a drug addict. If you keep having this ridiculous way of living, one day you'll have to suffer the consequences."
"Yes father. This won't ha-"
"I DON'T NEED YOUR EMPTY PROMISES!" Asmodeus snapped, his face flushed with anger "I need your actions! That's why tomorrow you're leaving."
"What?" Magnus furrowed his eyebrows at his father's words.
"You're moving in with my friends' family in Alicante tomorrow. No buts!"
Asmodeus silenced his son with a glare.
"Two months. No technology devices. No alcohol. No sparkly, glittery, whatever clothes in Lilith's name you are wearing. And especially. No. Louging. Around. You have to work in their shop to help them."
Magnus stared at his father in shock for a moment before burst out "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND??? Two months? That's basically all summer! And not to mention, my phone and glitter are important to me. Without glitter, i'm not Magnus Bane! I'm just a boring, plain person and so so so so ordinary!"
He grimaced at the word.
"You still can have your hair products and make up. That's it! Now go to your room and start packing. You have a long flight ahead."
Magnus couldn't do anything but obey. To make him feel worse, his father called out after him "Oh and i will freeze your bank account too. Don't bother to try doing anything!"
Magnus lost it at that moment.

Slumping further into his seat on his family's private plane, Magnus couldn't decide which thing was more awful; living with a bunch of completely strangers for two months without his precious phone, being broke, not being to throw parties or the fact that his outfits in the next two month didn't even have a bit of glitter on them.
'Please Lilith, my lady, let the plane crash in the middle of nowhere!' he mentally begged before darkness clouded his mind.

"Act nicely, Magnus!" Asmodeus scolded his listless son when they got off the plane. Magnus just stared blankly back at his father, ignore every words he said. The man was about to give a speech then something...no, someone caught his attention.
"Robert! Maryse!" he exclaimed enthusiastically, as he strode forward to embrace the couple.
"Asmodeus, my good friend!" Robert patted the CEO's back when they pulled away, a grin plastered on his face, "It's been a long time!"
"Indeed it has," Asmodeus agreed.
Magnus had never seen his father this happy before, ever since his mother passed away.
"But you don't seem to have change at all. Except for this..." he poked his best friend's pot belly, earning a smack on the head.
Maryse flicked her eyes to Magnus, who was hiding behind his father. "Is this your son, Amo? "
Magnus snorted at the nickname but was still polite as he stepped forward to take Maryse's hand in his and kissed her forehand "The name's Magnus, Mrs. Lightwood."
"Oh don't be so formal, honey." Maryse waved her hand dismissively "Maryse is fine."
Magnus flashed her his charming smile, then a cough came out from behind her, followed by an irritating voice saying, "So...are we invisible now?"
They all turned around. Magnus's green-gold eyes immediately met azure blue ones. His gaze was instantly pulled to the tall, unconfident boy at the back behind the other boy and girl. The boy was so beautiful that Magnus almost had to check his pulse to see if he was still breathing.
Angled cheekbones, straight nose, thick, curly dark eyeslashes framing those gorgeous eyes. They were the bluest, most stunning eyes Magnus had ever seen. His porcelain skin further enhanced his thick, messy, black hair that concealed his cerulean eyes, casting shadows over his angelic face.
Magnus snapped out of his trance as he realized the other boy, the gold one, was talking. Again.
"I'm Jace," he exclaimed, introducing himself.
He was good looking but Magnus didn't think he was anything special. Too golden and short for his liking.
"This is Isabelle," he gestured to the tall girl who looked almost exactly like the pretty boy. Her eyes were brown and he could feel confidence radiating from her.
"Lastly, this is Alexander. But he prefers to be called Alec." He pointed to the pretty boy.
Magnus looked Alec up and down like he was trying to see through the boy's moth-eaten sweater and black jeans. Magnus smiled as he noticed his action brought a faint blush to the shorter boy's face.
"Hello Jace, Isabelle and...Alexander." Magnus purred slightly at the name and was granted a brighter blush.
It seemed to him that the next two months wouldn't be as bad as he imagined.
