basically an AU where it's a continuation of ATUS

in ATUS, i think in the last chapter, Grian says that there are "other Watchers who will come for this territory" so i was thinking...

Two new Watchers come along, but they look more human than Braid and Crown were. One has a side shave and hair running down to their chin; they're mask is a gold color and Grian calls them Gold. The other has a low ponytail and a silver mask; Grian calls them Silver.

Gold and Silver terrorize Grian and Hermitcraft, but slightly differently than Braid and Crown did. They appear in certain hermit's dreams with their masks off, so they don't look like Watchers. They choose hermits who are more naive and peaceful, like Zed or Python (no offense to them lol).

Gold and Silver say that they're players that were trapped in the End City by the Watchers and this is their only form of communication to other players. They begin to regularly visit the players they chose, just talking and stuff. Eventually, they give them a mask as a gift, saying it has special void powers. The masks aren't proper masks, but rather white blindfolds with the Watcher symbols painted on them.

These players wake up with these masks in their hand and try them on. It's fine at first, they just get the Watcher wings and halo thingy and powers. But the more they use their powers, the more corrupted they become and the more control the Watchers have over them. These corrupted players hide their abilities from the others because they don't them taken away.

When the other hermits find out, they try to take the masks and burn them. But that doesn't stop their control. The corrupted players get Watcher symbols as their pupils and stay under the influence of the new Watchers.

The remaining hermits make a plan. A small group will go to the Watcher dimension while the others stay and hold off their corrupted friends. Grian goes to the Watcher dimension because he's like "wtf is happening i need to know".

The Watcher dimension has been changed. The castle is gone and has been transformed into an End City ship. Gold and Silver are practically waiting for them, just sitting on the edge of the ship and staring down at them while smiling.

These new Watchers don't seem to want to do anything but play with the hermits because they immediately toss them the splash potions to fix their friends. Grian tells the others to go back and fix things while he stays there to talk with Gold and Silver.

Gold and Silver explain that since this server was open, they wanted to play around. They used to players who were taken in by other Watchers and they wanted to have some fun of their own.

Grian feels many emotions. Anger, fear, confusion, but before he can say anymore they push him back into the portal and disable it.

i put way too much thought into this ;-; also this Silver is not my persona Silver who lives with M! This Silver is different :3

(oh and Gold&Silver lowkey take EX to become a Watcher and call him Visor but that's not important rn- )
