So I was just looking back and rereading Scaly Lennon (a book I cowrote with adayinthelifeofjohn ) for about the hundredth time and I was thinking about what John and George looked like when they became dragons in the book. Also I wanted to show off my brand new colored pencils and how awesome they are! Finally I can color in something other than crappy crayons! So first off is John.

I put John in a similar outfit that he wore in that scene from Help! where all the Beatles are at the Bahamas. Anyways, I think I did good with him except I might have made his hands too small, I mostly proud of how his face turned out.

I really like how Dragon-John looks as well, I gave him the colors of John's Sgt. Pepper outfit and I especially love how his wings turned out. I might need to have done a bit more work on the belly scales but oh well. I know when John was a dragon in the story he was much bigger than that, but I didn't have a big enough paper or enough colored pencils to draw on a giant poster paper.

Anyways, now it's George's turn!

Midway through the book George gets captured and then ends up becoming brainwashed into an evil dragon in order to fight John. He soon breaks out of his spell but then is still scared about transforming again, which is why George's looking so worried at his dragon self. Anyways, I think I did well with George (excluding the shoes, they look off to me.)

Dragon-George was so much fun to draw! I made him look as menacing as possible and I love how his wings look. The only problem was that the spikes and horns were a bit of a pain to color in.
