Happy's POV:

   I finished packing in no time. The others stood quietly, almost as if waiting for some explanation. Well, it suited me just fine to have silence for a change.

    I did not say a word to them. Carla must have told them I  was in no mood for a conversation. Well, that suited me fine.

     I handed over the sack to Natsu who slung it over his shoulder. He glanced my way as if to say something, but sighed instead. 

     The group and I headed off on our mission. I hoped the mission would not go as horrible as I thought. I dreaded the idea of anyone getting hurt because of me. I could not help the trouble with my wings. It wasn't like I could ask Wendy about it when she was away with Jellal, Ezra, and a few others on their assignment.  Despite, being stuck on the ground for a change, I would do my best to keep up with the others.

     I found the task to be a bit of a challenge. I was determined no matter what to prove that  I was the same cat with or without my flight. Easier said than done.  Once, we arrived I discovered that Carla had accepted the mission due to some requirements she felt she would excel at.  Talk about adding insult to injury here.

      The thing started okay, but I can't say there were no repercussions. Natsu was hit with a blast that almost killed him. Lucy stood in front to shield him and she was caught up in a whirlwind that got her entangled in dangerous vines. Carla managed to defeat the villain but with a few bruises and a mangled left ear.  After Lisanna helped Lucy free herself from the vines, she tended to Natsu's wounds. Then, she grabbed up Carla who was worn out.  I felt like I had not been much help.  Well, it was not my fault. Not really. 

         Soon, we arrived back at the guild, and to our relief, Wendy and her group were already there. She healed Lucy, Carla, and Natsu.  She healed Lisanna's shoulder. She then took a look at my wings. "Oh, dear, where did you encounter this goop?"She asked. I shrugged my shoulders. I could not recall any goop.  Wendy stood there smiling. "I will have this stuff cleared off your wings and they should  be back to normal in no time, Happy."  

      True to her word she got my wings cleaned off and they started to flap again. I felt my mood return to normal. I apologized to the others for my sour mood. "It is okay, everyone has bad days now and then, buddy," Natus remarked. "Yes, he's right, we all do," Lucy agreed.  Lisanna hugged me. Carla kissed my cheek, "Glad you are better, sweetie." I blushed at her words.

      My bad day, somehow turned around already.
